SWITCHING IN PITTSBURGH

Today's the day for the big switch in Pittsburgh. This afternoon the Neal Boortz Show moves to Pittsburgh's Talk Radio station 1360 WPTT. I'll be on the air for the same hours, 1:00 to 3:00 pm.  So ... spread the word!  Boortz is on WPTT!  Sometime soon we'll schedule a trip to Pittsburgh to welcome all the Boortz listeners to their new home.

THANKS WTAW AND AGGIELAND!

Belinda, Royal and I want to thank the staff of our Bryan/College Station affiliate News Talk 1620 WTAW, the athletics staff of Texas A&M University and the George Bush Presidential Library for a tremendous time over the weekend.  We started out with a great live broadcast at the Hilton Hotel, ended Friday with a private behind-the-scenes tour of the Bush Library, and ended up with an Aggie win over Texas Tech on Saturday afternoon.  Couldn't have been better.  Thanks, everyone!

Royal, Belinda, Neal and Ben Downs

Amy Day, archivist at the Bush Library, shows Boortz just some of the items sent to President Bush from individuals around the world.  Everything is saved and cataloged.  On the bottom shelf you can see the koozies.

MILITARY TAKES FALLUJAH

The media coverage of the offensive in Fallujah has been quite interesting.  A few outlets have reported that the military has taken Fallujah, but most are only reporting the negative aspects.  (Not enough this or that, city not fully secured, etc.)  But make no mistake, the swift, certain and overwhelming victory of the troops in Iraq is stunning.

This was supposed to be impossible.  The nay-sayers (including John Kerry and the Democrats) said it couldn't be done, that more troops would be needed, that the war couldn't be won.  We were told it was a quagmire, the second coming of Vietnam.  Yet none of that has happened.  Where are the nay-sayers now?  Oh, that's right...most of them lost the election.

Despite the condescension of the left and the media, the United States Military walked into Fallujah with overwhelming force and took the place with relative ease.  Sadly, 38 GIs have died...but that pales in comparison to the over 1,200 dead insurgents that the Coalition has been stacking up like freshly chopped fire wood on a fall afternoon.

Insurgents, most of them from Syria and other nations, will now pop up in another Iraqi city and give it another shot.  Their numbers will be less and their determination weakened ... but there will be other fights and many more dead insurgents.

What's the purpose?  Prevent the elections.  Freedom is poison to Islamic thugs.  Any nationwide election in Iraq will be seen as a devastating defeat for the Islamic jihadists.  If they can prevent or delay those elections it will be seen as a victory for the terrorists.  It's a shame that so many in the west want to help insure that victory by weakening American resolve.

SMUGGLE NUKES INTO MEXICO?

Are you listening folks?  Time magazine is reporting this week that captured al Qaeda operatives are talking about plans to sneak weapons of mass destruction, with an emphasis on nuclear weapons, into the United States through Mexico.   There's further intelligence information showing that Islamic terrorists consider Mexico to be the ideal place to marshal supplies needed for an attack on the U.S. using a weapon of mass destruction.

Did you catch "60 Minutes" last night?  CIA analyst, Michael Scheuer said of Al-Qaeda:" Their intention is to end the war as soon as they can and to ratchet up the pain for the Americans until we get out of their region. ... If they acquire the weapon, they will use it, whether it's chemical, biological or some sort of nuclear weapon."  He also said that Osama Bin Laden had sought the religions approval to use a nuke.

Does anyone really doubt that Islamic terrorists would be successful in sneaking weapons across our border with Mexico?  Does anyone think that Mexican authorities are concerned enough to actually help in securing those borders?

Time to think about a wall?

ARAFAT CORRUPT? YOU DON'T SAY

Now that Yasser Arafat has gone off to see Allah, people are starting to ask questions about where all the money went.  Specifically, where the Palestinian Authority's millions and billons that were ripped off by Arafat wound up.

Time magazine is reporting that auditors found that Arafat was skimming $2 million a month from the sale of gasoline in the Palestinian territories.  Time also reports that Arafat sent his wife $200,000 a month out of the Palestinian Authority's coffers.  He also sent money to terrorist organizations responsible for suicide bombings of innocent civilians.  But I thought he was a Nobel Prize-winning peacemaker?  Not unless embezzling billions of dollars makes you qualify.

His people mourn his passing, yet he is the one that that was keeping them broke, desperate and without a nation.  There's a country song in there somewhere.  Read the lead offering in today's reading assignments.  Learn something of the monster that was Yasser Arafat.  This is the bastard that our media gave the Princess Di treatment to last week.

IT COULDN'T POSSIBLY BE US.  IT JUST HAS TO BE "THEM."

Are you listening to all of the excuses that the Democrats and their leftist pals are coming up with to explain the lost election?  It's all of those evangelical Christians out there.  It was all about moral values ... the old, outdated moral values of the right.  American voters just weren't smart, sophisticated and worldly enough to know what was really good for them.

One thing that can't be blamed?  Democratic party politics.  If you don't believe that America is great because of government, as Democrats do, then you must be living in some rural farming community in a backward red state where international culture just can't break through.  If you believe that America's greatness comes from the incredible dynamic of free people interacting with one another in an economic and social structure unobstructed by government interference, then you're a hopeless rube.

But don't count the left out by any means.  Every day in this country untold numbers of people decide that it's better to just sit back and let the government take care of things than it is to actually take responsibility for your own life.  Once a person crosses that line they become a loyal Democratic voters.

IRAN BEHAVES .... FUNNY HOW THAT HAPPENS, ISN'T IT?

We're learning today that Iran has now agreed to forego the production of weapons-grade nuclear materials.  At least that's Iran's story today.  Here's what you won't hear in the coverage of this story.  Iraq would be taking no such position if it had not been for Bush's victory two weeks ago.  Iraq now faces the reality of four more years with George Bush, an American president who has demonstrated a resolve to fight the terrorist threat, and who follows through.  Iran certainly would have preferred The Poodle, but things just didn't go their way.  Sad, isn't it?  The Iranian weird-beards are thinking survival ... and their survival might well hinge on their abandonment of all dreams of nuclear weapons.

READING ASSIGNMENTS

At the top of today's reading assignments.  This is today's must-read .. your inoculation from the poison of appeasement.   This great article is about Muhammad Abdel Rahman Abdel Rauf al-Qudwa al-Husseini, the father of modern terrorism, a murderer and a thug.  You probably known him by his alias.  Yasser Arafat.

You really must wondering about the Supreme Court?  Here's a short list of just who may be on deck. Chose your favorite.

Why did John Kerry lose? Don't believe the "moral values" excuse

Little itty bitty radio antennas on medicine bottles?  Is this starting to worry any of you?

It looks like the Dutch are one European country that recognizes the threat of Islamic terrorism.

Iran is throwing in the towel on its nuclear program, because it says the EU has given it guarantees against future UN sanctions.  Hardly.  This is a direct result of the reelection of George Bush and the realization by the Islamic terrorists that their days could be numbered.  Call it the Gadhaffi effect, if you will.

Here's some video of the boys mopping up in Fallujah....contains some naughty language, broadband recommended.

The Clinton presidential library opens this week......and so does the Counter Clinton Library.  Which one will have the blue dress on display?  Inquiring minds want to know.

In his entire first term as president, George W. Bush never once vetoed anything.  Will he in his second term?  Steve Chapman takes a look.

The body of a blonde Caucasian woman has been found in Fallujah with a slashed throat and the arms and legs cut off.  Islam is such a peaceful religion, isn't it?

The Hildabeast's 2008 campaign has already begun.  The first mission?  To try and make her into a moderate.  Good luck.

Keith Olbermann is turning into cable news' own Dan Rather with his accusations about the election being stolen.  Bill Steigerwald checks in.

The syrupy media tributes to Yasser Arafat ignore the fact that he is the original Islamic terrorist.  The Media Research Center reports.

Now that Arafat is dead, what's next?  Charles Krauthammer says more of the same, because the Palestinians haven't changed that much.

The Bush-haters are terrified of one group of people: the Bush voters.  You know, the people who live in the red states.  Diana West has more.

Aside from the Democrats and The Poodle, who was the other big loser in the 2004 election?  The Old Media, says Michael Barone.

The Senate is looking into the UN oil-for-food ripoff, and it's actually worse than what is being reported.  Robert Novak says the UN is in serious trouble.

A doctor's group is opposing the mandatory mental health testing for kids...hopefully everyone else will too.
