Just a few random thoughts ... 'cause I can't help it. - I see that Jimmy Carter, the man who never met a
dictator he didn't like, has blasted Zell Miller for his speech at the
Republican National Convention. Carter says that Miller was "disloyal."
Disloyal to what? The Democratic Party? Leave it to Carter to put
loyalty to a political party above loyalty to one's country. By the way
... Carter should be hiding under a bed somewhere right now. That phony
election in Venezuela that Carter so quickly certified as honest and
above-board is now proving to have been a corrupt sham. But, then, Hugo
Chavez is a leftist thug, so just what did you expect from Carter?

- In Tucson, Arizona they're building new municipal
playgrounds. The playgrounds don't have swings. One federal agency
and one out-of-control law to blame. The Consumer Product Safety
Commission demands soft landing areas surrounding swings. At $14 a
square foot, the rubberized landing areas are too expensive. Sand is the
best option. Simple sand. But sand is a no-go under the Americans
with Disabilities Act. Wheelchairs don't move all that well in sand.
How long before the government has us pave beaches?

- Former Texas Governor Ann Richards is hanging out this
week at the same place that I'm hanging out this week. You can hear her
in the restaurant berating President Bush to her friends. Others in this
well-heeled crowd can be heard getting their own digs in. "I just can't
stand the way he swaggers!" I called the local country Republican Party
and had a "Bush 2004" t-shirt delivered and am wearing it proudly. We'll
see if anyone talks to me today. I'll report tomorrow.

- Metro Atlanta ranks 5th in the nation in road
congestion. Don't worry folks, help is on the way. The Windward Marta
rail station will open in 23 years. When that marvelous event happens I
may move back to the suburbs.
REBOOTING After the Democratic and Republican conventions and an
encounter with one Hurricane too many it's time to reboot ... and that's exactly
what I'm doing this week. Keep checking back with Nealz Nuze though
because my warped staff is going to be putting some of their comments on line,
the winsome Web Wench will undoubtedly find some interesting things to post, and
I won't be able to resist putting my own two cents worth in from time to time. RUSSIA RELEASES ISLAMIC TERROR VIDEO
So now we've seen the video. Russia released video taken from inside the
school where Islamic terrorists rounded up hundreds of innocent school children,
and then proceeded to slaughter the kids. Even though the media is trying
to hide the fact that these Chechnyan "separatists" are actually Arab
terrorists, the pictures don't lie.
So what do we see? The video shows hundreds of people (many of them
children) huddled in a gymnasium while these psychotic Islamic terrorists string
bombs all over the place. The broadcast on Russian television spoke of
more than 1,500 hostages, the first time they have admitted how big it all
was. Blood is show on the floor of the gym, apparently from a body being
dragged across the floor. Boy, those "rebels" really are just
misunderstood people...if only we were nice to them, maybe they wouldn't shoot
innocent children.
In an interview with a British newspaper, Russian President Vladimir Putin
exploded over the situation, apparently upset at the United States for granting
asylum to a Chechen separatist. "Why don't you meet Osama bin Laden,
invite him to Brussels or to the White House and engage in talks, ask him what
he wants and give it to him so he leaves you in peace?" Putin said
yesterday. Sounds about right. Terrorists are terrorists...and it's
time to exterminate them wherever they roam.
Hopefully Russia's response won't be one of appeasement. Doesn't sound
like it. Perhaps they'll retaliate without worrying about offending
anyone. Maybe they will understand that terrorism cannot be tolerated, and
they won't care what the rest of the "international community" (Old
Europe and the U.N.) has to say about it. People have a right to not stand
for their children being randomly shot dead by these bloodthirsty Islamic
killers.
They need to show those videos over and over and over again on television, all
over the world. It should serve as a reminder to all civilized societies
that all of these Islamic fascists should be eliminated. Not appeased, not
negotiated with, not understood, not arrested and not prosecuted, but
wasted. By the way, contrary to what the media says, this has
nothing to do with independence in Chechnya or anywhere, it's all about Islamic
terrorists doing what they do best: killing innocent people in the name of
Allah.
If I were Putin, I'd level the place. How's that for your "more
sensitive War on Terror," Mr. Kerry?
IRAQI WAR DEAD REACHES 1,000The latest headlines all over the various media outlets is that the United
States has now sustained 1,000 casualties in Iraq. One thousand!
What a huge number, right? Well not really, but more on that in a
minute. To hear the media tell it, you would think that 1,000 U.S. troops
just died yesterday. Of course, the truth is much different, but reporting
the truth doesn't help The Poodle, now does it?
Operation Iraqi Freedom is now only 18 months old. In that time, we have
liberated a country of 25 million people, overthrown a murderous regime and
installed an interim government. We have done all of this with the loss of
1,000 troops. While every lost life is tragic, that number is lower than
every single estimate that was made before the war. There were talking
heads predicting a loss of 10,000 U.S. lives during the invasion alone. So
we're supposed to believe that after a year and a half, only 1,000 is somehow a
failure? I think not.
Then you have morons comparing Iraq to Vietnam...which shows their
stupidity. 58,000 lives lost over the course of a decade is not the same
thing as Iraq. Besides...we've won the war in Iraq by every measure of
success.
But really, this has nothing to do with casualties, the war in Iraq, or Bush's
handling of it. This is just the media following their template...running
stories that hurt Bush in the hopes of electing The Poodle to the Oval Office.
MEDIA IN PANIC MODE....BUSH MIGHT WIN
After President Bush came out of the Republican National Convention with an
11-point bounce, the media went into panic mode. Why, it looks like George
Bush just might be re-elected! They can't have that, so now it's time to
knock Bush down a notch, and the media's Bush-bashing machine is getting fired
up.
First up, this idiotic nonsense about Bush's service in the Texas Air National
Guard 30 years ago. Seems like we settled this last election, but the
media and their masters at the DNC think they can get more mileage out of
this. Apparently more records have been found on Bush's whereabouts during
that time. The left is not satisfied...they're jumping up and down
screaming that there are still gaps. Well whoop-tee-doo. The
hypocrisy here is off the Richter Scale...shall we count the ways?
First of all, John Kerry has not released all of his military records. The
Poodle's campaign tells the lie that all of the records are posted on his
website, but they're not all there, nor have they ever been. Second, the
media never had a problem when Bill Clinton ran for office against two war
heroes with only a record of dodging the draft. At the time, John Kerry
even said that it didn't matter. Apparently military service only matters
when it's a Democrat we're talking about. Whatever.
Then, tonight on the CBS Evening Kerry, Dan Rather Biased will interview some
guy who claims he got Bush into the National Guard's "champagne unit"
for rich kids who wanted to avoid the draft. Never mind that the guy
making the accusation is a partisan Democrat...that doesn't matter. It's
Bush-bashing time!
Then there's this new Kitty Kelley trash book that is coming out, that will
accuse the president of using cocaine. How nice. Newsweek passed on
carrying excerpts from the book saying they "weren't comfortable with a lot
of the reporting." I am sure plenty of other media outlets won't have
a problem carrying it at all.
As The Poodle's chances continue to fade, look for an all-out assault on George
W. Bush. The Democrats have no real issues to run on, and it shows.
The zero hour is fast approaching, and they're getting desperate.

Alan Keyes has said that Jesus
Christ would not vote for Barack Obama. Well, If Christ is voting for

President Bush stands clear on the issues...but The Poodle's positions on the
issues are much murkier. James

away.
Jonah Goldberg says it's now turning into contempt for the voters, as

The media bias was on full display during the convention as liberal commentators
tried to hide their thirst for a Bush defeat. Of
course, they couldn't sneak anything past Brent Bozell, who has a full report.
If you believe the nation is at war against a serious enemy, then chances are
you'll vote for President Bush. If you don't believe there really is a war
on terror, then chances are you'll vote Democratic. Linda
Chavez explains.
