ARE
WE GOING TO LET THIS MOQTADA AL SADR JERK GET AWAY WITH IT?
In the end, Moqtada al-Sadr turns out to be a coward. All of that
nonsense about "fighting until my last drop of blood is spilled" went
away as soon as this Islamic goon saw guns at the gates. Now al-Sadr is
talking truce, talking cease fire; and the good guys are going to fall for it. He's promising to disarm his militia, is he? He's promising to remove his
militia from that holy mosque in Najaf? And we're going to believe
him? The Iraqis are calling the shots on this one, and in the final analysis it
will be the Iraqis who will suffer the consequences of giving al-Sadr another
chance to save his skin. This man should have taken a bullet in the head
months ago, but he keeps pulling the same stunt time after time. Al Sadr's game plan is simple. - Whip some of your Islamic buddies in to a frenzy and give them guns.
- Send your goons out to kill Americans and infidels
- Make bold statements about fighting to the last drop of blood
- Watch for infidels with guns to actually show up at your front door.
- When the infidels with guns show up start screaming for a cease fire.
- Bask in the increased support you have received from your Islamic goon
friends.
- When the infidels leave gather your new Islamic buds around and whip them
into a frenzy.
- Give them guns.
- Go to step 2.
This Islamic terrorist is directly responsible for the deaths of
Americans. A well-placed sniper should take care of matters. COME
ON NOW ... YOU REALLY SUPPORT THIS GUY?
My sympathies to my liberal Democratic Kerry-voting listeners. You must
be scratching your heads this morning over some of The Poodle's latest
blatherings. A few days ago President Bush announced a major redeployment of American
troops overseas. Bush said that troops would be withdrawn from both Europe and
South Korea. Kerry, of course, being the expert that he is on defense
matters and fighting in actual wars and carrying actual guns and all that, had
to oppose the President's plans. So The Poodle steps in
front of a VFW convention yesterday and delivers this line: "Why are we withdrawing (he actually
said 'withdrawring') unilaterally 12,000 troops from the Korean peninsula
at the very time that we are negotiating with North Korea, a country that
really has nuclear weapons. This is clearly the wrong signal to send at
the wrong time." John Kerry, August 18, 2004
Well .. that would have been just fine, if it hadn't been for pesky things
such as memories. Just 17 days earlier Kerry had
something completely different to say about troop redeployment: "I will have significant, enormous reductions in
the level of troops ...In the Korean peninsula perhaps, in Europe
perhaps." John Kerry, August 1, 2004
Man ... don't you just hate it when that happens? And how many times did Kerry remind the VFW convention of his service in
Vietnam? Sorry, we lost count. MEDIA
STILL SPINNING ABU GHRAIB
Well how about this...it's our old friend Abu Ghraib back in the headlines, and
just in time for the fall presidential election. A new Army report
exonerates high-ranking Pentagon officials and senior U.S. military commanders
from any knowledge or complicity in the Abu Ghraib prison "abuse"
scandal. This must come as a great disappointment to Al Gore, who is
certain that George Bush was directly responsible. So will the media be
reporting all of the good news?
Of course not. The headlines today read that additional military personnel
are implicated in the Abu Ghraib prison scandal. Nothing is said about the
clearing of the other high-ranking military personnel, whose names were dragged
through the mud awhile back. It seems the Army report found improper
conduct amongst some of the military interrogators at the prison, and so now
that negative angle is the top story.
The report could be made public as early as tomorrow. Brace yourself for
another Abu Ghraib-a-thon. Again, folks, it's the template. The story is
perceived as hurting Bush ... therefore it is going to get hammered yet again
... all except for that part which says that high-ranking military personnel
weren't involved.
KERRY
ATTACKS MOVEON.ORG AD
Yet another flip-flop on the part of the Poodle. This time it involves the
lie-filled Moveon.org ad that bashes President Bush over his supposedly
"AWOL" service from the Texas Air National Guard. The ad is a
lie, the charges made in the ad are lies, and anyone not educated in a
government school and who hasn't slept with Barbra Streisand knows it. The
real motivation behind the ad is the left's retaliation for the Swift Boat
Veterans for Truth.
So The Souffle has condemned the Moveon.org ad, even as Democrats linked to his
campaign were pushing the same allegations. The Bush campaign accused
Kerry of hypocrisy, and rightly so. Consider this: It was Terry McAuliffe
that trotted out the "AWOL from the Texas Air National Guard"
comment. Are we supposed to believe that the Democratic nominee for
president is contradicting his own national party chairman? I think not.
It's interesting to watch the left bash George Bush over his military service,
while in 1992 the same people told us that it didn't matter when it came to Bill
Clinton. So which is it? The answer is the positions change with the
political winds. Just who are the people that are out there bashing
President Bush and repeating the Moveon.org TV ad's nonsense charges? None
other than Kerry sycophant Weasley Clark, who accused Bush of using his family's
influence to get out of going to Vietnam. So while his boss condemns the
ad, his minions fan out into the media to repeat the lies contained in it.
Are they getting desperate? Do the Swift Boat veterans really scare them
that much?
MILITARY
RECORDS SEEM TO BACK POODLE
Finally, we seem to have a little fact-checking by the media going on with
regard to The Poodle's military service in Vietnam. At issue is whether or
not The Poodle came under any enemy fire during a mission on March 13,
1969. John Kerry won a Bronze Star for his actions that day. One of
the Swift Vets, Larry Thurlow, who commanded another swift boat alongside The
Poodle, has said that Kerry did not come under any fire, and that the Bronze
Star was another one of Kerry's sham medals.
The Washington Post finally decided to check out some of the Swiftee's claims
about Kerry, and they ordered up portions of Thurlow's military records under
The Freedom of Information act. Those records indicate that yes, all of
the swift boats came under fire that day and indeed, Thurlow himself won a
Bronze Star. Fine. Recollections fade, people are frequently wrong
about what they remember, and it looks like Kerry is right on this one. But
wait! Thurlow was interviewed last night and steadfastly maintains that
there was no enemy fire. How does he explain the entry in his military
records? Only by saying that he is not the author of the write-up about
that particular action, and that the person who did write it up may have relied
upon Kerry's version. Do we have a standoff here?
Here's the larger question. The media will now use this single instance of
contradicting something the Swift Boat Vets said to discredit the entire
television ad, the book and everything else. Is the media now going to
investigate all of the other claims in the book, and report which ones are
right? Of course not. They're only going to report what benefits the
campaign of John Kerry, and ignore the rest.
It's all part of the template...stories that are bad for Bush are front-page
news.
READING ASSIGNMENTS Iowa Senator (Democrat, of course) Tom Harkin calls Dick Cheney a coward for
not serving in Vietnam. Harkin
didn't service in Vietnam either .. but he said he did. That gives him
a good moral platform from which to judge Cheney. Media Matters is a website that is keeping a close watch on everything I
say. This is a good thing. I can trace no less than three new radio
affiliates from the publicity I'm getting from Media Matters. Here's
their latest. Don't do anything to discourage them though.
They're helping me. I'll be in New York for the Republican convention. Ted
Rall says that I'm not going to have a very good time there. You do
remember Ted Rall, don't you? He's the one who wrote that our troops
deserved to die in Iraq. This is the face of the left. You want to punish some people for their actions in the hurricane ravaged
areas of Florida? Take
these guys and lock them up for a decade or so. Now it looks like one of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth has a
bit of a credibility problem. Larry Thurlow, however, is sticking with
his story. Y'all call me when you sort this thing out. The media loves to suck up to The Poodle...and there are plenty of
examples. Ann
Coulter takes a look at the media bias, and also the Kerry's inconsistent
recollections of his Vietnam service.
Here's the second excerpt from 'Unfit for Command,' courtesy of The
Washington Times. This is a good one...it talks about The Poodle making
home movies of himself to take back home and use when he ran for office.
Here's a preview of things to come for The Poodle, should he be elected
president: that insane nutjob Helen Thomas is now bashing him too.
The Libertarian party will
field a record number of candidates this year....in Oregon. Hey, you
gotta start somewhere.
Bad news for the Democrats: a
poll released yesterday says voters are concerned about national security.
Voters trust George W. Bush to keep them safe, not The Poodle.
The Inspector General is
recommending that a U.S. General be punished for calling terrorists
"Satan." Naturally, the terrorists at the Council on
American Islamic Relations are pleased with the ruling.
Laura
Bush, when asked whether the press was fair and impartial in its coverage of
her husband, laughed heartily. Now there's a first lady that gets it.
Black Americans would do better to listen to Alan Keyes than other supposed
"civil rights leaders." Thomas
Sowell explains why Republicans have always done so poorly with black folks,
and how they can turn it around.
John Edwards is right: there are two Americas. The Bush-haters, and the
rest of us...Larry
Elder explains the real reasons why those on the left hate the president so
much.
The State of Florida seems intent on robbing its children of a decent future by
banishing them to government schools forever. Cal
Thomas explains.
Why won't New Jersey Governor James McGreevey leave office now?
This op-ed piece attempts to explain why. You'd
better rush
right on over to this site to pick up a pimp or ho Halloween costume for
your child before they run out. Whatever happened to dressing up as a fireman, a
ballerina or a monster?
Don't forget, dogs
need spiffy duds too. If John Gotti was your grandfather do
you think you'd sass him? [QuickTime Movie] First there was the
Rejection Hotline. Now there's Papernapkin.net. Minutes before dying, a Belgian teenager identified
her stepmother as her killer in a text message sent to her father. |
