Brit Hume had a bit on his "Special Report" last night about a new television ad from Moveon.org, the 527 group financed by that shadowy Hungarian-born international financier who, by the way, hates George Bush. The television ad shows a picture of an AK47 automatic rifle. The ad says "This ... can fire up to 300 rounds a minute. ... In the hands of a terrorist it could kill hundreds ... But on September 13th George Bush will [have] let the assault weapons ban expire." Hume then points out that this particular gun has been banned in the U.S. since the Firearms Act was passed in 1934. They are banned today. You can't own one without a special and very hard-to-get permit from the feds. So, Moveon.org lied. But that's not the news here. We already know that Moveon.org lies in their PAC ads. The news here is that you heard about this from Fox News Channel. You can bet your right to Social Security payments (might as well bet something of no real value) that you would never see The New York Times, the Boston Globe, CBS, NBC, ABC or CNN ever report this particular story. Fox News did, and that's why liberals hate Fox News so much. Just reporting that Moveon.org has an adverse relationship with the truth is proof of bias.
From Joel Samuelson ... The official Neal Boortz Show editorial cartoonist.
The Federal Reserve Bank reported yesterday that U.S. household wealth reached a new record. Sadly, most of the people in this country received the totality of their economic education in government schools. They couldn't explain the difference between gross and net, they think that the government distributes wealth, and they believe that tax cuts are a "give-away." Because of this these poorly educated Americans will have no understanding what this new record in household wealth means. It means that you're richer, you fools! And guess what? John Kerry didn't do this for you! Wait! There's more! While The Poodle continues to bark about the
sagging economy, the net loss of
jobs and accuse President Bush of the excuse
presidency, the economy in the
United States continues to boom. First up,
let's look at the unemployment
rate, currently at a very low 5.4%. That's
lower than the average rate of
the 1970's, 1980's and 1990's. That's also
lower than it was when Bill
Clinton was re-elected over Bob Dole in 1996.
Funny...the media never
found unemployment high then, yet they're talking
about 5.4% not being very
low. Media bias at its finest. Let's review:
So what's the problem? Only a dishonest partisan hack determined to defeat the president for re-election could argue that the economy is anything less than robust. Looting was reported yesterday after Hurricane Ivan had it's way with the Florida gulf coast. Looters are scum. Looters deserve to die ... slowly. I submit to you the following proposal: In most states a property owner is limited as to the circumstances under which he can use deadly force to protect his property. I believe that these rules place too high a barrier to the use of deadly force. Let's say you earn $500 a day. You catch someone running from your home with a $500 watch. Can you use deadly force to stop him? Why not? He's taking one day of your working life away from you! So ... here's my proposal. Whenever the governor of a state declares that state to be a disaster area due to some form of natural disaster the laws pertaining to defense of property should change. If a disaster has been declared the homeowner or property owner should be allowed to use whatever force is necessary, including deadly force, to protect his property regardless of whether or not the person stealing his property presents a threat to his personal health or safety. This specifically applies to looters. Shoot the bastards ... let the hurricane wash them out to sea. OK ... cut off their hands. But NO government disability benefits!
Then the whole 'Mission Accomplished' thing?
The mission was to get rid
of Saddam Hussein. Mission Accomplished.
But ... the President never
said "mission accomplished." I'm
sure that disappoints the
bedwetters, but he never said it. What they're
referring to was a
banner hung up by the Navy, not the president or his
staff. Then it
says "yet almost every day more soldiers
die." Sorry, another
lie. Days have gone by without any loss of
life in Iraq. The Bush campaign immediately condemned the ad,
demanding it be removed, and
Bob Dole is also speaking out on the subject,
calling on John Kerry to demand
the ad be removed. Said Dole "I cannot
believe that John Kerry, who
reminds us daily of his Vietnam service, would
possibly approve the disgusting
and demoralizing portrayal of American soldiers
fighting for us in Iraq,
Afghanistan and around the world." Let's
all wait and see what The
Poodle does...I wouldn't hold my breath. It's all a pretty clever play on words.
"We've posted my military
records that they sent to me." And what
did they send to him?
The military records that Kerry requested. So
... the more accurate
statement would be "We've posted all my
military records that I asked
for." READING ASSIGNMENTS Will the source for Dan Rather's fake documents turn out to be a partisan Democrat? Bernard Goldberg says that should just about finish off CBS News. Will there be any kind of a going away party? OK ... I'm not sure what's in this book that is supposed to be so damaging to John Kerry, but you can click here to read The New Soldier, that book written by The Souffle before he was worried about getting votes. What have I been telling you about book store employees? Evidently Borders Book Store employees are unionized. Seems they've been bragging about hiding copies of "Unfit for Command."
Dan
Rather is admitting that the documents are
questionable, but the information
is correct. That's like saying a forged Mona
Lisa might not be authentic,
but it's the thought that counts. It just gets
deeper and deeper for Dan. A simple but effective anti-crime poster. WWL-TV has aerial shots of Ivan's devastation. | ||
