HAVE DEMOCRATS WEAKENED OUR POSITION?

You knew the time would come when Saddam's Weapons of Mass Destruction would be found, and the Democrats and their liberal pals in the media would have to admit George W. Bush and Tony Blair were justified in invading Iraq and overthrowing Saddam Hussein.  Well, set the table and get the crow ready, because according to intelligence sources cited by an exiled opposition party, Syria is hiding Iraq's WMD in 3 locations. They say they were smuggled in wooden crates and are being hidden by a relative of Syrian President Bashar Assad.  

But wait!  America's enemies abroad and the Democratic Party at home have been dedicating so much time to slamming Bush for his actions in Iraq .. is the resolve there to do anything at all even if we do find out that Assad's cronies are hiding Saddam's weapons?  Our Euro-weenie "friends" want to see America weakened.  They have these visions of the European Union being the dominant political and economic world power.  This only happens if America is weakened.  It if takes Islamic Jihadists to do the deed, no problem.  And our Democrats?  They have placed their hatred of George Bush and their desire for a return to power ahead of the security interests of their country.  They'll gladly suffer the short-term losses to terrorism if it means a return to power inside the Beltway. 

That's what this election is about .. our security.  Budget deficits, spending, Social Security reform, evil corporations, welfare brood mares ... important?  Yes.  But not nearly as important as an ultimate victory over Islamic terrorism and the destruction of those who aid, harbor, and support the terrorists.  If our intelligence forces confirm that Syria is hiding some of Saddam's weapons then the reaction should be swift, certain and devastating.  If Bashar Assad gets the idea that his cover has been blown there is the chance that he will move quickly to divest himself of these weapons ... and he could chose to do so by handing them over to groups or individuals who are anxious to see them used against the infidels.

BUSH'S PLAN TO LEGALIZE ILLEGALS

Tomorrow President Bush is going to propose what amounts to yet another amnesty for criminals in this country.  The criminals are illegal aliens.  They broke our laws to get here, and they break our laws working and staying here.  Bush is also going to allow illegals who provided false Social Security numbers to employers to collect any benefits they may have coming.

It's political.  Forget this "matching willing workers with willing employers" nonsense.  It's political.  In some areas of the country you can't even suggest that illegal aliens be arrested and returned, or denied government benefits, without creating howls of outrage and strong reprisals.  It seems that every time we approach an election politicians start talking about "adjusting" the status of these illegals.  It's all about votes.

And speaking of votes, my friends.  Did you know that there are many areas in this country where non-citizens can vote?  It all started with local school board elections.  Apologists for the non-citizens will argue "they're sending their children to our public schools, they should have a right to vote in school board elections."  Next will be "well, they're working here and paying taxes, so they should have a right to vote in local elections."  The final move will be "hey, they're paying income taxes.  They're contributing to our economy.  They should have a right to vote in federal elections."

We're moving to a point where American citizenship is going to mean nothing.  You want to come here to work?  Fine!  If you decide you don't want to follow our laws, rules and procedures for immigration ... no problem!  Just sneak in, behave yourself until the next presidential election, and we'll arrange for some variety of amnesty for you.  Mind your Ps and Qs for a while longer and you'll be voting!

Mexican President Vicente Fox loves the idea.  Illegal immigration to the United States is one of Mexico's largest industries.  Mexican nationals working illegally in the US send billions of dollars back to relatives in Mexico.  These billions fuel a huge part of the Mexican economy.  All of these Mexican nationals fleeing to the United States also relieves Fox and his government of the responsibility of reforming their own economy so as to provide the needed jobs at home. 

AND DIDN'T I TELL YOU THAT THIS WAS THEIR ULTIMATE GOAL?

I've been telling for years now that the ultimate goal of the Democratic Party is to remove the majority of Americans from any obligation to pay for their share of the federal government.  In other words, to wipe the majority of Americans off the tax rolls ... no federal income tax, no way, no how.  Not only would these Americans completely avoid paying any federal income taxes, but they would also get checks from the federal government as well ... checks funded by the minority of Americans who do pay taxes.

The goal?  Come on, now.  It's so simple.  Once you have a majority of Americans not paying any taxes, then you have a majority of Americans who don't really care that much about how high taxes get!  After all, it's not like they're having to pay them.

Now Weasely Clark has come out with his grand tax plan.  If (huge if) Weasely actually becomes president he will, if the congress goes along, bring about a law that would make all families of four  who make under $50,000 completely exempt from all federal income taxes.  There will be additional tax breaks for families of four making less than $100,000.  And what of the high income earners?  What about the businessmen and women who provide employment for the vast majority of Americans?  What about the high-achievers who truly power our economy?  Well ... Clark wants their taxes to go up.

Open your eyes, folks.  This is pure, unadulterated class warfare ... and brilliant political strategy.  Think about it.  You're in an election.  Over one-half of the voters don't pay any federal income taxes.  Less than one-half do.  All you have to do is tell those folks out there who don't pay taxes that if the other guy wins he is going to start making them pay.  Easy enough.  People love a free ride ... and they'll go to the polls to protect that privilege.  Democratic politicians have been working toward this state of political nirvana for decades.  Strangely enough, Republicans, on occasion, have been eager to help them. 

We were warned over 100 years ago that democracy will fail once the electorate realizes that they can vote themselves largess out of the public treasury.  We're there.

One more thing.  Weasely Clark says he is going to cover the tab for removing all these people from the tax rolls by closing corporate tax loopholes.  This is Clark telling you that he thinks you're stupid.   Clark knows that corporations don't pay taxes.  He knows that corporations collect taxes from customers, employees and shareholders and pass them off to the federal government.  When Clark says that he is going to close corporate tax loopholes he is really saying that he is going to raise taxes on corporate employees, consumers and shareholders.  A tax is a tax whether it is paid directly to the IRS or handed to a corporation or business to be passed on to the IRS.  If the celebrity and sports obsessed American people could simply learn this one simple economics lesson politicians like Clark would lose a powerful rhetorical weapon and would be forced to deal more honestly with voters.

Here is a great question from yesterdays "Best of the Web" by James Taranto:  "Who would Osama bin Laden rather have in the White House, George W. Bush or Howard Dean?"  Well ... that pretty much wraps things up, don't you think?

FOX OPENING UP A LEAD

This, of course, is going to be a banner year for cable news channels.  Believe it or not, there are a significant number of people who realize that what happens in electoral politics this year can very likely change their lives and will most certainly change the lives of their children and grandchildren.  The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that not only does Fox News Channel lead CNN in the number of viewers, Fox is adding listeners faster.

I can give you a few examples as to why.

Last night I saw Heather Nauert interviewing Weasely Clark about his new tax plan (discussed above).  Nauert pointed out that under Clark's tax plan over 50% of Americans will be getting their federal government for free.  Can you imagine a CNN reporter asking that question?  Fox reporters repeatedly ask the rough questions ... CNN?  Not.

Oh .. I said I could give you a few examples.  Here's your second.  Aaron Brown.  Compare Aaron Brown to Brit Hume.  Contest over.

READING ASSIGNMENTS

North Korea has offered what it is calling "one more bold concession"  aimed at trying to end the standoff with its nuclear weapons programs. But, there are conditions. The U.S must take North Korea off its terrorism list, lift all sanctions, and supply oil, power and other resources. How about if the United States offers a better deal in return: dismantle your nuclear weapons program immediately, or we do it for you. Hopefully the Bush administration will not fall for Kim Jong Mentally Ill's latest proposal.  Remember when North Korea promised the Clinton Administration they wouldn't develop nuclear weapons and they did it anyway?

This person proves once again, that the lottery is truly a tax on the stupid.  A Cleveland woman claims that she purchased the $162 Million winning lottery ticket in the multi-state Mega Millions lottery jackpot, but that she lost the ticket before the drawing.  She said that she is praying that someone will come forward with the ticket and get a reward. According to police, whoever has the ticket has the right to claim the winning jackpot. Sorry lady, but if I find a $162 million dollar winning lottery ticket, I'm cashing it in and keeping the whole thing, finders keepers.  What a moron.

The firestorm continues over Moveon.org's potential television ads posted on their website comparing George W. Bush to Adolph Hitler. If they want to compare Adolf Hitler to someone else who slaughtered people, how about Saddam Hussein? What a bunch of desperate liberals...no doubt relying on their history lessons from government-run schools.

Here's a scary thought: the 9 Democrats running for President are saying what they would do during their first days in office. The most frightening; Carol Moseley Braun says she would "pray for guidance and then I would begin to reform health care." Dick Gephardt says he would "repeal the failed Bush tax cuts" that are currently driving the economic recovery. What a cheerful bunch....maybe Hillary should run. 

There should be a special form of punishment for any individual or group that pursues a personal agenda under the false banner of homeland security.  This time it's farmers in California.

Oh boy.  The bad boy in me just makes me post this link.  I can hear the outraged holy howls right now.  I'll probably lose about one-half of my precious affiliates over this.  Let's see ... the title of this story is something like "Kids! Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savoir and get a free PlayStation2!"  The Farkers made me do this.

Brendan Miniter wonders if Howard Dean can lie his way into the White House.  Good question.

So after 14 1/2 years, Pete Rose is admitting he bet on baseball. He spends 14 years lying.  Then he comes forward to tell the truth and thinks that everything should be OK.  Typical jock mentality.  Doesn't seem like such a horrible act anymore, does it? In that time span, we've had an NFL star on trial for murdering two people and a number of athletes tried for rape. Not to mention the apparent widespread use of steroids in baseball. Makes 'ole Petey's baseball bets look like a bike ride.
