THE HILDABEAST STIRS

The most dangerous person in American politics, Hitlary Clinton, is the center of rumors in Washington again.  The word is that Shrillary and her advisors, including her so-called "husband," will be meeting late next week to look at options.  There will be pollsters, finance types and various other advisors on board.  They are interested in only one thing ... does it look like George Bush is beatable in 2004?  If so, Hillary will run.  She cannot afford to see some other Democrat take the White House in 2004 for that would mean a delay in her presidential aspirations until 2012.  Her ambitions can't be put on hold for that long.

Hillary Clinton is fundamentally dishonest.  She believes that America is great because of government, and that American can only achieve more greatness if she is in charge.  She is a stalwart in the war against individuality and anti-capitalist to her core.  She is a woman who is willing to endure a sham marriage for over two decades in order to bask in someone else's political power and to build her own.

If Hitlary runs 2004 will be the most dangerous presidential election in my lifetime.  Too many voters look to the federal government as a replacement for their parents, there to make every hurt better, to feed and to clothe, to make them well and to keep them happy.  Hillary is a dream candidate for these people who are all-too willing to give up freedom in return for security.

The Clintons own and control the Democratic Party.  If Hillary wants the nomination, it is hers.  Ninety-five percent of black voters, 75% of white Democrats and 60% of women are ready to put her in the White House right now.  One day they may recognize her disdain for the great unwashed, the common man; her intense hatred of the military and her contempt for the individual.  Oh yes, they'll recognize it ... but not until after they've taken that dreadful step of making her our chief executive.

AND SOME BAD NEWS FOR HILLARY

Numbers released yesterday show that the economy is growing faster than expected.   Growing economy?  Hey, I thought this was the worst economy since the Great Depression!  That's what those Democrat candidates are saying, and they certainly wouldn't lie to us, would they?  If the economy is growing it will be good news for Bush's reelection hopes, and bad news for American socialists and their darling Hillary.

OUR POSTAL SERVICE AT WORK

You do realize, don't you, that the U.S. Postal service is refusing to deliver hundreds of donated air conditioners to our men and women serving in the 100+ degree temperatures of Iraq.  The postal service says that these air conditioners contain environmentally dangerous coolants.   That would be freon. Freon has been shipped by various carriers around the world for decades without any accidents or major mishaps, but now ... when American men and women are fighting terrorism overseas ... the postal service suddenly becomes a branch of the EPA.

NEW TEN COMMANDMENTS LAWSUIT

A Christian radio talk show host was one of the plaintiffs who filed a lawsuit today demanding the return of that Ten Commandments monument to the Alabama Judicial Building.  They claim that the removal of the monument violates their religious freedom.  That would mean that they believe that they should be free to use government facilities, and that means using government, to promote their religion.  To deny them to use the government to promote their religion is to deny them their religious freedom!  OK .. tell me how big a step it is for these people to claim that a denial of their right to use the law to control the actions of others is a violation of their religious freedom? By the way. I've been watching some of these demonstrators outside of the Alabama Judicial Building. You get the distinct impression that they are more interested in worshipping that monument than they are in worshiping God.

TELL ME THIS IS NECESSARY

I guess I don't have to tell you that we have a presidential election year coming up.  I know I don't have to tell general aviation pilots.  Over the next 12 months President Bush is going to be criss-crossing the country raising money and making campaign appearances.  Every time Air Force One descends for a landing a TFR (Temporary Flight Restriction) will be put in place.  No general aviation aircraft will be permitted to operate within the confines of this TFR.  Sounds reasonable, doesn't it?  Sure it is.  There is no doubt we need to take some special measures to protect our leaders during this war against Islamic terrorism.  But do you think 2,826 square miles is just a bit much?  That's right.  These presidential movement TFRs are almost 3000 square miles huge.  Any general aviation aircraft found flying in these TFR areas will be intercepted by military aircraft and forced to land.  The situation is so bad that the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association is sending cards to pilots so that they will know the proper intercept procedures.  I know ... most of you aren't really going to get worked up over this.  It's really no big deal when draconian security procedures affect someone else.   Just so long as they don't affect you, right?

A TEENAGER DID IT

Word this morning is that the FBI is getting ready to arrest some 18-year-old for unleashing that internet virus/worm that attacked tens of thousands of computers last week.  If they have the right kid, and they prove their case, and this menace gets off with some probation or is sentenced to community service it will be an encouragement for many more of his ilk to proceed with their chaotic plans.  Slam the little SOB in jail for about five years.  After that put him on computer probation for an additional five years.  If he so much as picks up a Game Boy he'll be slammed back in jail.

BUSTAMANTE IS A DEMOCRAT ... SO IT'S OK

Have you ever heard of MEChA?  That's an acronym of sorts for the Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan.  MEChA has a little slogan.  See how you like it.  "For the race, everything.  For those outside the race, nothing."  Aztlan, by the way, is the name they have given to the southwestern United States.  MEChA members say that this is their homeland and they insist that all whites who currently hold political power in this area must be removed.

In 1996 members of this "student group" were videotaped attacking black and white Americans who were protesting illegal immigration.  A few years earlier MEChA students (they call themselves Mechistas) caused a half-million dollars worth of damage at UCLA during a protest demanding a Chicano Studies department.

Cruz Bustamante, who may well become California's next governor, was a member of this group when he went to college.  Today he is still a supporter of MEChA.  He says that these students are just trying to get an education.

Many are calling MEChA a racist organization.  I won't.  What I've read just doesn't fit the definition.   I think it's fair, though, to call it bigoted.  There is an obvious dislike of whites and blacks and a stated purpose of removing whites from political power in certain areas.

Every single person reading or listening to this knows full well that if any white Republican were a member of such a group he or she would be hounded 24/7 until they withdraw and renounce all previous contacts.  Bustamante, however, is a Democrat.  The rules for Democrats are different, especially when their Democratic fellow-travelers control the media.

THE CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS HAVE BEGIN

Yesterday the city of Alabaster, Alabama filed a lawsuit in court to seize the property of a small group of homeowners for the construction of a shopping center.  This property is being seized because politicians think that the new owner will produce more tax revenue for the city than the present owners do.  Just click here for more details on this travesty.  It's not only happening in Alabaster, my friends, it's happening across the country.  Years ago the only valid reasons for the government using force to seize property from a private system was that the property was needed for a "public use," something like a school, roads, or a fire station.  Today politicians look at a piece of property and say to themselves "You know, if we took those homes away from those people and put that property in the hands of someone who would build a shopping center, we could get a lot more tax money that we could use spend on public programs!  That's a "public use," isn't it?

In the history of mankind no country based on economic freedom has survived without protecting the private property rights of its citizens.  Those private property rights are under a full scale frontal assault in this country.  Its too bad we don't have some judges with the guts to stand in the way.

READING ASSIGNMENTS

Just how fast did our economy grow in the second quarter?  Try 3.1 percent. A surprisingly good performance.  Democrats aren't what you would call "thrilled."

George Bush has nominated  Janice Rogers Brown of California to a Federal Appeals Court bench.  It's not just any appeals court either.  It's the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.  Janice Rogers Brown is black and she's a woman.  She's also a conservative.  She'll be added to the Democratic judicial  filibuster list in the Senate.

It's pretty well accepted that the Fox News lawsuit against Al Franken was a complete public relations disaster.  How could Roger Ailes do such a stupid thing?  Well, it turns out Ailes was against the lawsuit, but he caved into the demands of his Prima Donna Star ... none other than Bill O'Reilly.

Air conditioning was invented in 1902.  It's now over 100 years later and the French still haven't installed air conditioning in their hospitals and nursing homes.  In the meantime, over 10,000 old folks died in the recent heat wave while medical personnel could do nothing but spray their faces with water.  I checked and I still believe that France is categorized as a western nation.

There's a bill waiting in the U.S. Senate to authorize some foreign aid and other State Department programs.  President Bush would get some extra leverage in foreign affairs dealings if this bill is passed.  One Senator has added some amendments to the bill.  Those amendments deal with hate crime legislation and increases in the minimum wage.  This Senator has added those provisions because he knows he can't get them passed without attaching them to something else.  And just who would Senator be?

In California a bill has been passed that prohibits DMV officials from checking to see if people who apply for licenses were ever convicted of murder or any other violent crime.  The bill will also allow illegal immigrants to get driver's licenses.  A year ago Gray Davis said he wouldn't sign such a bill.  What tune is he singing now?  Hey, in California those illegal aliens vote!

OK ... so illegal aliens might be able to get driver's licenses in California.  Did you know that illegal aliens are actually buying homes in the Washington D.C. area?

You've seen the map with the blue states and the red states.  The blue states are the ones that voted for Gore in the last election.  The red states voted Bush.  Now --- a quiz.  The Census Bureau keeps tract of the comings-and-goings in various states.  One set of states is showing  population losses, the other is generally showing gains.  People, in other words, are voting with their feet.  Would you like to try to match the colors to population gains or losses?

The Hispanic campaign against Schwarzenegger begins.  The League of United Latin American Citizens is slamming Arnold because of his support for the English language.
