MORE
DEATHS IN IRAQ
And just what did you expect? Yes, today a couple of car bombs exploded
outside of a police station in Baghdad. At least 47 people were
killed. Partisans are going to blame the continuing violence on
Bush. That's easier than facing up to the realities of the situation. Iraq is months away from popular elections. Mullahs in Iran, the
leaders of Syria and the ruling family in Saudi Arabia are all watching with
great trepidation. A popularly elected government in Iraq is a threat to
them all. Many of the insurgents in Iraq have been shown to be imports
...crossing the border from Iran and Syria. I know it sounds trite .. but freedom isn't free. Americans have paid
the price many times over. Now Iraqis are. There are, however, many
people who don't want freedom ... they just want a dictator they can live
with. DNC
LIARS KEEP ON BASHING
Apparently the Democrats think they have discovered the key to The Poodle's
election, because now they are continuing to bash President Bush's service in
the Texas Air National Guard. Tired of hearing about this? You
aren't the only one...but they won't let it go, so here we are.
Drudge has a story that the Democrats are set to send out a press release
accusing the president of lying in 1978 when he ran for Congress.
"George W. Bush's campaign literature claimed that he 'served in the U.S.
Air Force.' The only problem? He didn't," thunders the
document. Well, the only problem with that is that George W. Bush did
indeed serve in the U.S. Air Force. Drudge also has a document
showing that the president was on active duty at an Air Force base for 120 days
in 1968. So much for that story.
Or maybe not. Expect the DNC to go ahead with their press release, which
supposedly also says "George Bush has a clear pattern of lying about his
military service. From 1978 to the present day, George Bush has refused to
tell voters the truth about his service. It's time for the President to come
clean." Oh really? Bush come clean about his military
service? And just when was it that John Kerry released all of his
military records .. .medical records included?
Oh .. that's right. He hasn't. The Souffle still hasn't released
all of his military records. This is nothing more than the Democrats
repeating a lie often enough in hopes that people will think it's true.
Pretty pathetic when you realize that they can't compete on the issues, so we
get this.
Expect the media to go along with it too. 120 days of active-duty Air Force
service will be downplayed as not really being in the Air Force, and the
hyper-leftists at the DNC will continue to demand the president "come
clean."
Such is their hatred for the president that they are now just making things up.
CBS
"EXPERT" SAYS WAIT A MINUTE
This is getting embarrassing. How long before CBS fesses up to knowingly
broadcasting fictitious documents? At what point does whatever shred of
credibility they have left go completely out the window? Well, they're not
done yet. This National Guard document business continues to get worse and
worse.
The expert that CBS retained to examine the documents has now come out and said
hey...wait a minute...I never really authenticated the documents. He says
all he authenticated was the signature. He says he made no attempt to
authenticate the documents. Now even the Washington Post has called them into
question.
Yet CBS continues to drink the Kerry campaign Kool-Aid. What they won't
reveal is where the documents came from. Since they are most likely
complete forgeries, where did they come from? CBS itself? Did some
enterprising producer trying to break a big story just make them up? Did
the DNC type them up in Microsoft Word, run them through the copier a few times,
then fax them to Dan Rather? Actually .. I think not. But I'm sure
the Kerry campaign wishes that this particular kafuffle hadn't come about.
People know the documents were forged, even if CBS won't admit it, and the
natural inclination is to look to the Kerry campaign for a source. CBS
needs to clear the air.
There is much, much more to this story. Stay tuned.
NORTH
KOREA NOT TESTING WEAPONS...UH-HUH
According to North Korea, a huge explosion there last week was not a nuclear
test, as some had suspected, but rather a demolition blast to make way for a
hydro-electric dam. Right...and John Kerry isn't the most liberal member
of the United States Senate, either. So why is the media believing North
Korea's explanation?
As you might expect, South Korea wasn't too pleased with the idea, so they were
questioning it first. Colin Powell says he doesn't think it was a nuclear
test...but how long are we going to wait for one? North Korea is
developing nuclear weapons, and probably has some already (thank you Bill
Clinton and Madeline Albright --- and a very special thanks to Jimmy Carter, the
man who never met a dictator he didn't like.) Are we going to let Mr.
Insane himself, Kim Jong-Il, off the hook whenever something comes up?
What happened to the "Axis of Evil?" Time to stop talking and
start acting against terrorist regimes with nuclear weapons.
READING ASSIGNMENTS
At least 17,000
passengers have filed complaints over baggage theft with the TSA. One
guy even lost his 75-pound Alaskan halibut.
Israeli Prime Minister Ariel
Sharon is talking about "removing" Yasser Arafat. Some say
that means he intends to kill Arafat. What's the hold up?
Confused about what The Poodle would do in Iraq if he were elected? So
is Mort Kondracke, who says confusion reigns over the issue when it comes to
the Democratic ticket.
The CBS National Guard documents are fakes...yet CBS continues to stand by
them. William
Safire takes a look at the issue.
The Democrats don't understand Zell Miller's speech to the Republican National
Convention because they just don't get it. Daniel
Sterman says it all comes down to one line in the speech about The Poodle.
Only black leaders with no regard for the facts are vilifying the GOP.
Alphonso Jackson explains, and also says Democrats have had the monopoly on
black votes for far too long.
Have the Democrats realized by now that The Poodle is an unusually bad
candidate?
They should, says David Limbaugh.
So what is behind Bush's recent surge? Matt
Towery says people are starting to come to their senses and realize that the
president is the best candidate to protect the public from terrorism.
With all of the hurricanes in Florida, you will hear a lot about
price-gouging. But what exactly is price-gouging, and if it isn't allowed,
then what are prices for in the first place? As
only he can, Thomas Sowell breaks it down.
By his obsession with Vietnam, The Poodle really missed out on one issue he
could have scored against Bush on: tax reform. Bruce
Bartlett explains the issue.
Still confused by John Kerry's stand on Iraq? So
is Rich Lowry, who attempts to explain it all. Atlanta listeners, check out the Boortzapalooza special Tuesday, September 14
at 10PM on WSB-TV Channel 2. Compare
the CBS National Guard documents yourself. [flash] Neal on CNN this morning with Carol Costello
