WEDNESDAY 9/24/03

Here is the text of the President's speech on Tuesday before the United Nations General Assembly.

MILITARY MUSLIMS

Well, we now have the second Muslim member of our armed forces who has been arrested and charged with espionage.  Just last week an Army chaplain was charged after he was discovered with a list of detainees at Guantanamo along with a list of the facilities where detainees are being held.  Al Qaeda would love to know just who is being detained at Gitmo.  This information would help the terrorists to judge just which part of their operational plans were safe, and which might have been disclosed to America.

You will also remember that it was a Muslim soldier who rolled a grenade into his commander's tent in Kuwait just before the war to neutralize Saddam Hussein began.

Well .. here we go again.  This time it's a U.S. Air Force Airman.  His name is Ahmad I. al Halabi.  Yup, another Muslim.  al Halabi is now being held at the Vandenberg Air Force Base facing 32 criminal charges.  Eight of those criminal counts are based on espionage, including three counts of aiding the enemy.

This Muslim airman will be tried under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.  Conviction can result in the death penalty.  Good enough ... let's get on with it.  Make it a pay-per-view event and use the proceeds to fund an investigation aimed at finding more Muslim traitors in our military ranks.

YESTERDAY'S NUZE POLL RESULTS

The question was "Who would you rather have fight the war on terror?"  And the responses were:

Democrats   1%
Republicans  61%
Hell's Angels  28%
Mississippi National Guard  10%

Look who's at the bottom of the list!

WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS STATEMENT

Speaking to the United Nations yesterday President George Bush made the following statement:

The deadly combination of outlaw regimes and terror networks and weapons of mass murder is a peril that cannot be ignored or wished away.  If such a danger is allowed to fully materialize, all words, all protests will come too late.

Simple question:  Just what part of this statement can you disagree with?

Saddam Hussein led an outlaw regime in Iraq, a regime that ignored a string of 17 U.N. resolutions over a period of 11 years, a regime that used murderous chemical weapons to slaughter thousands of people it considered a threat ... including women and children.  It is also known .. the proof is in hand .. that Hussein had connections and working relationships with terrorist organizations, including Al Qaeda.  Just how long was the free world supposed to sit by and watch a murderous outlaw regime, a regime that not only had but had previously used chemical and biological weapons, develop its relationship with terrorist groups?

Over the past year or so ABC news has twice successfully brought containers of radioactive materials into the heart of two major cities, Los Angeles and New York, from overseas without detection.  These shipments originated in areas of known Islamic terrorist activity.  If you can sneak radioactive materials past our border security, just how difficult is it going to be to sneak in a container of chemical or biological elements that can kill tens of thousands?

The bilious Ted Kennedy wants you to believe that this is all a fraud made up in Texas by Bush.  Just which part of this scenario was made up in Texas?  The part about Saddam Hussein being a mass murderer?  Maybe it was that part about Saddam Hussein murdering his own people with chemical weapons.  Or maybe it was that nonsense about Saddam refusing to comply with U.N. resolutions.  He didn't really kick those inspectors out of Iraq, did he?  All the while we thought these things were actually happening in Iraq, now it turns out it was all a grand script being written in Texas.  And just why didn't we learn before now that this whole scenario was made up in Texas?  Because all of the foreign leaders who knew the truth were being bribed by George Bush with taxpayer money.

Now we know.

HERE'S THE KEY

The United States, with George Bush at the helm, has routed the Taliban from Afghanistan and sent one of the world's most prolific mass murderers into hiding.  The front lines for the war on terror have been removed from American soil and reestablished in the Middle East.  The terrorists are clearly on the defensive.  This, according to the American left and the Democratic Party, is a bad thing.

You can understand the feelings of the left if you understand their motives.  These people are anti-capitalist and anti-individual.  They dream still of a socialist world-wide utopia with the leftist government elite calling the shots for all.  The rampant individualism and capitalism flourishing in the United States is the principal roadblock on their road to a one-world socialist government. The United States now finds its people, its security, its economic system, its way of life and its very sovereignty under attack by Islamic terrorists and the enemies of capitalism  These attacks must be encouraged, and any attempts by America to fend off the terrorist attacks or to attack and neutralize its enemies must be opposed.  The left sees a possible destruction of American sovereignty, and with it the destruction of the American capitalist, individualist economic system.

HAVE FUN WITH YOUR BED-WETTING FRIENDS

I claim no authorship for this, it was sent to me by a friend.  Copy this to a new Word document and print massive quantities .. then distribute them to your leftist friends; you know, the ones who are telling you that President Bush is some sort of a international criminal.

'Bush's Illegal War' Questionnaire

Please answer as many of the following questions as you can, and as many with a straight face as possible. Please answer quickly as you already have all of the answers.

1. Since George W. Bush is evil, and thought by some to be far more dangerous than  Saddam Hussein, could you please list the instances you are aware of where George W. Bush has ordered the murder, torture and rape of American citizens, like yourself, who oppose his presidency.

2. Could you list any sites of mass graves of American citizens ordered to be killed by the Bush administration?

3. Further, could you please list the instances you are aware of when George W. Bush has ordered the murder of members of his own family.

4. Do you feel that Saddam Hussein possessed no weapons he was specifically forbidden to have by the UN; for example, the Scud missiles he fired into Kuwait during the first two weeks of the war?

5. How do you think Saddam was able to fire weapons that he didn't have?

6. Are inspectors inspectors, or are inspectors detectives?

7. How many more months would you have given Saddam Hussein to comply with the 17 UN resolutions, passed over 12 years?

8. If you owned an apartment building, for how many months would you allow a tenant to defy you to kick him out for not paying the rent he owes?

9. If the UN, and the previous administration, were convinced Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, and used that as a basis for their actions against Iraq, how do those reasons evaporate when applied by the Bush administration?

10. If the Bush administration, led by the evil GWB, lied about weapons of mass destruction in order to go to war, why haven't we found any WMD secretly planted by the Bush administration?

11. If you feel it would be too difficult to plant WMD in Iraq, because there are too many people watching, such that no one can do anything sneaky in Iraq, then why can't we find Saddam?

12. Do you disagree with the statement..."The weapons of mass destruction used in the 9/11 attacks were box-cutters"?

13. Do you think finding an airplane fuselage in a terrorist training camp in northern Iraq means terrorists were practicing hijackings? If not, for what purpose do you think they were using the airplane?

14. Knowing what little you may know about spy satellites, what do you think Iraq was hiding using the tunnel-digging equipment they bought from the French some 5 years ago?

15. Why do you think Iraq had a 'Higher Committee for Monitoring the Inspection Teams' headed by Hussein's Vice-President, and son, Qusay?

16. The fact that Iraq trained experts to foil UN weapons inspectors is documented not just by U.S. intelligence organizations, but by those of many other countries. Why do you think Iraq needed to use these tactics, if George W. Bush is lying?

17. In 1995, Iraq admitted it had biological weapons. They declared they had, for example, 8500 liters of anthrax. Where did they all go? If Iraq destroyed them, why would there be any need for more UN resolutions after that?

18. When do you think Iraq abandoned their existing Weapons of Mass Destruction program? What do you think was their motivation for abandoning it- the 17th time the UN said 'pretty please', or the fact that it was spending too much money that could used for social programs to improve the lives of Iraqi citizens?

19. Do you think the bio-weapons lab vehicles found in Iraq were being used as lunch wagons, or as mobile auto detail trucks?

20. If a terrorist organization attacked America tomorrow by spraying anthrax over a large city, would you blame George W. Bush for not doing enough?

21. Would Hillary?

22. How many minutes after the attack do you think it would take for Hillary to appear on CNN?

23. If an illegal U.S. president declares an illegal war, wouldn't the two cancel each other out?

Bonus Question: Do you think O.J. killed Ron and Nicole, or was he the victim of a massive conspiracy to plant evidence by many separate divisions of the LAPD?

READING ASSIGNMENTS

You have to love a column that begins: "The custom among many has long been to ignore, where feasible, the mental belchings of the senior senator from Massachusetts....."  You can read the rest of the column here.

I know that many of you have been sitting on the edge of your seats waiting for Arnold Schwarzenegger to come out with his economic policies for California.  Well, wait no longer.  Arnold has written a piece for The Wall Street Journal spelling it out.  He wants to "terminate taxes."

The Chairman of the Republican National Committee is accusing the Democratic candidates of engaging in "hate speech."  Hey, we don't have to resort to using the "hate speech" ploy, that's a leftist tactic. Just say that the Democrats have given the political fortunes of the Democratic Party ahead of the security concerns of the United States.

So Teddy Kennedy is a champion of education?  Why, then, does he want to keep poor kids trapped in bad schools?  Come on, folks.  Tell me why Ted Kennedy gives welfare a higher priority than the education of our children?

If you developed a list of "must read" books for teenagers it would include Aldous Huxley's Brave New World and Robert Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land.  Both of these books will instill the value of individualism in a young mind.  We go now to Mercedes, Texas where Julie Wilde, a government school parent, is objecting the presence of these two books on a school reading list because they may lead to "inappropriate sexual arousal of young teens."  What a moron.

Just how much money do you think trial lawyers raked in from lawsuits in the United States last year?  Make a guess ... then click here to get the answer.

We now have a law in California that bans spam .. and allows you to file a lawsuit against anyone who sends you spam.  More money for trial lawyers?

Michelle Malkin is hot.  She writes that: "One of the most popular movies currently playing at the box office, "Jeepers Creepers 2," is a teen horror flick directed by a stomach-turning registered sex offender who was convicted of molesting a 12-year-old-boy he targeted, groomed, seduced, and filmed in pornographic home videos."  Ahhhh ... but it's just Hollywood, so who cares.  It's not like this child molester was a Republican or conservative.

John Fund says that the Indian tribes who run California casinos have a higher goal.  They want to run the entire state of California.

Barbra Streisand says that she is bored with her own songs.  She couldn't possibly be as bored with her own songs as we are with her.  Wait a minute!  What the hell is she still doing around here anyway?  Wasn't she supposed to leave the country?

Kathleen Parker writes about "Hillary's Curse."  No matter what she does in her life, no matter what she accomplishes, it will always be about Bill.

Wow ... now here's a good point.  Jonah Goldberg asks this question of Democratic activists:  "(Do you) remember Kosovo? That's the place where American troops are still holed up, four years later, risking their lives for the betterment of another people. If you think that's good - like I do - you might want to explain why it's not good for us to be in Iraq for even one year."  And who led the military effort in Kosovo?  None other than the current hero of the Democratic Party, Wesley Clark.

Walter Williams wonders just how much Americans value the concept of freedom of association.

From Thomas Sowell:  "Everyone knows that black students in general do not perform as well in school as white students, much less Asian American students. But few realize how painfully large the gap is. Even fewer know that there are particular black schools, even in low-income neighborhoods, where students perform above the national average."
