THE ASSAULTS ON BILL COSBY
The number is now at 13. That being the
number of women who have come forward in recent years to
claim that Bill Cosby
somehow molested them. So, is Cosby a serial sexual molester, or a
victim. Me? I don't have a clue whether he did these things or
not.
You can't help but feel that much of this is
punishment. Punishment for what? For speaking out, that's
what. For suggesting that many of the problems affecting black youth in
this country are based on black culture rather than white racism. The politically
correct among us know that there can never be any cause for any difficulties
suffered by America's black families that were not caused by white
racism. Bill Cosby should have learned to just be quiet. MOST BELIEVE MEDIA BIASED
For years many people have observed the overwhelming liberal bias displayed by the leftist mainstream media in this country. The media establishment's response has always been the same: to deny their
leftist bias. In fact, some have taken to calling the media "conservative" because of the dominance of Fox News on the cable dial. Of course, outside of their opinion shows,
none of my listeners have been able to detail any instance of conservative bias by Fox News.
The frustration among those who know better has been that the public would
believe the propaganda of the left when it comes to mainstream media bias. Well,
a new survey seems to demonstrate that the public is finally on to the press. A
national survey conducted by the Missouri School of Journalism Center for Advanced Social Research found that
85 percent say that news reporting is biased. 48 percent said the bias was liberal, 30 percent conservative, 12 percent said both and 3 percent was "other" (those must be the Nader voters.)
Still though, this represents a huge shift. Essentially, this survey shows that half believe what the rest of us have known for a long time: that the
mainstream media is overwhelmingly liberal, presents news stories that make conservatives and libertarians look bad and often presents only the leftist point of view.
Other results from the same survey: two-thirds says the media invades people's privacy too much and 75 percent said the news is too negative. No wonder newspaper readership is down and the big three's nightly newscasts continue to decline.
People are on to the media and this time, there's no turning back.
A SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS
How soon people forget. We are fast approaching the 4th anniversary of September 11, 2001. On that day, a bunch of bloodthirsty, violent, vicious Islamic hijackers ended the lives of 3,000 innocent people. The United States of America was attacked....the largest such attack on American soil. The United States did absolutely nothing to provoke the attack.
But
not if you ask actress Maggie Gyllenhaal, who appears in a new movie "The Great New Wonderful" which is about the aftermath of 9/11. She gave an interview last Friday in which she said the following:
"I think what's good about the movie is that it deals with 9-11 in such a subtle, open way that I think it allows it to be more complicated than just, 'Oh, look at these poor New Yorkers and how hard it was for them. Because I think America has done reprehensible things and is responsible in some way, and so I think the delicacy with which it's dealt allows that to sort of creep in."
That's right: your eyes do not deceive you. She said the United States is responsible for the attacks on 9/11. Typical liberal terrorist-appeasing
psychobabble. This is what we've all come to expect from the Blame America First crowd in Hollywood. Nothing new there. After all, we should listen to the terrorists...not punish them. Obviously they are kind people that did what they did for a good reason. There's no possible way any Muslim could be evil!
But the worst news is yet to come. Newsday did an online poll...not exactly very scientific, but they got thousands of responses. 42 percent agreed with Maggie Gyllenhaal, that the United States was responsible for the attacks of September 11th, and not the Islamic bastards that flew the airplanes into the buildings.
Score one for the liberal indoctrination in government schools.
And just what are these "reprehensible
things" that our country has done?
THE PATHETIC AL GORE
Remember Al Gore? He served in the House, the Senate and was Vice President of the United States for 8 years. He often looked like a robot on TV...yeah, that Al Gore. Anyway, after toiling away in the political wilderness since losing (and he did lose) the presidential election in 2000, Al is back in the news.
Gore is upset that the Republicans might change the rules in the Senate to allow a simple up-or-down vote on President Bush's judicial nominees. This is the so-called "nuclear option" that would eliminate the filibuster, which at present can prevent votes from taking place with just 41 members in opposition. Al Gore's statements on the issue sound like something straight out of the Michael Moore book of talking points:
"What makes it so dangerous for our country is their willingness to do serious damage to our American democracy in order to satisfy their lust for one-party domination of all three branches of government. They seek nothing less than absolute power."
Calm down, Big Al, just calm down.
Apparently Republicans winning elections and enacting the agenda upon which they ran is unacceptable to liberals like Al Gore. For a politician from a party that has been seeking absolute power through activist judges for decades to make these statements shows nothing more than absolute hypocrisy.
Or desperation...or whatever else it is that Al Gore stands for these days. READING ASSIGNMENTS
Liberal talk radio network Air America had a bit of excitement yesterday. One of their talk show hosts had to apologize for a skit about President Bush featuring gunshots.
The Secret Service was not amused. Was it a publicity stunt? You bet. Will it work? Probably not.
A diplomat at the center of the oil-for-food investigation has sent Kofi Annan a threatening letter warning him to pay his legal bills or else he'll spill the beans. Sounds like Kofi better pay up...otherwise we'll find out just what he's been up to.
Is John Bolton the right man to represent the United States at the U.N.? Thomas Boyd thinks so, and calls him
the right bull for the U.N. china shop.
Republicans don't have to make the choice between endless Democratic filibusters and the "nuclear option" of changing the rules.
Dick Morris says there's a third choice, one no one is really talking about.
Right now Washington D.C. is obsessed with either destroying Tom DeLay or defeating John Bolton's nomination to the United
Nations. Tony Blankley calls it political attention deficit disorder.
When Bob Dole was the Senate Republican leader, he didn't filibuster Bill Clinton's judicial nominees that he disagreed with, he put them through for an up or down vote.
Dole says the Democrats should do the same.
target="_blank">Moveon.org is taking over the Democratic
party, as evidenced by their staging of events with prominent Democratic members of Congress. Byron York explains how this has centrist Democrats worried...since Moveon.org's extremist views don't win too many elections.
Social Security reform is dead....at least if you ask CBS
News. The Media Research center reports on the liberal media's latest agenda.
Tom Coburn, the newest Senator from Oklahoma, is rattling cages in the Senate, and Robert Novak says they don't like it very much. In fact, the rest of the Senate has retaliated...by bringing ethics charges against him.
You won't believe
why.
It's exam week at Professor Mike Adams' university...and as usual, he's getting requests for special treatment from his students.
Adams has some most interesting responses to the begging. Morning Sickness: British teens having sex parties and
14-year-old contracts HIV. I guess girls stopped having cooties when they
starting giving lewinskys. |
