REDNECK SCRAP BOOK Maybe we should send these guys in to handle the insurgents in Iraq. More in the Redneck Scrap Book. READING ASSIGNMENTS Ann Coulter says the New York Times does the same thing the Bush administration does with regard to surveillance...but yet they do stories bashing the White House for wiretapping. Entertaining and interesting as always. Question: Why does the Times get the respect it does considering these instances of blatant bias? The head of the transportation unions in New York could face jail over refusing to end the strike. This could get very interesting. How about just firing all the workers for walking off the job? More and more people are beginning to figure out that the wiretapping controversy is a non-story. The reason? It's gone on before...it's nothing new. So much for the New York Times trying to drive down Bush's poll numbers. Speaking of surveillance, Britain has gone to a system where every car on the road is recorded into a central database and all movements are tracked. How do they do it? Cameras...everywhere. Welcome to the world of Big Brother. Newsweek is wondering why more Americans aren't outraged at the domestic spying the White House says it's been doing. Perhaps it's because people don't care if the NSA spies on Islamic terrorists. Just a thought. The Governor of Arizona has a point about building a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. She says "You show me a 50-foot wall and I'll show you a 51-foot ladder at the border. That's the way the border works." Good point. How about we throw in razor wire on top of the border fence and put gun turrets every 50 feet? That would handle the problem. The judge who resigned in a huff over George Bush's domestic spying has quite the history himself. Appointed by Bill Clinton, Judge James Robertson seems to have an evolving conscience. The Hildabeast is going to cruise to re-election in 2006....her only rival has thrown in the towel. Odds of anyone beating Hillary? About zero. Odds of her running for the White House? 100%. What that says about the people of New York state...who knows. Mark Davis says as long as it isn't abused, the wiretapping of potential terrorists actually seems like a good idea. Imagine if such wiretapping had prevented 9/11, for instance. The transportation union in New York is spoiled and is missing the point, reports New York Daily News Columnist Stanley Crouch. And he also says these aren't exactly skilled positions. Did you know some of the transit workers make more than cops and teachers? | ||
