INCREDIBLE RADIO WEBSITE!

I was cruising around some of the websites for my affiliate radio stations last evening and happened on the site for my Houston affiliate, News Channel 97.5 FM.  Click here to see one incredible website!  Frankly, I'm jealous.  I wonder how much it would cost to have someone develop an introductory page like that for me!

THE STUPIDITY OF POLLS

Here's a new one from CNN/USA Today/Gallup. 1,003 Americans were interviewed by telephone and asked the following question:

"Which comes closer to your view about the war in Iraq: The U.S. will definitely win, the U.S. will probably win, or the U.S. will not win? "

49% said we will not win, 21% said we will probably win and 25% said we will definitely win.  So what does that mean?  Absolutely nothing.

The media conducts polls like this in order to create news.  To put it another way, they create the very news that they then cover.  Their goal is to ask certain questions a certain way so that they can present their political point of view, in this case a leftist, anti-war slant.  How can you tell?  Well, simple.  Why not ask people "Are we going to win the war in Iraq or not?"  Presented that way, more than half would probably agree we'd win the war.  But when CNN/USA Today/Gallup gives the three options, it makes them able to show a majority of people don't think we'll win the war in Iraq.  They also get the benefit of deducting the people who don't care or have no opinion from the total, further diluting the support for the war.

Now is a good time to point out that at no time during our Revolutionary War, from 1776 to 1783, were a majority of Colonists in favor of the war, nor did a majority think we would win.  Cogitate on that for a moment.

So many of today's polls are drafted to become simple liberal media propaganda.  Polls are a way for the press to create and shape the news out of thin air.  Oh, and why just 1,003 people?  Who gets asked?  Did anybody ask you?

TIME TO LET IRAN HAVE IT

The U.S. needs to do something about this fanatical Muslim crazy that's running things in Iran.  First it was him saying Israel needs to be wiped off the map.  Then he's refusing to stop the production of nuclear weapons.  At one point he called for the destruction of the United States.  Well, he's at it again.

Now he says the Holocaust is a "myth."  According to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad:  "Today, they have created a myth in the name of Holocaust and consider it to be above God, religion and the prophets."  He then goes on to say Israel should be moved to Alaska, Europe or Canada.  Now stop and think for just a moment.  It's easy to laugh at a nut job like Ahmadinejad, but this Islamic terrorist runs an entire country.  Iran is an oil-rich nation with plenty of money.  And they will soon have nuclear weapons.

Those nuclear weapons will be pointed at Israel, Iraq and the United States.  Are we going to allow that to happen?  What are we waiting for?  Another cease-and-desist letter from the UN?  The truth may be that the left and the Democrats have so weakened our will to fight --- our will to defend ourselves --- that we just might do nothing.  That will cost lives .. but the Democrats won't be there to take the heat. [archival documents regarding the Holocaust]

HANOI JANE WEIGHS IN

We haven't heard from Jane Fonda in awhile, but all that has changed.  She has apparently adopted the tactics of The Poodle.   Fonda came out recently and slandered U.S. troops by calling them all "killing machines."  Merry Christmas to you too, Ms. Fonda.

Said Hanoi Jane to the Washington Post, about the killing machines, who weren't killing enough, causing the Military to change procedures:  "When you put young people into an atrocity-producing situation where enemy and civilian are commingled, where the 'other side' is dehumanized, we cannot be surprised."  Boy, it sure would be nice to see proof of all the atrocities American troops are committing in Iraq.  Yet, for some reason, just like John Kerry and Vietnam...the evidence is lacking.

So what proof does she have of her theories?  She says she was in secret meetings with military psychologists.  What's next?  Jane Fonda on Al-Jazeera trading rocket launchers with Al-Qaeda?  Perhaps there's a role she could play in the next beheading video.

Remember:  the Mighty Jane knows all.  God, tat lady is disgusting.

READING ASSIGNMENTS

John Stossel correctly points out that those meeting in Montreal about global warming are actually meeting to decide how much of our freedom to take away.  He says they only thing green about the gathering is the envy.  Good column.

Major Ben Connable writes that he's happy to be going back to Iraq.  Shocked?  You shouldn't be.....he says things are going quite well there, despite what the media is "reporting."

Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said on 'Meet The Press' that not one Democrat wants us to fail in Iraq.  Tony Blankley takes exception.

Michelle Malkin takes on Kansas University religious studies professor Paul Mirecki.  She says it's perfectly legitimate to scrutinize his record, despite what the liberals say.

Linda Chavez has an enterprising idea.
Instead of buying somebody something for Christmas that they'll probably throw away or never use, how about making a contribution to a charity in their name?

Bringing the Sunnis and the Shiites to the table in Iraq so they can exist peacefully is the biggest challenge the Bush administration faces in Iraq, but as Terrence Jeffrey points out, it's not impossible.

Newsweek put a picture of George Bush on the cover inside a bubble and proclaimed the 43rd president of the United States was isolated.  Brent Bozell looks at Newsweek's real intentions.

With all the news surrounding Arnold Schwarzenegger's rejection of Tookie's request for clemency, Ben Shapiro has a better idea.  Let's get rid of executive clemency altogether.

It's time for a revolution in the Republican party...and John Goldberg has just the person to lead it.  Remember when the GOP stood for small government?  Those were the days.

Is the war in Iraq ultimately a lost cause because the American occupation has attracted foreign Islamic terrorists from around the world?  Gary Rosen looks at that argument.
