ANOTHER ISLAMIC TERRORIST PUSHING UP DAISIES

Well, they're still scraping Hamas "spiritual leader" (that's a liberal media term...I prefer the more factual "Islamic terrorist") Sheikh Ahmed Yassin up off the sidewalk outside his mosque. Witnesses say Israeli helicopters fired three missiles at Yassin.  The world will call this an evil act because Yassin was in a wheelchair.  In case you don't realize it, terrorists in wheelchairs get some sort of a bye.  Hey, it's only fair!.  They got his two bodyguards too, thus compounding the terrible crime.  After all, these two bodyguards were just trying to help a crippled old man.  They were killed instantly. Good shot. Past Israeli governments had been reluctant to target Yassin, but not Ariel Sharon. They tried to get him once before last September, but missed. Not this time.

My take?  The Israelis know how to do this right.  They know that Hamas and the PLO are terrorist organizations, and they don't worry about making them mad, or trying to appease them.  They find out where they are, and they kill them. End of discussion.  Israel is fighting for survival, fighting to stop the Palestinian homicide bombings that  have killed 474 people since September 2000 (the majority of them Israelis.)  Yassin had every opportunity to ask his followers to stop the violence.  He didn't.  And why not?  Because despite what you may read in the media, the Palestinians don't want peace. In 2000 at Camp David, Yasser Arafat walked out after being offered a Palestinian state, the Temple Mount, Gaza, almost the whole West Bank and half of Jerusalem. The Palestinians didn't even make a counter-offer. The reasons are simple: if there was peace, then the Islamic terrorist leaders would simply be out of a job.

The soft-on-terrorism crowd is worried that now Hamas will strike back.  NOW they'll strike back?  They're always striking.  They're always out there trying to kill innocent women and children.  They're attacking children in their schools, and where they gather for pizza after school.  What in the hell are they going to do that they haven't already been doing?

The Israelis know terrorists cannot be appeased, so they must be eliminated. This is what John Kerry and the voters of Spain can't seem to understand. I wonder where Yasser Arafat is right now?

FAILED UN INSPECTORS SAY WAR NOT JUSTIFIED

More sour grapes from Hans Blix and the United Nations over the weapons of mass destruction. Blix said yesterday that "I think it's clear that in March, when the invasion took place, the evidence that had been brought forward was rapidly falling apart." Well isn't that nice. What exactly is the point here?

So the WMD haven't been found yet. It is an irrefutable fact that Saddam Hussein had the weapons, and he used them, and was hiding them. In a rational world that is ALL the justification you need to removing him from power.  Hussein was hiding his weapons from UN inspectors for years in a ridiculous cat-and-mouse game.  If Iraq didn't have the weapons, then why didn't they produce evidence to the contrary in the years leading up to the war?

And then there's this absurd statement from Mohamed El Baradei, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency: "We learned from Iraq that an inspection takes time, that we should be patient, than an inspection can, in fact, work." Oh really? Does an inspection take 12 years? Countless UN resolutions that aren't worth the paper they're printed on? Spare me.

They had their chance. They failed. It took the United States and our allies to pick up the slack and enforce the resolutions the UN passed. Oh ... and liberate millions of people in the process.  Do you know that there are no more rape rooms in Iraq?  Do you realize that young teenage girls are no longer snatched from the streets and taken away to give pleasure to the sons of Saddam? Just think ... it's been a year since an Iraqi dissident has been made to sit and watch as their daughters and raped and murdered by Saddam's goons.  Oh .. and they're not digging mass graves in Iraq any more.  Mothers aren't roaming the streets wondering where their sons have been taken.  And the Kurds?  They no longer look to the sky wondering when the next chemical rain will come to kill tens of thousands.

And John Kerry thinks we should turn the war on terror over to the UN.

ABOUT THIS RICHARD CLARKE GUY ON 60 MINUTES.....

Well, the media is serving up more fuel for the "Bush lied" crowd. Today's installment comes courtesy of disgruntled former White House employee Richard Clarke who is (surprise!) hawking a book. Clarke was an anti-terrorism advisor for Presidents Reagan, Bush Sr. and Clinton. When the current President Bush took office, Clarke was stripped of his cabinet-level rank. I am sure that has nothing to do with any of this. Sure.

Clarke claims he was all but told by the President to manufacture a link between between 9/11 and Iraq. The White House claims they have no evidence the conversation ever took place. Here's a newsflash: people lie ... and people lie to sell books. Clarke also claims to have been repeatedly ignored while trying to warn about Al-Qaeda,  and says the administration wasn't doing enough on terrorism. Riiight.

All it takes is a little digging to realize this is nothing more than a partisan attack from a bitter Democrat. It turns out Clarke is close to Rand Beers, who is advising the Kerry campaign. Of course, you'll never hear the mainstream media report that. And if Mr. Clarke was so concerned about national security, terrorism, and the administration's handling of it, then why did he wait until now to tell everybody about it?

Because his book is coming out. Case closed.

DEL FRISCO'S TONIGHT!

As soon as today's show is over I'll hop in the Mooney and head back south to Orlando!  Tonight I get to break bread and gobble some steak with some of my AM 580 WDBO listeners at Del Frisco's Steakhouse!  Tomorrow the show comes to you from the WDBO studios ... unless, that is, I get up at around 4:00 and decide to watch the sunrise from the front seat of Delta Bravo.

READING ASSIGNMENTS

In an excellent column, Diana West writes that the war on terror is not really a war on terrorism, but rather a war against mass-murdering Islamic jihadists. Of course, the mainstream media will never report it that way.

John Kerry is for US policy in Cuba...no wait...he's against it. Just where does the Senator stand? Jeff Jacoby unravels the mystery.

Paul Greenberg talks about the death of Islamic terrorist Abu Abbas, and how the Palestinian Authority has become a failed state without ever having been a state.

Condoleezza Rice has shot back over allegations by disgruntled former White House employee that she had never heard of Al-Qaeda. This should put that to rest.

George Smith looks at Richard Clarke's legacy of miscalculation, and gives us the truth about the media's new darling.

NBC Newswoman Andrea Mitchell says Hillary Clinton does indeed want to be on the ticket with John Kerry. We can only hope.

Al-Qaeda's #2 man is claiming to have bought nuclear briefcase bombs on the black market. Still worried about jobs and healthcare? I didn't think so.

The book - burners are at it again. Some parents in Bartow County want to ban a bunch of books from their local schools' reading list.

Jimmy Carter says the Iraq war was based on lies. Whatever, Mr. President. Isn't there a dictator somewhere you're supposed to be appeasing?

Are we winning the war against leftist indoctrination and intolerance on the college campuses?  Mike Adams says that we are.

The AP is reporting that Bush and Kerry are being urged to tone down their election attacks by "senior members of the Democrat and Republican parties." Senators John McCain and Chuck Hagel are the ones whining about the Bush attacks on Kerry. Whose side are they on, anyway?

Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney held up a picture at a St. Patrick's Day breakfast making fun of John Kerry. Good fun...check it out.
