There were 27 amendments filed in the Senate to the tax deal reached between the White House and Congressional Republicans.  It's not clear if any of them will get a vote.

Senators of both parties have introduced everything from a completely new bill, to expansion and extension of certain tax breaks and modifications of individual provisions.

Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) still hopes to get a vote on at least one of his plans to cut billions in spending in order to offset the cost of some of the underlying provisions in this tax deal.

But he may get elbowed aside by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

As for a final vote in the Senate on the tax deal, no time has been set as yet at this writing.
