THE KYOTO TREATY

For what has seemed like an eternity, the enviro-whackos have been jumping up and down screaming about  how the Bush Administration is doing nothing about global warming.  If only he would sign the much-vaunted  Kyoto protocol, that would make everything better, we're told.  But to this day, George Bush has refused to go along with it. 

Democrats, including The Poodle and Bill Clinton have pushed the Kyoto agreement.  Liberals talk about how our standing in the world is suffering because we won't go along with it.  After all, most other countries, including England,  have signed it. 

Just why do you think so much of the world wants the U.S. to sign the Kyoto treaty?  Because it would weaken the United States, that's why.  Remember, a recent European poll showed that 58% of Europeans wanted to see the United States weakened economically and militarily worldwide.  So .. on the one hand the world seems to want a weaker United States .. and that same world wants the U.S. to sign Kyoto.  Duhhhhhh.   Connect the dots people!

Yesterday, President Bush stepped out and said exactly why he has not obligated the United States to this disastrous nonsense environmental treaty.

Simply put, if the United States were to sign that agreement, it would destroy our economy.  "I couldn't in good faith have signed Kyoto," said Bush.  He also noted that China and India weren't part of the agreement...something you don't always hear about when the media talks about Kyoto.  Bush also pointed out the obvious real problem, saying candidly: "We're hooked on oil from the Middle East, which is a national security problem and an economic security problem."

He also said more study was needed to prove whether or not human beings cause global warming.  That's the kind of thing that causes anti-capitalist, environmental leftists to come completely unhinged.  Good.

THE TRUTH ABOUT THE INSURGENCY

The "insurgents" in Iraq, which the media love to characterize as some sort of internal Iraqi uprising against the American occupation, are not really that at all.  As many have been saying for quite some time, many of the so-called "insurgents" (the media's pet name for Islamic terrorists) are really jihadists trucked in from other countries like Syria and Saudi Arabia.  And yesterday, the government confirmed it.

According to U.S. and Iraqi officials, the vast majority of homicide bombers (most of the media calls them 'suicide bombers' as if they're only killing themselves,) are foreign fighters from other Gulf nations and even some from North Africa.  In other words, if they weren't coming from other countries, they wouldn't be there.

Once again, our enemy in Iraq continues to be radical Islamic terrorists.  We're not talking about disaffected Iraqis rising up against the United States.  These are the same vicious bastards we've been fighting since 9/11. 

The only thing that's changed is the address.

THE WHITE HOUSE AND THE STAMP

This is too bad.  Bowing to pressure from the race pimps, the White House has gotten into the act and yesterday condemned Mexico's Memin Pinguin postage stamp.  This stamp would certainly be bad news in America .. .but it is no big deal in Mexico. This Memin Pinquin thing, whatever it is, is just a Mexican folk cartoon figure. Big deal. According to the Bush administration, "racial stereotypes are offensive no matter what their origin."  A few points:

--It's just a postage stamp.  Don't people have better things to do?

--Mexico has a point when they say they don't get all worked up about Mexican stereotypes in American culture like Speedy Gonzalez.  What about the Taco Bell dog?  There has to be some racial insensitivity in there somewhere.

--Would we like it if Mexico told us what stamps we could and could not issue?  I doubt it.

So the clock is ticking...how long before the Mexicans fold and pull the stamps, apologizing to the United States and consenting to sensitivity training from Jesse Jackson?

The hypocrisy of the American people towards the 4^th of July

As long as you have the day off, who cares? It's sad to say, but that is the mind set of most Americans. You want your cake and to be paid for the day off, too. Do you really understand the sacrifices behind this patriotic day?

We The People claimed independence on July 4^th of 1776. Britain saw that the impending nation was thriving and wanted to tax the colonist. The Revolutionary War was fought by people trying to protect their hard earned assets and liberties. Thirteen of our colonies fought Great Britain to overthrow the British rule. The total number of patriots to lose their lives in this war was 4,435 , and even more were wounded.

We say we want our liberties protected, but what are we doing about it? We take it for granted. Sure, wedecorate in red, white and blue and wegrill out with the family, but do we actually celebrate our liberties and those who fought for it and are still fighting for it?    

Over the years we have had to protect thepeople. Without them there is no country. Individual liberty is not something we can take for granted. We elect officials to protect us and reinforce our rights. When they trod on our rights, it is our RESPONSIBILTY to make them correct their actions, but we cower, giving them god-like powers over us.We have officials trading in our individual freedoms, so we yell and call the radio stations, but ultimately we sit still. We sit on our hands and hope that the next group of "rulers" will fix things. That will only happen if we make sure to pick the correct ones, and make sure they know they are our representatives and not our rulers. We can only do that if we study their issues and vote. We can't just go by party lines. We must stand together to show our greatness and make a change.

We are currently being denied the right our fore-fathers gave their lives for! Finally I hear others speaking up; although it wasn't until their cake was being taken off of their plate. Since 1790, we have had a Supreme Court to enforce the Constitution. We currently have 9 Supreme Court justices who are appointed to interpret the Constitution, if need be. Their job is not to rewrite the Constitution.

So what is it they re-wrote, per se? The Fifth Amendment most recently, which says that private property is not to be taken for public use without just compensation. Who decides "just compensation?" The Fifth Amendment bars government from stealing personal property. So why is there even a need for compensation? If an owner says, "No, I don't want to give this to you no matter what," the courts shouldn't say, "Yes you must   and now that you have not complied, we are only going to give you fair market value" when the value may be far greater to you than strictly monetary.   That is not "just." "Just" is my grandfather selling his orange grove to Sunkist and them allowing him to gather and eat oranges for the rest of his life. Webster says that "just" is "conforming to a standard of correctness." What was correct was constructed, witnessed and signed on Independence Day. The courts have ruled us [in 1776]; now let them enforce it [in 2005].

READING ASSIGNMENT
 

Democrats said in response to the president's speech the other night that he lied to get us into war.  But David Limbaugh turns the tables...don't they mean he made a mistake?  And if that's the case, weren't we told during the Clinton administration that we should be tolerant and forgiving of Oval Office mistakes?

Hillary Clinton continues to try and pretend she's a conservative Christian.  Anything to win the real goal she's had all her life: the office of president of the United States.

Looks like Mark Felt denied being 'Deep Throat' to a jury, but withdrew the denial when he was reminded he was under oath.  Wonder why people didn't figure it out then?

By almost a 2 to 1 margin, voters disagreed with Jeb Bush in the Terri Schiavo matter.  And he can expect to answer for that for the rest of his political life.

The Democrats and the media would have you believe there is no connection between Saddam Hussein and 9/11.  But there is plenty of evidence that Iraq under Hussein was a safe haven for terrorists.

The American left, along with various Euro-weenies, insist the prison at Gitmo is something like a Gulag or a concentration camp.  The only problem with that?  People were killed in those places, and nobody has died at Gitmo, says Max Boot.

Liberals and the press are criticizing George Bush for talking about 9/11 in his Iraq speech the other night.  Byron York says he should talk about that day as much as possible, because people need to be reminded.

Think you home is your castle?  Debra Saunders reminds everybody...your home could be Pfizer's castle.  Thanks to the recent Supreme Court decision, there's nothing to keep  your city or town from taking your house and making it the next Wal-Mart.  Or corporate office.  Or strip mall.  Or whatever.

Democrats blasted Bush for mentioning 9/11 in his speech, and the mainstream media played right along with it.  The Media Research Center reports.

Bill Cosby is under fire because he has dared to criticize some in the black community.  Brent Bozell looks at the war the media is waging against America's favorite TV Dad.
