| Wednesday, July 7, 2004 The Nuze is going to be a little different until Neal gets back. I don't do political commentary, or at least not any that you want to hear. I do excel at finding weird stuff, so that's what you'll get. If you're aching to read about politics, try some of Neal's regular haunts: worldnetdaily.com, townhall.com, newsmax.com, etc. More below in Nealz Links for Nuze. --webwench GUEST HOST - JAY SEVERIN Jay Severin, libertarian talk show host out of Boston, hosts Neal's show today. You might also know him from his work on MSNBC, the BBC and other major TV news outlets. Man files his own death certificate to avoid a drunk driving charge. He was caught when his fingerprints were run through a national database after he was arrested for another crime. If you have stupid boss or co-worker stories, or just like to read them, check out iworkwithfools.com. Would you pay 490.00 for a dirt clod? Someone did. Now the tricky part is actually collecting payment.
Do you sometimes wonder if there's something funny in the water in Washington D.C.? The U.S. House of Representatives now fancies itself a body of accountants. They're considering a bill that "decrees that a coveted form of corporate pay -- stock options -- be counted as an expense when these go to the chief executive and the other four highest-paid officers in a company, but be disregarded as an expense when they are issued to other employees in the company. Second, the bill says that when a company is calculating the expense of the options issued to the mighty five, it shall assume that stock prices never fluctuate." | ||
