TUESDAY 10/21/03A LITTLE TRIP TO FANTASYLAND Howard Dean, John Kerry, John Edwards, Dennis Kucinich, Wesley Clark and the rest of the party of appeasement have been doing everything they can to encourage Baathist dreams of a return to power in Iraq. Islamic terrorist organizations around the world could be excused for believing that they would have a much easier time pursuing their terrorist goals if one of these appeasers were to win the presidency. Think about it. Every one of these candidates either voted against or said they would vote against continued funding for President Bush's efforts to restructure Iraq with a democratically elected government that would recognize the rights of individual Iraqi citizens. Every one of these of these candidates opposed continued funding of our military efforts to remove Saddam and his Baath Party goons from power. How could Islamic terrorists not be encouraged by this? Just hold on for a year and things might well be a lot easier for them! Do these Democrats recognize that they are in fact giving aid and comfort to the enemy with their campaign tactics? Of course they do. They know full well that Islamic terrorist leaders are licking their beards at the prospect of another Democrat in the White House. Democrats see this as a price America should pay to have Democrats regain their rightful place in the seat of power. The Islamic terrorist leaders understand the Democratic culture, even if many American voters don't. They experienced it for eight years with Bill Clinton as president. During those eight years it was a lot of words and a few cruise missiles, but little else from America. Bill Clinton wouldn't even take bin Laden when he was offered up on a silver platter! Why would the terrorists think it would be any different under Dean, Kerry, Edwards or Clark? OK ... I said this was going to be a little trip to fantasyland. Do you want to know what would break the back of Islamic terrorism right now? This little event could have the impact of the capture of Saddam or Osama! It would take the heart out of the opposition in Iraq. It's not a new weapon, it's just a simple written joint statement. This is a "what if" fantasy, but what if every one of the Democrat candidates for president were to issue a press release, a joint statement to the media.
This will never happen, of course, because many at the core of Democratic Party leadership do not want America to be this strong. They view America as a mere member "state" of the United Nations, our de facto world government. If such a statement were issued it would have a profound demoralizing affect on the leadership of Islamic terrorism around the world. They would know that their way will not be easier after next year's election, no matter who wins. They would know that Americans -- all Americans -- are dedicated to their destruction. The divisiveness of the current campaign strengthens the terrorists. The constant partisan attacks on the president, the votes to discontinue funding and the condemnation of our efforts in Iraq serve to comfort terrorists and to give them hope for greater opportunities to make their mark in the future. This is the inevitable result of politicians putting their political fortunes above the security of the American people. OH MY, THE E-MAIL! Yesterday on the show I talked about a study from a medical school in California which determined that our sexual identities are hard-wired. In other words, homosexuality is not a choice, it is something that is genetically determined even before birth. Medical researchers were eager to conduct this study because they needed information on which way to go when performing corrective surgeries on people born with "ambiguous genitalia." Well, I expected it to happen ... and it did. There were literally hundreds of e-mail messages yesterday from people calling me everything but a Child of God for my position, and for bringing this study up on the air. Why is it that there are so many people out there who's lives would be completely ruined if it is ever shown that homosexuality is not a matter of choice? What do you as a straight male lose if researchers show that gay men were born that way; that they didn't chose their lifestyle or sexual orientation. Why is it so damned important to you that sexual orientation be a choice? I get e-mail on literally hundreds of subjects, but on no subject does the white-hot hatred rise to the level seen on e-mail from men who, for some reason, feel so threatened by the existence of homosexuals. THE MEDICAL TREATMENT OF OUR SOLDIERS The Pentagon is now saying that it is going to investigate yesterday's stories about hundreds of sick and wounded National Guard and Army Reserve soldiers waiting, sometimes for weeks or months, to see doctors at Ft. Stewart in Georgia. Some of these soldiers served in Iraq and may well be suffering from injuries suffered there. United Press International reports that one document shows that there are no more available appointments to see doctors until after Veterans Day. Are you watching what's happening to these reserve and guard soldiers in Georgia? Well, look hard, my friends. Today it's National Guard and Army Reserve soldiers at Ft. Stewart. Tomorrow it's you. This is government health care. This is what happens when you turn the health care of these people over to government ... and this is the future of health care in the United States. This is the future of health care in America because you believe that your health care isn't your business. No ... it's up to your employer or the government to take care of your health needs, certainly not you. Life insurance, auto insurance, homeowners insurance .. that's fine. You'll go out there and competitively shop for those products. But health insurance? No way! That's not your responsibility, is it? Noooooo. That's your employer's responsibility. Unless there is a huge and very quick change of attitude on the part of the American people, socialized medicine is inevitable in the United States. Right now these soldiers at Ft. Stewart have to wait weeks or months to see a doctor. Wait until the politicians get their way way with some sort of national health care plan. What makes you think they can do any better administering health care on a national basis than they can on one Army post? Read the stories about Ft. Stewart closely. It's your medical future they're talking about down there. NO MEDALS FOR YOU The Senate held a vote last week on whether or not to urge the Pentagon to issue "Global War on Terrorism" medals to troops who served in Iraq. The vote was 97 to 1. OK, so two senators missed the vote. That's understandable. But who was the Senator who actually voted to deny this medal to our men and women who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom? Why, it was none other than former Republican (now Independent) Senator "Jumpin'" Jim Jeffords from Vermont! Jefford's office said that the award would do a disservice by connecting Al Qaeda with Iraq ... a connection that Jeffords says doesn't necessarily exist. The really sad thing here is that even in Vermont, the only state to elect a socialist to congress, the great majority of the people would wholly approve of such a medal. Jeffords has been a non-player in Washington ever since the 2000 election which saw his former party take control of the Senate. ROGUES GALLERY Here are the 12 U.S. Senators who voted to withhold funding from our troops and our efforts in Iraq. This is the dirty dozen who's vote stands as encouragement to every Islamic terrorist out there who thinks that America doesn't have the will to resist. This is the noxious dozen who want to condemn thousands of Iraqis, perhaps tens of thousands of Iraqis who have cooperated with American troops in the liberation of their country to certain death upon the return of the Baathists to power. Do any of these Senators represent you? Hopefully you have the good sense to be ashamed.
The ones in red are candidates for president. Democrats. of course. I have a second home in Florida. As a part-time Florida resident may I say how embarrassed I am to be represented in that capacity by Bob Graham. Though he can still apparently fool the Florida voters, he at least recognized that the national Democrats weren't going to give him so much as the time of day. I think I'll go ahead and change my residence just so I can register and vote against the pathetic appeaser. THERE GOES THAT DAMNED FOX NEWS CHANNEL AGAIN Yup, that right wing news channel was actually showing more video of things going well in Iraq. Last night it was horse races. Iraqis were there gambling and the horse races weren't rigged to make sure that Uday's horses always won. The jockeys are happy, the folks in the stands are elated ... and it's all because Saddam is gone. Not once during this horse racing in Baghdad feature did the reporter mention any deaths of American soldiers. You just can't trust those right wingers to be fair, can you? I will give The Washington Post credit for this report. A Burger King has now been opened at the Baghdad International Airport. It's doing so well that it is ranked among the top 10 Burger King franchises in the world. Things are tough in Baghdad. READING ASSIGNMENTS AND INTEMPERATE THOUGHTS We will lead with this one. The title says it all. "The Terror Ahead. A nuclear attack? Be very afraid." This week's WorldNetDaily column: Democrats abandon America I seem to remember that a few weeks ago some Democratic presidential candidates, John Kerry among them, were calling for Rush Limbaugh to be fired from his ESPN commentary position because of his statements about Donovan McNabb. I wonder why they've never had anything to say about Al Sharpton marching up and down the street in front of a Jewish-owned clothing store yelling "bloodsucking Jews" and "Jew bastards"? Sometime next month CBS will run a made-for-television movie called "The Reagans." Drudge says the New York Times is reporting today that it won't be at all complimentary. This is no surprise to me. The chairman of CBS is Leslie Moonves. I used to watch Moonves fawning over the Clintons at the annual Renaissance Weekends on Hilton Head Island. It looks like the Democratic National Committee is going to throw a little party. Look at this DNC web page and see who's picture they feature on their party invite. They have 10 Democrats vying for the nomination, and all they have to promote is this guy? You know why, don't you? It's because he's still running the party. Good news today. The governor of Georgia wants to send personal data on drivers to a multi-state crime fighting computer database. Now the Georgia attorney general says it's illegal. Vehicle tag and databases OK. Personal info on the driver, not OK. Here are links to page one and page two of a Life Magazine article from January of 1946. The article talks about the mood in Europe after its liberation from the Nazis. Read this story and tell me it's not the very same stuff you're hearing from the media after the liberation of Iraq. There's nothing really new under the sun. David Limbaugh writes about the new sport of Bush hating. I said it yesterday on the air, but Dennis Prager says it better. The left is upset at the thought of American sovereignty. We should just sit back and be a nice little member state of the United Nations. Thomas Sowell says that a lynch mob ... a Democratic lynch mob ... is gathering to kill the nomination of Janice Rogers Brown to a federal appeals court. | ||
