GUEST COLIN POWELL

Today at 9am Eastern Colin Powell will be a guest on the Neal Boortz Show. If you miss it, we'll include a link to the audio in this week's newsletter. If you don't get the Boortz Blast, subscribe here.

BUSH LIED

During Sad Max Cleland's Monday telephone conference call diatribe with the press he cited four lies allegedly uttered by President Bush. Cleland said that Bush lied about:

  1. Saddam's weapons of mass destruction.
  2. Iraq's attempts to buy uranium
  3. Iraq's ties to Al Qaeda
  4. Saddam's nuclear weapons program

Sorry, Max.  Every single one of the statements that Bush made on these matters has been vindicated and substantiated.   If you're going to be Kerry's yapping lap dog you're going to have to do much better than this.

IGNORE THIS

Many of you have become quite upset with me for my statements that I believe The Poodle will win the presidential election in November.  Look ... I'm not saying that I want him to win.  I'm just saying that I think he will win!   Will it be a disaster for the America of our founding fathers?  Absolutely!  Will it be a bonanza for those who seek more government and a weaker America on the international scene?  You bet!

Right at the end of the show yesterday I went on somewhat of a rant in response to a caller's comments.  I said that at least 30% .. and quite probably over 40% of the voters who go to the polls in November will cast their ballots with one thought in mind.  They will look at the names on the ballot and cast their vote for the candidate whom they believe will do the most to take money away from other people and either spend it on them or find a way to put it in their pocket.  The name that fits that bill is John Kerry.  Listen to Kerry on the campaign trail.  Audit his website.  If he enacts every government spending program he has promised the voters the tab will more than double the federal budget.  It's all about buying the votes ... and the votes are surely there to be bought.

Tell me, when was the last time you met someone who felt that his life was his responsibility, not the government's?  Bring me the man or woman who feels that the only role of government is to stand firm against those who would interfere with their pursuit of happiness ... but not to fund that dream with money taken from others.

Consider, please, the fact that for the fourth consecutive month the Kerry campaign has raised more money in its various fundraising efforts than has George Bush.  The Kerry figure for June was three times more than the amount raised by George Bush.  That should tell you something, my friends, and that something is that the Democrats have the money they need to take back the White House.  I'm just the messenger.  Spare me.

GET READY FOR THE RETURN OF CYNTHIA MCKINNEY

The Islamic world .. and this includes those who don't exactly wish us well .. is celebrating today.  Radical Islamic causes have now achieved a meaningful election victory in the United States. It looks almost certain that Cynthia McKinney will be returning to the United States Congress representing Georgia's 4th District.  Yesterday McKinney took more than 50% of the votes in a Democratic primary election.  Her Republican challenger in the November election stands little chance of an upset.

You do remember Cynthia, don't you? She is the one who said that Bush knew about 9/11 before it happened.  When a Saudi prince's offer of $10 million for the victims of 9/11 was turned down because of the Saudi's anti-American remarks, it was Cynthia who said "Hey, give the money to me!"  It was Cynthia McKinney who, during her previous stint in Congress,  spent far more time representing the interests of various African despots before the federal government than she did her own constituents.

Cynthia's last campaign received most of its funding from Arab and Islamic interests.  Last night one of the first messages of congratulations came from Abed Hammoud of the Arab-American Political Action Committee.  The Islamic Jihadists are about to celebrate the return of their friend.

In the New York Post Erick Stakelbeck wrote "McKinney has long associated with militant Islamic groups whose members have openly supported terrorism."  Daniel Pipes, the director of the Middle East Forum,  took a brief look at McKinney's campaign finance disclosures .. here's a partial list of Cynthia's campaign contributors:

Hani Y. Awadallah - president, Arab American Civic Organization, New Jersey.

Jesse Aweida - co-founder, American Task Force on Palestine.

Belal Dalati - a vice president of Arab-American Broadcasting Co. (Orange County Register, February 19, 2002) associated with the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Hasan Elkhatib -member, board of directors, American Islamic Educational Foundation (MetroWest Jewish News, October 10, 1996)

Yaser Elmenshawy - chairman, Islamic Council of New Jersey.

Rafeeq Jaber - president, Islamic Association for Palestine, a Hamas offshoot.

Oussama Jammal - president, Bridgeview Mosque.

Samer Khalaf - chairman, American-Arab Anti Discrimination Committee's Political Outreach Committee in New Jersey.

Faroque Khan - president, Islamic Center of Long Island, also connected to the American Muslim Alliance and Islamic Society of North America.

Mahmoud A Nimer - member, board of directors, Islamic Academy of Florida, Tampa (an Islamic school established by Sami al-Arian; al-Arian's indictment indicates the school was used as a base of support for the Palestinian Islamic Jihad).

Ayman Osman - member, board of directors, Islamic Academy of Florida, Tampa; employer of Hatem Fariz, arrested on terrorism charges and charged with being a member of Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

Talat Othman - former chairman of the Islamic Free Market Institute; secretary/treasurer of the American Task Force on Palestine.

Khalid Qazi - former president, American Muslim Council of western New York State.

Hareth Raddawi - member, board of directors, American-Arab Anti Discrimination Committee, Chicago.

Allam Reheem - former member, board of directors, Islamic Academy of Florida, Tampa.

Talal Sunbulli - former chairman, Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago.

James Zogby - president, Arab American Institute.

Cynthia McKinney is a functionally incompetent far-left nutcase ... and come next January she'll be back in Washington.  Now Corinne Brown, Sheila Jackson-Lee and Maxine Waters will have some good company.  Residents of Georgia's 4th Congressional District have every cause to be both ashamed and embarrassed.

THE TIMING IS CURIOUS?

Yesterday I was ready to give Sandy Berger the benefit of the doubt over this controversy about purloined secret documents.  Today I'm not feeling quite so generous.  Accidentally walking out of a National Archives reading room with a document in your coat or pants pocket it one thing.  Stuffing those documents into your pants legs and socks is quite another.  Statements from some employees of the National Archives lead to the conclusion that the misappropriation of those documents was an intentional act, not accidental.  Now some of those documents will never be recovered.  So, the smell of fish becomes stronger.  Everybody from Lanny Davis to Joe Lockhart to Bill Clinton himself have come to Berger's defense.  The former president laughed it off, saying anyone who has seen Berger's desk knows he is a messy guy.

You do know that Berger was working for the Kerry campaign, don't you?  Was he trying to gather research for Kerry?  Was he trying to hide some information from the past?  He says he inadvertently left with some documents.  What was contained in those documents?  One thing's for sure...not only were they classified documents....they were very top-secret documents.

And what do the Democrats have to say?  Well, they're very suspicious about the timing of these reports.  They weren't at all suspicious about the timing of the news stories about George Bush's service in the Texas Air National Guard ... but this Berger thing is quite different.

Remember .. these documents were related to the Clinton administration's treatment of concerns over Al Qaeda as we approached what many people mistakenly believed to be the turn of the century in late 1999.

When will some newspaper ask the editorial question "What did John Kerry know, and when did he know it?"  Hint:  Don't hold your breath.

UNITED NATIONS SIDES WITH TERRORISTS

This should be all the evidence anyone needs that the United Nations is a worthless organization that needs to be seriously reformed, if not replaced.  The United Nations voted yesterday to demand Israel tear down its security wall it is building to seal off the West Bank. The vote was 150 in favor, 6 opposed including the United States and 10 countries abstaining.  Well how about that...the United Nations taking up the plight of suicide bombers!  Why am I not surprised.

Even more of an insult was what the resolution said.  It demands that the barrier be dismantled and reparations be paid to Palestinians harmed by its construction.  The UN is demanding that Israel comply with some World Court decision. For its part, Israel has rejected the whole idea and will continue to build its wall.  Interestingly, the UN has never demanded reparations be paid to Israelis for the carnage cause by Nobel Peace Prize winner's Yassir Arafat's Palestinian suicide bombers.

So what's the real agenda here?  The Palestinians are complaining that parts of the wall are being built on the West Bank land that Israel conquered in the 1967 Middle East war.  The Arab World calls it "occupied territory." It's not, it's conquered territory.  That land belongs to Israel, and they can build whatever they please there ... including a moat full of swimming pigs if they so desire.

Then you have the whole point of the wall in the first place.  Israel is building it to keep out Palestinian suicide bombers.  They want to protect their homeland from these psychotic Islamic terrorists that like the blow up innocent civilians.

Nothing new here, really.  The anti-Semitic United Nations has never accepted Israel's right to defend itself, much less build a wall.

LINDA RONSTADT UPDATE

More fallout from Linda Ronstadt's Vegas canning.  This time that worthless tub of lard Michael Moore has weighed in.  In an open letter to the president of the Aladdin Hotel and Casino on his website, Moore whines about how this is "censorship" and that in the United States, "we have something called 'The First Amendment,' which guarantees the right to free speech.  So .. Michael Moore thinks that the First Amendment means that anyone can go on anyone else's stage .. that being private property ... and say whatever they want to their host's guests?  Is he really that stupid?

The latest statement from the hotel puts it best: "Ms. Ronstadt was hired to entertain the guests of the Aladdin, not to espouse her political views."  In other words, know your role and shut your mouth.  She can say whatever she wants, it's just nobody has to listen, especially paying customers.

Then there was this.  Linda Ronstadt made this recent statement to the media: "It's a real conflict for me when I go to a concert and find out somebody in the audience is a Republican or fundamental Christian. It can cloud my enjoyment. I'd rather not know."  Of course she gets a complete pass from the media, who doesn't take her to task for her Christian-bashing.

Imagine if she had said Muslim instead of Christian, or Democrat instead of Republican.  All hell would have broken loose.

READING ASSIGNMENTS

This should make your blood boil.  Michelle Malkin's column today talks about what happened when a local police chief contacted the federal government about deporting some illegal aliens he arrested.

American union members are forced to pay to promote political ideas and candidates that they do not necessarily support.  Democrats are fine with this.  In fact, they love it!

A Wisconsin State Trooper is being hailed as a hero for saving a suicidal woman who was driving through traffic at 105 miles per hour, then tried to jump off a bridge.  Seems like a lot of people want to jump off of bridges these days...why not let them have their wish?

Well, apparently it was a false alarm.  Michael Jackson is not having quadruplets.  Whew.  Can you imagine?  Let's not.

Hollywood Republicans?  Yup.  They do exist!

Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson (Democrat, what else) of Texas sent a letter to the U.N. asking them to monitor our presidential elections this year to ensure free and fair elections.  More sour grapes over Florida 2000....the left can't get over losing the election fair and square.

win">Moveon.org is asking people to write to the FTC and force Fox News to stop using the slogan 'Fair and Balanced.'  What about liberal networks like ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, and The New York Times?  Oh yeah...they don't have a slogan.

The New York Times buried the Sandy Berger story....following their template of only featuring stories that either hurt Bush or help Kerry.  Imagine if it had been Condoleezza Rice?

National Review's Byron York has a nice little ditty on Max Cleland.  Check it out.

Finally, somebody calling it what it is.  According to John Podhoretz, the 9/11 Commission is a partisan mistake.  He couldn't be more right.

California liberals are still up in arms about being called "girlie men."  The Dallas Morning News has an excellent editorial on the matter.

Here are two Senators that understand the seriousness of the war on terrorism: Republican Jon Kyl and Democrat Joe Lieberman.

Think socialized medicine is a good idea?  How about taking a look at Canada's system up close....Walter Williams has the details.

Despite the fact that liberals have controlled the media establishment for decades, they now believe that Fox News must be stopped.  More from Brent Bozell.
