"Collective Community Organizing"Welcome to this year's Georgia Health Equity Summit!We are very excited this year to offer the community a unique learning opportunity that is FREE and OPEN to ALL Georgia nonprofit organizations, university partners and public health students.This year's summit is focused on helping community-based organizations build the organizational capacity they need to make significant changes in their communities. The summit will focus on using the Action Toolkit developed by California Newsreel as part of their Unnatural Causes program.Participants will view excerpts from the Unnatural Causes DVD, participate in an interactive discussion about Health Equity and how to identify Health Disparities in their communities. Participants will also be introduced to the Unnatural Causes Action Toolkit. The Toolkit will serve as a guide for generating community collaborations, building bridges of communication between nonprofit organizations serving the same or similar communities, and provide a framework for recruiting support for your health-related activities.Parking and Meals are provided free of charge.Registration is limited to 120 participants, so we encourage groups of three (3) or more to register early.We look forward to seeing you there on April 20th!
