SEE YOU IN A FEW WEEKS

I hope you folks aren't tooooo mad, but for the second time in the last 12 years I'm actually going to take a two-week vacation. Radio people don't like taking long vacations because we're basically paranoid. We're afraid that you'll forget we exist and when we come back our listeners will all be gone to find other forms of harassment/entertainment. I fit in that category, but there are places I want to go and things I want to see ... and I just can't get it done in one week. Life's too short. So ... after the show today I'm off. Laura, Bryan and Ken will be messin' round with the website while I'm gone, so keep checking back. We'll see you on the radio.

HILLARY VP TALK HEATING UP AGAIN

There is speculation again that The Poodle might pick The Hildabeast as his running mate. Right now, the smart money is on John Edwards, but the smart money is almost always wrong. So who will it be? And what is the thought process here?

Think about Edwards. He must be wondering what would happen if he ran as the veep candidate, and Kerry lost! Edwards would then be forever tied to a losing presidential campaign. He has his own cachet to build on ... why tie his star to John Kerry?

Drudge has a piece quoting a "top D.C. insider" as saying Clinton will definitely be chosen Tuesday. This just might happen, for a variety of reasons. For one, Hillary may be worried Kerry has a chance of winning, and she doesn't want that at all. A recent story says that Kerry has raised $175 million so far, breaking Bush's old record from the 2000 campaign. The polls show a dead heat. The Hildabeast is a power-hungry woman that will not be denied, and if she sees someone else taking that power, it will be time for her to step in.

Despite what she has said in the media, a Kerry presidency would be a complete disaster for her presidential ambitions. As Dick Morris was the first to point out, if Kerry wins, The Souffle will run for re-election, then The Poodle's VP choice will run for president, which would shut out the Hildabeast for quite a long time.

If Hillary wants it, Kerry has no choice but to give it to her. The Clintons control the Democratic party, and we all know what happens to anyone who crosses them. Now, we all know what is going to happen if Hillary is chosen as the VP....the media will fall all over themselves for weeks singing the praises of Senators Kerry and Clinton. It will be a complete non-stop love-fest that will be totally nauseating.

Imagine if Kerry does pick her, and The Souffle does win, Hillary Clinton will be a heartbeat away from the presidency. That's pure evil knocking at the door ..... a frightening prospect, but we'll just have to wait and see.

POOR SADDAM

Yesterday, the custody of Saddam Hussein was transferred to the Iraqi people. Saddam Hussein is no longer a prisoner of war, but rather a criminal in the Iraqi justice system. It's now time for the butcher to get his just deserts. Time for the murderous dictator to pay the piper.

Today, along with 11 other members of his regime (including Tariq Aziz and Chemical Ali,) Saddam made his perp walk and was arraigned by an Iraqi judge. It wasn't broadcast live, but video and photographs will be released later in the day. This is nothing less than one of the most spectacular displays of justice being done in our time. Imagine if there had been a public trial of Adolf Hitler? This is along those lines. The new Iraqi government has said they will televise the trial for all to see. They're calling it "the trial of the century," minus Johnnie Cochran. There's still time, though.

Watching the coverage this morning you almost got the idea that the media was doing its best to paint a sympathetic portrait of the murderous dictator. Recently, whenever you see a picture of Saddam in the news, they show the picture of him right after he was taken prisoner...clean shaven and with a sad look on his face. Poor Saddam...he brought so much good to the Iraqi people...how dare those mean, evil Americans capture him and hold him accountable for his actions? He's getting a fair trial - something he denied his victims for decades.

Just as always, the left and the media love brutal dictators. They do everything they can to gloss over the atrocities, and glamorize their rule. Saddam's atrocities including mass graves, real torture, rape rooms and weapons of mass destruction are all ignored.

At least he's finally getting his....no matter how much the media and the left don't like it.

AL-QAEDA LOOKING FOR FEMALE SOLDIER

The United States has increased the reward on Islamic terrorist and Al-Qaeda thug Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's head to $25 million. This is the Al-Qaeda terrorist that is not listening to Democrats who say he isn't in Iraq, and the same murderer who chopped off Nick Berg's head awhile ago.

Anyway, these lunatics have now decided that for their next bargaining chip, they'll take a female soldier hostage. The Defense Department is aware of it, and is stepping up security around the 11,000 female troops in Iraq. A source says they might be planning payback for the pictures of women humiliating prisoners at Abu Ghraib. Yet another reason those losers may have cost lives.

So what will happen if they capture a woman? You know exactly what will happen. They will parade her on TV, threaten to rape her -- probably after the fact -- and they will threaten to behead her if the United States or whatever country she happens to be from doesn't release prisoners or leave Iraq. Immediately, every news organization on earth will broadcast their demands. Once that happens, Al-Qaeda's mission is accomplished. Al-Qaeda will appear as strong and invincible, while we will appear weak and vulnerable. American respect for the lives of innocents will mediate our response. To the Arab world this will appear as weakness. That weakness will encourage further action. Sure, they know their demands will not be met. That's not their goal. Their goal is the notoriety that comes from the media coverage, and the message that coverage will send to the world of their strength. They also would hope that the brutal death of a female soldier would so outrage Americans that Bush's reelection chances would diminish even further. As all of this drama unfolds, never forget who Osama bin Laden would vote for on November 2nd. Hint: He doesn't wear cowboy boots.

Al-Qaeda is playing a game, and the media is going along with it. Don't think for a second that these bastards aren't taking comfort and getting encouragement from the public statements of liberals and from Michael Moore's leftist propaganda. They know that a large portion of the American public are too weak to fight, and will want to cut and run if a female soldier is kidnapped.

READING ASSIGNMENTS

The Democrats want Saddam back, and all you have to do is listen to the liberal media or The Souffle's campaign for confirmation.  Ann Coulter takes on the left.

The basic question facing voters in 2004 is whether they want a wartime or a peacetime president.  Put another way, do people want to vote for a fighter or an appeaser?  Dick Morris explains.

Are you one of those liberals that think President Bush is a liar?  Here is a fascinating piece from (gasp) the New York Times by Nicholas Kristof that looks at whether or not Bush is a liar, and why people think that.

The Poodle isn't using his photo ops to highlight his message to the best of his advantage, says Richard Wolffe.

Here is a not-so-suttle review of Michael Moore's  'Fahrenheit 911' that says it is a "despicable film."  Mark Davis tells us why.

Tom Brokaw is at it again....this time "correcting" the Prime Minister of Iraq by repeating the lie that there was no link between Saddam and Al-Qaeda.

When you see images of poverty in third world nations, have you ever wondered why we don't have that in the United States?  Thomas Sowell has, and explains exactly why.

Reflecting their liberal media indoctrination, a poll shows that a majority of Americans think the invasion of Iraq was a mistake.  Iraqis, on the other hand, are very optimistic about their future.  Larry Elder tells us why.

Professor Mike Adams continues with part three of his series, The Strange Case of Dr. Sell.

The left is starting the urban legend that Al-Qaeda terrorist Zarqawi was in Iraq before the war, and the Bush administration knew it, but avoided striking to build a case for war.  It's an urban legend, says Robert Novak.  Interestingly, that would be an admission by Democrats that there was a link between Saddam and Al-Qaeda.

The media likes to talk about the conservative Supreme Court that handed the presidency to George Bush, but where are they now?  Ben Shapiro writes that the high court has taken many liberal positions recently.

The Fox News Channel recently ran an on-air promo about a story on internet porn...except somebody forgot to do something. (Possibly not safe for work)
