SPRING TRAINING

OK folks .. It's my annual two days off for Atlanta Braves Spring Training at Walt Disney World in Orlando.  I'll be out there on the scrubs field shagging flies.  This means that Belinda will go out there and find some of the most embarrassing and/or controversial shows I've done in the past couple of months ... and those are the ones she will chose for the Boortz "Best Of."  We'll be back live and rarin' to rip on Monday.

Also ... looking forward to having dinner with some select AM 580 WDBO " insider" listeners at Del Frisco's restaurant in Orlando on Monday. That's right.  I return to Atlanta on Sunday .. then fly back to Orlando on Monday afternoon.  It's easy when you don't have to deal with the TSA.

Neal's out, but the Nuze marches on...

THE DEFINITION OF A REAL ALLY IN THE WAR ON TERRORISM

Since Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction haven't been found yet (he had them, it's just a question of where they went,) many of our supposed "allies" are turning into weak-kneed Islamic terrorism appeasers.  You have the Al Qaeda-backed election in Spain, and now the president of Poland says he was also "misled."  The real reason these countries have joined the axis of weasels is because they have abandoned the war on terrorism. Too bad for them.  We'll have to keep that in mind the next time they need something.

But let's talk about a real ally in the war on terrorism.  A country that doesn't just pay lip service to the fight against Islamic terrorist, but one that actually takes action.  I am talking about Pakistan.  Let's just look at the evidence of their actual assistance in hunting down and killing members of Al Qaeda, as well as participating in the hunt for Osama Bin Laden.

Yesterday, the President of Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf said that his government had 200 Al Qaeda fighters surrounded, believed to be protecting the terror network's second in command, Ayman al-Zawahiri.  You may have seen this loser on TV delivering his "message" via the Al- Jazeera network.  A Pakistani General said his forces were committed to " finish off the terrorists" and that within a day or two there might be " good news" to report.

That's how you fight the war on terrorism.  You fight it with helicopter gunships and artillery, not hot air at the United Nations.

KERRY IS NOW REJECTING FOREIGN ENDORSEMENTS

It was okay when John sKerry could say that foreign leaders supported him over President Bush, because it suited his political purpose.  Now that one of these "foreign leaders" have stepped forward, Senator Flip-Flop is singing a different tune. Sounds like a familiar refrain, doesn't it?  What a phony.

Yesterday, the former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Mahathir Mohamad, an avowed anti-Semite, said that he was endorsing John Kerry for president of the United States.  It took all of the three seconds for the Kerry campaign to issue a statement rejecting the endorsement, and saying this: "It is simply not appropriate for any foreign leader to endorse a candidate in America's presidential election.  John Kerry does not seek, and will not accept, any such endorsements."  Excuse me? Oh really...well how about just a while ago when Kerry was saying that leaders of other countries had said they supported him?  You see, when it comes to sKerry and his crew, the truth is only useful if it serves a purpose.

What a crooked, lying bunch.

"REPUBLICAN" JOHN MCCAIN STICKS UP FOR JOHN KERRY

Arizona Senator and liberal media darling John McCain, who never met a camera he didn't like, has now said that John Kerry is not weak on defense.  When asked about Vice President Cheney's assertion that John Kerry was a threat to national security, McCain said "I don't think that. John Kerry is a good and decent man."  This coming from someone who supposedly supports the re-election of the Bush-Cheney ticket?

This along with McCain saying the other day he would entertain the idea of being on a ticket with John Kerry, along with his disastrous support of the anti-free speech campaign finance reform makes you wonder just whose side this guy is on.  He is acting like the Kerry campaign is not attacking the president at all, which couldn't be further from the truth.

McCain has said that he intends to campaign for President Bush and Vice President Cheney.  I guess he forget to mention they would have to bend over and grab the ankles first.

This column by your Talkmaster warns against messing with the Constitution and exposes 11 members of Congress that have introduced a worthless bill. The Founding Fathers knew what they were doing, and these numbskulls do not.

David Limbaugh wonders if by nominating Kerry, the Democrats are about to have a serious case of buyer's remorse?  The liberals could be getting more than they bargained for.

Jeff Jacoby takes on affirmative action and talks about flattering minorities.  Are the "top minority students" really the top students? Check it out.

Thomas Sowell talks about the idiotic nature of federal subsidies, in this case water subsidies (yes, that's right...your tax dollars are actually used to subsidize water.) Isn't that nice?

Mona Charen warns that electing John Kerry would return us to the Clinton-era policies of treating terrorism like a law enforcement operation.  She says the stakes in this election are the highest they've been since 1984.

So now that the surrender monkeys in Spain have thrown in the towel in the war on terrorism, who's next?  Charles Krauthammer provides a little history and says Europe may follow.

The Cato Institute's Brink Lindsey has a new report out debunking the outsourcing myths.  Required reading for anyone whining about their job going overseas.

Bill Bennett talks about the Democratic party and the politics of war, and notes that today's modern Democratic party is allying itself with failed candidates of the past.

A third aviation security agent has come forward to say that he warned John Kerry about lapses in airport security before 9/ 11. As Howard Dean would say, that's "interesting."

A Vietnam War historian and Kerry supporter says Kerry is lying about his anti-war past. With friends like this, who needs enemies?
