Nancy and I were in agreement on our mutual distrust of electronic voting machines, though for different reasons. I don't like them because there generally isn't a paper backup. Nancy doesn't like them because the principal manufacturer of the machines is a Republican. Presumably Nancy would like those machines if the manufacturer supported Kerry. But that's where the agreement ended. Nancy says that Gore won the 2004 election by 500,000 votes. Isn't it sad when a person manages to get to the point where they have their own talk show in the nation's number three radio market, and they don't even have a working familiarity with the Constitution? That, of course, brought us to the idea that Americans have a right to vote ... and that includes a right to vote in a presidential election. Sorry, folks .. but it just isn't so. I hate going over this again, but you can read the Constitution all you want, and you're never going to find any clause which grants a universal right to vote to American citizens. You will find a 15th Amendment where it is written that a person can't be prevented from voting because of their race, ethnicity, gender ... etc. All the 15th Amendment does is restrict the states and the federal government from turning voters away from the polls because of race, gender or religion. Nothing in the 15th Amendment says that either the states or the federal government must allow all people to vote. There are rights granted to all Americans. You can worship and express yourself as you please. Sorry .. no right to vote. Now, as for presidential elections. Read the constitution. There is no constitutional guarantee that there will be any vote at all, let alone that everyone has the "right" to vote. The only people who have a right to vote for president under our Constitution are the electors from each state. There is no restriction placed on the states as to how these electors must be chosen. State legislatures may appoint the electors with absolutely no public vote if they so chose. Right to vote? It simply isn't there. Now .. having covered the "right to vote" nonsense ... let's get to the point. The principal problem with the 2000 election in Florida was voter incompetence. There were thousands of voters in Florida who were so dense, so stunningly stupid that they couldn't even follow the simple instructions for filling out a punch-card ballot. Many were so void of reasoning ability that they couldn't figure out the mindlessly simple butterfly ballot. These people couldn't cope with the simple task of voting, and yet we celebrate the fact that they could have made the difference in who was in the White House on September 11th? I believe that the ultimate survival of this Republic is in doubt. How can you feel optimistic about a continuation of the American saga when almost 50% of the people in this country would hand the reins of power to someone like John Kerry? Can America be saved? Can freedom and individuality prevail? Yes ... but only with some drastic measures. At the top of the list is culling the voter rolls. Welfare recipients first. If you depend on government handouts for your survival, at least have the decency to sit back and let the people who are paying your bills make the decisions. Maybe we could also limit voting to people who actually know who is representing them in their state legislators and in Washington? We can figure out who gets to vote and who doesn't later. Right now we just have to come to the understanding that to allow people without a clue into a voting booth is dangerous to our Republic and the future of freedom.
Yasser Arafat supports The Poodle. Arafat wants Bush defeated and Kerry in the White House, this according to several Palestinian leaders. Saeb Erekat, one of Arafat's chief negotiators, told World Net Daily that the Palestinian Authority wants a change in who occupies the White House. Another Arafat confidant said that Arafat thinks Kerry would be better for the Palestinian cause. Here's the oddity. Even if Arafat were to film campaign commercials for Kerry, and accompany him on the campaign trail, Kerry would still carry the Jewish vote in the United States. Some things just can't be figured out. Vote for Kerry if you chose. Just remember who will be figuratively slapping you on the back as you cast that vote. Yasser Arafat, for one. The world's Islamic terrorists, for another. Sorry ... facts is facts.
What possible "frequent departures from fact-based analysis" is he
talking about? This is the same Al Gore whose administration's stated Iraq
policy for 8 years was regime change. This is the same Al Gore whose
administration did nothing in response to Islamic terrorism, despite repeated
attacks on the United States and our interests. And what does he mean
"right-wing political and economic ideology?" Once again, the left has this double standard with religion. Just
because George Bush speaks with moral clarity and brings up his religion from
time to time, he is somehow different from the Democrats, who do the exact same
thing. READING ASSIGNMENTS Well ... we're running a bit late in the campaign, so it's time for the Democrats to do what the Democrats have done so well for generations ... scare the Depends off of senior citizens. Fight back against email scammers! In short, screw with them! Frustrate them! Here's your link. It's call scambaiting. Soon it will be an Internet sport. Here's an excellent example of how to scambait! Read and have fun. [The website appears to be down, but here's an article about it] This one is fun. Just click on this link to see how unbelievably proud John Edwards is of his hair. And where did the glasses come from? What will be the net effect of Kerry's glaring weakness on the issue of national security? The terrorist picks the terrorist appeaser every time.
Yasser Arafat has endorsed The Poodle. Anyone surprised? I
didn't think so. Message: | ||
