There was, of course, more Karl Rove coverage on the tube this morning. One CNN reporter referred to Rove and "his role in outing a covert CIA agent." Hold on a moment. Either I've missed something here, or someone is assuming facts not in evidence. So ... just to straighten me out, would someone, somewhere please tell me who has said that Valerie Plame was an undercover CIA agent ... other, that is, than the media and her husband Joe Wilson? Look ... I know that the media says that Plame was an undercover CIA agent .. but this is the same media that wants Rove's head on a stake. The official line seems to be she had a desk job at the CIA at the time all of this happened. There were many people in Washington, including reporters, who knew that Wilson's wife worked for the CIA. One key provision of
the law Rove is alleged to have broken states that to be a covert agent, a
person must have been doing work in the field sometime in the last 5 years. It
turns out Valerie Plame may have already been outed over a decade ago....by
Aldrich Ames, the turncoat spying for the Soviets back in 1994. She was brought
back to the states and given a desk job at the CIA. Apparently she also came
and went in public. So even if Rove had named her, he wouldn't have broken the
law. But the special prosecutor says Rove isn't the target. Dead end for the
Democrats on that one.
Wouldn't it be nice if the Democrats and the media would worry as much about government over-spending and winning in Iraq as they do about trying to claim a trophy kill in the White House?
Authorities in England
have raided some homes and the identities of 3 of the 4 bombers involved in the
London train and bus massacre have been identified.
Who are they? Well, if you
listen to some of the media, they're trying to spin this as these killers being
"home-grown terrorists." They were British citizens, after all. But a more
thorough review of the facts reveals: It's Los Angeles again. A man comes out of his house blazing away at police ... trying to kill cops. He's holding his infant daughter in his hands. The police fire back, and the little girl is killed .. by a police bullet. Now it's all the fault of the police. This Los Angeles event is nothing less than a tragedy that is being exploited by the cop-hater crowd for their own benefit. It was the girl's father, Jose Pena, who takes the blame here. Thankfully, he's dead also. Pena set the chain of events in motion, not the police. Nobody in their right mind can expect the police to just sit there and let this goon advance on them firing his weapon without a response. In the meantime ...
practitioners of the wonderful, peaceful religion of Islam continue to
intentionally, and with premeditation, kill children in Iraq. Their own
children. The idiots protesting in Los Angeles seem to have nothing to say
about that. (Yesterday I asked our intern, Heather Jackson, to share her thoughts on the war on drugs.) It's just you against yourself. The war on drugs is a war of stupid people against themselves. This is one topic that I whole heartedly agree with Neal on. Go ahead and legalize it. Then allow the drug addicts to get their fill and either we can hope that they become sterile before they have children or they will OD and rid the world of a few more stupid humans. I don't want my tax dollars to go to them at all! I just don't want my money to support their ER visits for their own carelessness, their jail time or their welfare . Most of all, they sure as hell better not injure me, costing me for their lack of responsibility and self control. My generation may not be as carefree and spirit-filled as the flower children of the 60's , but they aren't as prudish as my parents' generation tends to be either. High school in the mid-90's was nowhere near as casual about drug use it is now. Heck, even elementary schools endorse drugging children nowadays; and are 3 year olds on Prozac really any better than 24 year olds on crack? My friends didn't start experimenting until well after high school, but now it is commonplace to learn of 5th graders high on marijuana. Kids are the main concern when it comes to ending drug abuse. They tend to have a sense of immortality and you can't really scare them by telling them the fire is hot. They sometimes try to touch it in order to understand. Shielding children (with the exception of educating them) from drug use should remain a high priority of all responsible parents. Alcohol is a much deadlier and wide spread drug than most street narcotics. However, alcohol has always been legal and acceptable, other than a brief period of prohibition. It's possibly only a matter of time before street drugs are as legal and accessible as beer. I know plenty of people who would vouch that marijuana is not a gateway drug . Most of these people have never tried anything else. My biggest reason for not using drugs is responsible time and money management. If you try a drug and you like it, then you will waste your money to do it again. BUT if you try it and hate it, then what was the point to begin with? The drug induced hang over usually over shadows the previous night's high. Be Clark-Smart: save money, time and valuable brain cells. Ignorance can still be bliss. REDNECK SCRAP BOOK I'm sure this ferris wheel is completely safe...more fun in the Redneck Scrap Book. READING ASSIGNMENTS
Ann Coulter breaks down the entire Valerie Plame affair
and brings all back around to the real scumbag in all of this: Joseph Wilson.
Even prescription drugs can run your pocket dry. Parkinson's and Gambling... yeah, I didn't see the connection either, but this totally clears it up. Dayum, how addictive are these things !! At least he didn't drive himself home. An old man shot 2 young whipper-snappers when they broke into house. Another ridiculous law: Car-pooling in Paris will get your car impounded . So... are they to walk-pool now? What do you do with 400 bags of silicone? Is it really that big of a seller on the black market? And yet this is another reason to be free to choose your own doctors. This is why we have free speech. Is this NOT the craziest lawsuit? Now you are not allowed to count in French. O....k... Sellout: (noun) 1: to dispose of or manage for profit instead of in accordance with conscience, justice, or duty. 2: To deliver or give up in violation of duty, trust, or loyalty. 3: A deliberate deception. 4: To fail to value properly. 5: to persuade or influence to a course of action or to the acceptance of something. So where is her picture???? | ||
