Boortz Blast Exclusive: What if Obama were a Republican?
I’ll get to what would happen if Obama were a Republican, but first a rant …
The amazing thing that has been demonstrated in the days following the attack on our embassy in Benghazi and the subsequent radical Islamic protests around the world is this: The ObamaMedia will go to unbelievable lengths to protect their God, Barack Obama, from criticism.
For years I’ve been telling you that the media is in the tank for Obama … I call them the ObamaMedia for a reason. Before the election in 2008, they were dedicated to making sure that this guy would make it into the White House. This explains the pathetic attempts (or lack thereof) of the ObamaMedia to even vet Obama during the campaign. Instead, they were too busy tingling over their “sort of a God” who had to “step down” in order to become President of the United States. And they succeeded. Obama was elected. But now their guy is in trouble. His poll numbers were starting to slip as the economy failed to recover, and it was becoming clear that Obama had no idea what he was doing. So the ObamaMedia went into overdrive, attempting to protect the man who they anointed. His failure as president and the failure to get him re-elected would be a reflection on their failure to pick a winner.
But then it hit … a full-blown crisis abroad … a terrorist attack on a day in which Americans were mourning the loss of thousands of American lives at the hands of radical Islamic extremists. On this day, protestors storm the embassy in Cairo, raising black flag in place of the American flag and chanting in the name of “Allah.” Within hours, the United States embassy in Cairo releases a statement. The statement goes on to condemn a private US citizen for a movie that he made about Islam and the Prophet Muhammad and apologize for hurting the feelings of Muslims. Within hours, the US embassy in Benghazi is then stormed in (what we now know to be) a planned attack on September 11th. These radicals manage to kill four Americans, including the US ambassador. In the days that followed, these protests spread throughout the Islamic world. What we have here is a crisis for our Dear Ruler, who once claimed that his Inauguration would mark the day that the world would look at America different, especially the Islamic world since he himself had lived in a Muslim country.
In the days following the protests we have Generals of the US military calling private American citizens, telling them to condemn the offending video. We have the FBI locate and investigate the creator of said video. We also have the US government request that the video be pulled from the site hosting it. In other words, our rights in America suddenly come into question. Not to mention the fact that we have the President of the United States heading off to a fundraiser in Las Vegas the day after these attacks, and we later come to find that he went to sleep the night that our Libyan ambassador Chris Stevens was killed, knowing that there was an attacking besieging the embassy and the ambassador was missing. Oh and amongst all of this, we come to find that Barack Obama turned down a request from the Israeli Prime Minister for a meeting later this month, but did have time to talk to David Letterman and attend a fundraiser hosted by Beyonce and Jay-Z.
We have ALL of this going on in America and around the world and what does the ObamaMedia want to focus on? They want to lambast Mitt Romney for his criticism of the initial response from Cairo, which apologized for offending the feelings of Muslims. THAT became THE story out of all of this mess. Why did that happen? Because the ObamaMedia didn’t want the other icky stuff to be the story, because this would force them to then ask the tough questions – questions about why Obama’s Middle East policy suddenly seems to be collapsing, questions about why he turned down the request for a meeting from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, questions about how these terrorist will be brought to justice or what we are doing to secure our diplomats and embassies abroad, questions about the US government’s violation of certain citizens’ rights in the face of this outrage. THESE should have been the stories. THESE should have been the headlines. But they weren’t. Instead, by a 20-to-1 margin, the ObamaMedia (at least TV) focused on Mitt Romney’s ObamaMedia-created “gaffe” instead of Obama’s failed Middle East policies.
So in light of all of this, someone by the name of David French did something very clever. He came up with the top six headlines that would have been written if Barack Obama had been a Republican. He absolutely nailed this one. Take a listen. [4:46]
