FRIDAY 10/31/03BROADCASTING TODAY FROM TEXAS A&M For
the third year in a row my friends at News
Talk 1620 WTAW are hosting a visit to my alma mater, Texas A&M
University for a little fall football. Today we'll be broadcasting from
The Zone Club at Kyle Field, home of the Texas Aggies. WTAW has gathered an
audience for us, so look for me to do some showing off. Oh ... and program
notes? What program notes? It's not like I have all of my computers here and
actually got up at 4:00 this morning, you know. Keep checking back, though. I'll
be adding some thoughts and some links as the day progresses.
NO, $20 BILLION IN AID I heard this morning that the House has approved "an $87 billion aid plan for Iraq." It's not an $87 billion dollar aid plan. A little accuracy wouldn't hurt here. GET EMAIL FROM NEAL! We're all set and ready to start signing people up for the Boortz Blast, Neal's email newsletter launching soon. Each issue will include exclusive content so if you can't get enough of Neal, you've gotta sign up! DEMOCRATS ON SUICIDE WATCH Nancy Pelosi is beside herself. Yesterday's news that the economy is growing at a 19-year record pace was very depressing news for Democrats. Pelosi knows as well as anyone else that the last sector of the economy to recover after a recession is jobs, particularly manufacturing jobs. Pelosi also knows that mindless rhetoric works on Democratic voters. Yesterday she was screeching "but where are the jobs!? LETTER FROM A FARM KID NOW AT SAN DIEGO MARINE CORPS RECRUIT DEPOT: Dear Ma and Pa: A REALLY SCARY PUMPKIN! ![]() Just in case you missed it earlier this week, here's the scariest pumpkin we've seen. Instructions on making your own. A FEW READING ASSIGNMENTS Can you believe this? We may have 13 dead California residents because some state regulation prevented a aerial water drop on a fire as that fire was just beginning. California, the regulatory state. Terrorists are working in Iraq for results in Washington. They want us to loose our resolve. Are they going to succeed? Things are certainly looking better in DC for the terrorists today than a month ago. |
