Oakland Cemetery’s Tunes from the Tombs is back by popular demand for 2012. Don’t miss out on the Americana style music festival featuring over a 100 bands and musicians from Atlanta, New Orleans, California, and Australia performing an eclectic blend of music from every genre. Five main music stages will be located in and around extraordinary monuments, mausoleums and renowned gardens while Buskers and street performers entertain visitors throughout the cemetery grounds. Tunes from the Tombs will feature a wide array of well-known musical acts including: Peter Case, Abbey Wren and What It Is, The Villain Family, 4th Ward Afro-Klezmer Orchestra, Catfight!, Strung Like A Horse, The Whiskey Gentry, The Usual Suspects, and former The Voice contestant Rebecca Loebe. To soothe your spirits, Tunes from the Tombs will have plenty of beer and wine, plus local Atlanta food trucks will be serving a variety of tasty festival fair. Festival attendees can also take a complimentary guided mini tour, or have their fortune read by the famous Robyn Avalon . There is sure to be something for everyone! Tickets may be purchased at the gates and will be $10 for one day or $15 for a two day pass. Children 12 and under will be admitted for $5 or $10 for a two day pass. Children 3 and under are free.
