Back To DC For A Few

After another busy week on the road, President Barack Obama will be at the White House this wekeend doing a bit of work.

Next week he will give a Presidential Address to a Joint Session of Congress.  Note that it is not a State of the Union Address, which we will talk about ad nauseum in coming days.

Then, next Thursday, the feds will roll out the first Obama budget.

Both of those news events are more than enough to make my head spin, because of all the jabbering and preparation that goes with them.

It's safe to say that Mr. Obama will spend part of the weekend fleshing out that speech and making sure all the numbers are adding up right on the budget.

It will be interesting to see if he makes any bold statements with this budget, because now is certainly the time to do that.  In another year or two, it might be a yawner.

I bet the Obama speech gets lukewarm reviews from the media, but then receives huge numbers in the polls.

Right now, there is a little bit of a disconnect between Political Washington and those Outside the Beltway in America.

Inside the Beltway, there's still talk of how Obama is having setbacks and more.

Outside the Beltway, the guy has huge polling numbers.

I'm telling you, he is on his way to being the Democratic version of Ronald Reagan.  Nothing bad sticks to this guy either.
