April 12, 2012 will mark the 150th anniversary of the actual day when James Andrews and a group of Union raiders captured the locomotive The General in Big Shanty (modern Kennesaw), only to be pursued and caught by William Fuller and Confederate soldiers using three different locomotives over the course of the chase. At this event actors and interpreters will retell the story of the Great Locomotive Chase inside the museum.
