Have you heard the latest from The Poodle? John Kerry has a 20-year record in the United States Senate, along with two decades of public statements to go with it, but so far the press has given him a complete pass on his comments regarding the use of American armed forces outside our borders. The media continues to toe the Democratic company line that The Poodle went to Vietnam, got a few medals, and that means that he's fully qualified to be the Commander in Chief. That liberal record in the Senate and his history of public statements are just small footnotes. The Washington Post ran a story yesterday about John Kerry's approach to foreign policy. Here's one paragraph from that article:
Read it again, folks. Then read it again after that. This isn't some ancient yammering from Kerry back in the 1970's. This is contemporary Kerry. This is Kerry after having served a decade in the Senate. This is Kerry saying that it OK for Americans to die fighting for a cause ratified by the United Nations, but not OK for American soldiers to sacrifice their lives just fighting for the United States ... fighting for their country. America is not worth dying for. Dying for the United Nations is. This is a virtual repeat of Kerry's statement in the 1970's that it was his belief that U.S. troops should only be deployed outside of the United States with the permission of the United Nations. Oh, to be sure ... he's tried to back off from that statement during this presidential campaign, but I have this nasty tendency to believe what people tell me when they're not running for office, rather then when they're fishing for my vote. Now we see that Kerry reiterated his feelings just ten years ago!
And did you hear Kerry yesterday? He was addressing the question of whether or not he would have removed Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq. He says he would have, but only if he had been able to develop the appropriate international coalition. That means France and Germany. Well, there was no way in hell France and Germany were going to participate in dethroning their Sugar Daddy ... so that means that if it had been Kerry's call, Saddam Hussein would still be running the show in Iraq today. But wait! There's more! Please remember that Kerry also voted against removing Saddam from Kuwait! The reality is that if the great and wonderful John Kerry had been making the decisions Saddam would today be ruling over both Iraq and Kuwait .. and God only knows what else. What does it take to make you Democrats understand? What does it take to make those of you with those Kerry / Edwards bumper stickers and yard signs understand the danger that this man presents to our country? Do you really believe that the American Commander in Chief should seek some sort of global permission, or the blessings of the United Nations before he can act in the defense of our homeland and our neighbors? Do you really believe that it OK for Americans to die in battle, just so long as they're fighting under the flag of the United Nations? You hate Bush? You hate his swagger? You despise his smirk! You think he stole the election? Fine! Is that hatred strong enough for you to jeopardize the safety of our country just to wipe that silly grin off his face? Is that burning hatred so strong that you can sit back and say "well at least Bush isn't the president" after the next terrorist attack on our homeland? Look at this man! I used to think that he was just an empty political vessel. Not so. John Kerry is a dangerous politician bent on granting to the majority of Europeans that which they desire so strongly, a weakened United States. He denigrated our servicemen and women when he returned from Vietnam, and he dishonors them and all that they stand for now by saying that while it is OK for them to die for the United Nations, their lives should not be put on the line for their own country. This is a man who truly believes that the United States is little more than a member "state" of the great and exalted UN. This country's salvation may lie in you having one quick pang of consciousness when you walk into that voting booth on November 2nd. When you stand there ready to cast your vote you'll have the spirit of international Islamic terrorism on one shoulder trying to guide your hand toward a vote for John Kerry. On the other shoulder will be the ghosts of the Khobar Towers, the USS Cole and of 9/11 urging you to set your petty hatreds aside and vote for the only man who you truly know will take the fight to the Islamic terrorists ... regardless of whether or not Kofi Annan approves. Generations of Americans are depending on you to do the right thing. There seems to be no limit for the Democrats. Anything is fair game. Any problem that exists anywhere in the United States is the complete and absolute fault of George Bush, including the flu vaccine shortage. No doubt, Americans are worked up over the flu vaccine shortage. So why not blame Bush? Can anybody point to one specific policy decision from George Bush that led to this flu vaccine crisis this year? Come on! I'm listening! Just one policy decision. But what about Democrats? Did any decisions there lead to this crisis? Well, try this one on. The reason for the crisis is that one of the two makers of flu vaccine, the Chiron Corporation in England, encountered a biological contamination problem with this year's batch. Since it takes months to create a dose of vaccine, there's no catching up for this year. Is it possible that a heavier inspection schedule at Chiron might have prevented this contamination, or caught it before it became catastrophic? Possibly. Why wasn't there a heavier inspection schedule? Could it be because Democrats cut the funds for additional federal supervision of vaccine production overseas? And just why would Democrats do that? Could it be because they were opposed to allowing overseas pharmaceutical companies to manufacture flu vaccines for use in the United States? Why would Democrats do that? Maybe because they receive such heavy campaign contributions from American pharmaceutical companies? And then there's John Kerry's running mate! How about the Breck Girl? Trial lawyers have run so many companies out of the vaccine business with lawsuits that we are left with very few suppliers. The point here is that there may be quite a few Democrats in this flu vaccine woodpile, but that doesn't stop them from placing the shortage firmly at the feet of George Bush. They know this tactic will work to some extent because they know that the people they are trying to get into the voting booth are functionally illiterate when it comes to the operation of our government and the effects of government policy. A bad thing is happening .. .there's a shortage of flu vaccine. Blame the bad thing on Bush and there is no shortage of idiots out there will will buy it.
The Centers for Disease Control and other federal and state health agencies are urging people with no health problems not to take the flu vaccine. I don't take it, never have. Vice President did take the flu vaccine. He has a 25-year history of heart disease. He is exactly the type of person that should be taking the vaccine. The CDC specifically mentions people with heart disease as candidates for the vaccine. I guess, though, that the real interpretation of the instructions from our health officials is that only Democrats with health problems should be vaccinated. Republicans don't get any vaccines .... period. So now ... believe it or not ... we have the Kerry campaign actually slamming Dick Cheney for taking the shot. No .. I'm not kidding. The campaign statement was issued yesterday in Pittsburgh. "Once again, the Bush administration proves that it is the 'do as we say, not as we do' White House. The very week that secretary Thompson is telling Americans to keep calm, Dick Cheney, John Snow and Bill Frist are getting flu shots.'" By the way, Bill Clinton also got a flu shot. We're looking, but we haven't seen any statements from the Kerry Campaign about Clinton's vaccination. We're waiting.
Yeah, that Teresa. Ms. Billionaire Teresa Heinz Kerry. Teresa, who married a rich guy, inherited his money, and now spends her days giving that money away to liberal causes, was comparing herself to Laura Bush in a USA Today interview. Of Laura Bush Mizz Kerry said "I don't know if she's ever had a real job." The wannabe First Lady issued a statement later yesterday acknowledging the fact that she had forgotten that Laura Bush was once a school teacher an a librarian. She said "There cannot be a more important job than teaching our children." OK .. the apology to Laura Bush was gracious and should be accepted as such. But what about the insult that the arrogant Teresa Heinz Kerry delivered to every mother in America? Feminism has for years degraded and downplayed the job of being a mother and raising children, yet there is no more important job in our society. As human beings we only have one natural job --- one job that must be performed and performed well if we are to preserve the human species. Teresa Heinz Kerry knows that Laura Bush has raised two children, yet to Teresa this doesn't count as a "real job." I guess when you're a billionaire you hire people to do that for you. This is on par with The Hildabeast's "stay home and bake cookies" remark during Clinton's first campaign. Hopefully more American women are paying attention now. Both Hillary and Teresa clearly showed their disdain and contempt for the woman who faces the challenge of raising a family. If you work outside the home you're worthy. Inside the home? Worthless.
There's radio ratings news from New York City. Rush Limbaugh is still the king pulling down a 5.O share in the latest Arbitron numbers. Al Franken, though, is running second with his 2.3 share! You won't believe this, but I for one am pleased to see the good ratings numbers that Air America is getting in many major American markets. First of all, I honestly believe that Americans should be exposed to all viewpoints. Your decisions and opinions are stronger when you assimilate information from both sides. But, more importantly, Air America and the singularly miserable Al Franken are, I believe, standing between conservative/libertarian talk radio and the Congress. I can promise you that if The Poodle were to win the election, and if Democrats ever regained their birthright of power in the Senate and the House, they would move to squash conservative talk radio quicker than Jimmy Carter would undress to get in bed with a dictator. Liberal talk radio, Al Franken and Air America are the best insulation conservative talk radio has from government control. Listen and support! And ... no. I won't be going on Al Franken's show. Tried it twice, and the man doesn't have a professional bone in his body.
Powerful, very powerful. The ad is very simple. As a narrator reads a script, a camera slowly plans the faces of about 84 Vietnam War veterans. They're just standing there looking solemnly into the camera as it passes. As you look at the faces of these men who served their country, and as low-key music plays in the background, the narrator reads this script to explain who these men are, and why they're appearing in the ad:
Thanks to the magic of Tivo, I watched the ad over and over several times. I think it is perhaps the most powerful of the several Swift Boat ads we have seen. I don't know what their budget is, and I don't know how many times this ad will run. If you happen to see it stop for a minute and look at the face of each and every one of these men who served their country in Vietnam, and who now want the rest of America to know the truth about the John Kerry that they know. Watch online. READING ASSIGNMENTS Good news in Fallujah. Might as well read it here, you sure as hell won't see it in your newspaper. Despite America's successes around the world, the left continues with their
conspiracy theories, and Ann
Coulter has the full list. A group working for an Atlanta civil rights leader may have forged 3,000 voter registration forms. We can't talk about this though. That would make us racists, don't you know. You know that story Kerry tells about the time he flew an Israeli fighter jet? Zev Chafets has the facts.....because he was there. He also tells the rest of the story. You
gotta love this one. I know I do. How long before you have to endure closed
