MY THANKS ...

To the Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgia for your hospitality last night.  I hope you enjoyed listening to my ranting and raving at your annual banquet as much as I did.  A great and very receptive crowd.  Tomorrow I'll be in Columbia, Mo. to speak at the University of Missouri!  A conflicting engagement cause me to cancel this speech a few months ago, and I'll do my best to make it up to you tomorrow!  Time:  12:00 noon.  Place:  Jesse Auditorium. Doors open at 11:30.  If the Mizzou crowd is anywhere near as great as that University of Georgia crowd last week we're going to have a great time.

NOW ... THE DOWNSIDE

When I travel out of town for a speech, as I did last night, it means less time for preparing notes for this page.  Besides .. I'm starting to save some of the best stuff for the free subscription newsletter.  Have you signed up yet?

IN THE MIDST OF ALL THIS FRENZY ...

... just something to think about.  Do I think Michael Jackson is a pervert?  Most definitely.  Just look at the mug shot.  Is this visage of a normal, person?  One thought keeps crossing my mind though.  Is it possible that Jackson got tired of paying blackmail money to some parents, and those parents retaliated by going to the police?  Some of the news reports say that Jackson lavished money, cars and possibly a new home on this family before the alleged incidents of abuse.  Could the family have become dependent on Jackson's largesse?  Did they become bitter when the money dried up?  Did they make threats?  In plain language, did Jackson fail to respond to a blackmail threat?

Just some things to keep in mind ... especially if you happen to end up on a jury.

OSAMA IN IRAN

Fox News Channel is reporting that Osama bin Laden is Iran.  He's shaved his head, cut and dyed his beard, and is alive and well in Iran.  He's spending his time planning terrorist attacks against the United States.  The Iranians are harboring bin Laden to counter the effects of the democratization of Afghanistan on one border and Iraq on the other.

So ... at a time when the Democratic Party is doing everything in their power to undermine President Bush's efforts in the war on terror, we have Osama bin Laden reportedly alive and well in Iran trying to make good on Al Qaeda's promise to launch yet another terrorist attack on Americans .. this time in hopes of killing about 100,000 of us.

Bluntly stated ... the Democratic Party has placed its obsession over regaining power in Washington over and above the safety of the American people and the pursuit of the war on terror.  Their own leader, Bill Clinton, repeatedly stated that Osama bin Laden was a threat to Americans and needed to be neutralized.  The problem is that Clinton was all talk, little action.  Now there's a president who may not be as good with the words as Clinton was .. .but he acts.

Every single statement from a leftist Democratic presidential candidate against our efforts in Afghanistan or Iraq is a statement that emboldens those who are trying to kill us.  If that horrendous terrorist attack does come to pass on American soil; if we do find ourselves sitting in front of the television one night watching officials cite an ever-increasing body count from the latest terrorist attack on American soil --- don't forget the role played by the party of appeasement.  Don't forget the role played by Howard Dean, John Kerry, Dennis Kucinich and Weasely Clark.  Don't forget the role played by the Democratic Party.

READING ASSIGNMENTS

Starting with a little light reading.  Here is what some purport to be Hitlary's plan to step forward and "heal" the Democratic Party by agreeing to a 2004 presidential draft.

That bizarre 9th Circuit Court out there in California has decided that gun manufacturers can be held responsible for what people do with the guns they make.

Have you been watching the Weasley Clark campaign?  Ever seen a shooting star burn out faster?  Well hell.  I wonder if the Clintons are sorry they wasted their time on this guy.

We have two, and only two choices in Iraq.  We either proceed to win the war against the terrorists, or we accept defeat.  You know which route the Democrats want to take.  What's your choice?

Here we have a U.S. Senator who says he is going to block the year-end spending bill if it contains a provision prohibiting states from taxing your Internet access.
