There is no worse tyranny than to force a man to pay for what he does not want merely because you think it would be good for him.   -- Robert Heinlein

HAVE YOU EVER HAD ONE OF THOSE MORNINGS?

Yeah .. where everything that could go wrong .. does.  The biggest problem?  No high-speed internet access.  The result?  Limited time to translate my efforts into notes for the Nuze. So ... for today, and for tomorrow since we're on the road, a very limited effort at the web page.  But this time I'm not going to use that "hey, it's not like you're paying for it" line.

MOVING THE SHOW TO DISNEY TOMORROW

We'll be flying to Orlando, the land of 580 WDBO, this afternoon after we sign off.  Tomorrow the show comes to you from the Futureworld area of Disney's Epcot Center.  If you happen to be at Disney ... come on by and see us!

THIS IS GETTING RIDICULOUS

Gary Coleman is running for Governor of California?  I guess he's going to need an elevated election platform.  Coleman's campaign is being promoted by a small newspaper that is upset with the entire recall process.  Coleman says that he is the least powerful candidate in the race.  True enough.  Can you think of a better state for a circus like this to happen?

Hey, I like Arnold .. but I have to wonder where he got the experience to be governor.  At least Reagan had some experience running a union.  Gary Coleman can't even keep tract of his own money, how can he oversee the seventh (I think) largest economy in the world?  And Arianna Huffington?  This woman can't even figure out what her own political philosophy is.  She would be a thrill to watch in Sacramento.

And what about Barbra Streisand, Rob Reiner, Alec Baldwin?  These plastic people are so good at telling everyone else how it should be done .. why don't they step in and just show us?

Then there's Larry Flint, a/k/a Jabba the Smutmaster.  He says he can solve California's spending problems with slot machines.  Right now he has legal woes stemming from his habit of washing his sex toys in the office dishwasher.

When's the election?  October?  That gives us about two months of fun before someone inherits California's money troubles.

GREAT REACTION

I hope you had to hear Congressman John Linder on the show yesterday discussing the Fair Tax proposal.  I am pleased to report that the reaction from the listeners via e-mail was fantastic.  We had well over 1000 messages ... and 97% of them were favorable.  Remember, to learn more about HR 25, the Fair Tax bill.  Remember, whether or not this concept becomes law and transforms our nation and our economy is up to you.  The federal income tax will end only if you get behind the plan.  Your letters can put this think on the radar screens of the Beltway crowd.  Don't sit on your hands.  Here's that website if you need any more information:  http://www.fairtax.org.
