READ THIS LEAD SENTENCE ABOUT FOUR TIMES

You're going to have to read it several times to let it sink in.  Here goes:

"Senior FBI officials took the unusual step Tuesday of publicly declaring that agents are not using the war against terrorism as a cover to collect information on people who demonstrate against the government."

Say what?

Just last week we learned that the chairman of those anti-war demonstrations in London was the leader of the British communist party.  The co-chairman was the leader of the London Council of Mosques.  Do you think this type of leadership is peculiar just to demonstrations in England?  Many of the anti-war demonstrations in the United States have been either funded or organized by a group called International ANSWER (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism).  International ANSWER is affiliated with a group called the International Action Center (IAC) , and the leader of that group is none other than Ramsey Clark.  Some have gone so far as to identify the IAC as a Stalinist organization.  Ramsey Clark, by the way, was retained by Iraq as their U.S. attorney prior to the liberation.  Other groups affiliated with ANSWER and the IAC would be the Green (Socialist) Party USA, the New Communist Party of the Netherlands, International Family and Friends of (cop killer) Mumia Abu-Jamal and other leftist and/or anti-American groups.

Want more?  On January 18th of this year the Workers World Party staged anti-American demonstrations on the East and West coasts.  Washington and San Francisco. The Workers World Party is a heavy supporter of North Korea's gargoyle Kim Jong Il.  The principal organizer of these rallies was Brian Becker.  Becker is a board member of both ANSWER and the IAC and is a member of the secretariat of the Workers World Party in the United States.

OK .. enough.  You get the picture.  There is no shortage of people who hate America and who would willingly do America harm in the antiwar movement in this country.  Sure, the demonstrations are and should remain legal.  It's a free country, and I have no problem with communists, fascists ... whoever ... peacefully demonstrating against the actions of our government.  If, however, these coalitions of antiwar and sometimes anti-American leftists serve as a breeding ground for violent plots against Americans or American targets, we need to know it.

Now we listen to our FBI telling us that they absolutely aren't out there collecting information about the people involved in these demonstrations.  We're at war.  The very people we're fighting are engaged in supporting and promoting demonstrations against that war.  Islamic terrorists are making noises about releasing deadly gasses in our subway systems and other public places.  Car bombings are evidently on the menu also.   If the people with ill feelings toward the United States are gathering in one place to express those feelings ... and if these people are associated with violence and anti-American organizations ... shouldn't we be keeping an eye on them?

IT'S AN INSULT

Hillary Clinton is going to Iraq to visit with our troops over the Thanksgiving holiday.  Well, it's not like she would want to spend the holiday with her husband, is it.

Does she have a right to go?  Certainly she does.  Is it smarmy?  You bet it is.

Until Hitlary set her eyes on the Presidency she wouldn't give the military the time of day.  While her husband was in the White House The Hildabeast used Marines in dress blues to circulate around her parties carrying trays of munchies.  Hillary's White House staffers would openly insult anyone in uniform, telling them that "we don't talk to people wearing military uniforms."

Now Shrillary is going to Iraq for her big photo opportunity with men and women in actual combat.  Sorry, but this one really rubs me the wrong way.

AND A GREAT HOLIDAY TO YOU

I'm already in the Thanksgiving mode.  This means I watched a movie last night instead of working on the show ... and then slept in this morning.  So ... let's post what we have and head for the studio!  I hope you and your families have a fantastic Thanksgiving weekend.

READING ASSIGNMENTS

Our Homeland Security department is warning that Al Qaeda is working on plans to spread deadly gasses in subway systems and other public indoor facilities.  Hey, I have an idea.  Let's not fight these bastards ... let's appease them.  Maybe that will work.

Cal Thomas gets it right.  The just concluded Congress was a complete embarrassment to both itself and to anyone who wants and favors smaller government.

For those of you who arise every morning to worry and complain about how Bush is shipping all of our jobs overseas.  Get used to the fact that jobs come and go.  That's how the economy works.  This column from Walter Williams.

And just how are we doing in the fight for smaller government?  Mandatory government spending is now over 11% of our nation's GDP.  No excuse.  This is what you get when Americans look to government for a solution to every problem they face.

Perhaps you have committed a crime.  A big one, like murder or rape, or a tiny little one like a rolling stop at a stop sign.  Now your guilt is consuming you ... and you want to turn yourself in.  The East Point Police are making it easy on you.  Just click here to arrest yourself.

A federal criminal investigation into XtraJet has begun.  Good.  These are the people who have no idea in the world how those cameras and that video recorded got into that jet they chartered to Michael Jackson last week.  Yeah, right.

Maybe it isn't such a good idea for a police officer to put a stuffed gorilla on the grill of his squad car.  You know, political correctness and all that.

A Republican staffer on Senate Judy has been suspended for snooping into the computer files of a Democratic staffer.  What do you think your chances are of ever seeing the Democrats suspend one of their staffers for similar conduct?

Did you know that our government was paying out wrongful death claims to the families of Iraqi civilians who are killed in military action?  When are families of German and Japanese casualties of World War II going to step forward?

Guess who is going to spend Thanksgiving with our troops in Iraq.    Hint:  Before she got this idea about becoming she wouldn't give any of these men and women in the military a second thought.

There seems to be a move afoot to Boot Boortz!  The pro-appeasement website antiwar.com is upset that I'm scheduled to speak before the Libertarian National Convention next year here in Atlanta.  Antiwar.com is asking that you send email to or call the Libertarian Party to ask that my invitation be rescinded.  This comes from the same columnist who wrote another column entitled "Go F*uck Yourself, Mr. President."
