UPDATE
When I hit the computers this
morning for show prep, there was an email from Sean Hannity waiting for John
Linder and myself. Right now The FairTax Book is running Number 1 in nonfiction books on Amazon.com.
Among all books we're number 3. This is incredible. Sean's message
said that we have a good shot at No. 1 on the New York Times nonfiction
bestseller's list .. .thanks to you folks. Remember ... if you don't order

THE LEFT Well .. the Democrats have finally come out with
their
grand and glorious idea on Social Security reform. They call it "Amerisave"
Basically here's what you have. If you are in the low or middle income
groups -- the Democrat's favorites -- you will get matching funds for every
additional dollar, beyond your Social Security taxes, that you invest for your
retirement. Where do those matching funds come from? Why, increased
taxes, of course! Where else! Increased taxes on high-achieving
Americans. What a plan! You take money away from people who
don't generally vote for you and give it to people who do generally vote for
you, and you call it Social Security reform! And how much money?
Original estimates are around $75 billion for ten years. That, of course,
will turn about to be hugely underestimated. In every election cycle the
Democrats will come forward and promise that if you'll just vote for them they
will take more money from the evil rich and add it to the retirement accounts of
lower and middle-income Americans. Amerisave is a vote-buying plan. Nothing less. Oh .. and just what will the government be doing with the
surplus Social Security taxes ever year? The same thing our government has
been doing for every year out of the past 40+. They will take that money
and spend it on yet more vote-buying programs, and in return they will put
another IOU into that filing cabinet in West Virginia. This is a policy
the Democrats started decades ago .. and one they are defending to the death
today. In a nutshell .. instead of letting you keep that money that
you earned and put it in a private account that you control for your retirement
... it will be seized and spent. Business as usual from the left. TONY
BLAIR GETS IT RIGHT
 British Prime Minister
Tony Blair's speeches and response to the attacks on his country by Islamic
terrorists have been right on target. In fact, the Democratic party here in the
United States could take a few lessons from Blair. Just take a look
at
some of his most recent statements yesterday about the London train and bus
bombings:
"Let us expose the
obscenity of these people saying it is concern for Iraq that drives them to
terrorism. If it is concern for Iraq, then why are they driving a car bomb into
the middle of a group of children and killing them?"
Exactly. But you see, to
the left in this country and elsewhere, all terrorism everywhere is the result
of our invasion of Iraq. Why...if we had just not set foot in Baghdad 2 1/2
years ago, none of this would be happening! Not even 9/11! Never
mind that Islamic terror attacks have been going on against the United States
for decades, with us doing little or nothing about it. Not this time.
We're always told by the
Democrats that our standing in the world has suffered at the hands of the Bush
administration, that the goodwill we received after 9/11 is now gone. Doesn't
look that way from another of Tony Blair's statements, also from yesterday:
"Whatever excuse or
justification these people use, I do not believe we should give one inch to
them, not in this country and the way we live our lives here; not in Iraq; not
in Afghanistan; not in our support for two states, Israel and Palestine; not in
our support for the alliances we choose, including with America."
He also made a statement
that could apply to quite a few people in this country: "September 11 for me was
a wake up call. Do you know what I think the problem is? That a lot of the world
woke up for a short time and then turned over and went back to sleep again."
People have already forgotten about 9/11 and it will probably take another
attack for the public to wake up.
Perhaps Europe is finally
getting the message that the appeasement route doesn't work. Now if only we
could convince the left in this country.
LEAKING DOUBLE STANDARD
In all the debate about
the non-story involving the leak of Valerie Plame's identity and the bashing of
Karl Rove, one person has been strangely silent. We haven't heard too much from
The Hildabeast. Well, now we know why.
Do you know what happened
to the only person ever successfully prosecuted for leaking classified material
to the media? He was pardoned. Yup..you guessed...by Hillary's husband,
President Bill Clinton. As part of his last-minute pardons the day before he
left office, Clinton gave a free pass to Samuel Morison. Morison was found
guilty of passing classified satellite photos to a British newspaper. The CIA
was vigorously opposed to the pardon. Clinton did it anyway.
Now...will you hear any
mention of this pardon in the mainstream media? Don't hold your breath. They
will continue to advance the lie that somehow Karl Rove actually did something
wrong and should be fired. They will continue to try and convince you that
Valerie Plame was a covert agent, and that Rove actually used her name, none of
which is true.
The non-story continues,
and we'll continue to hear more and more about it. LET'S REVISIT FRANK RANELLI'S LETTER Yesterday I showed you a letter from one Frank J. Ranelli
to the Naples Daily News. I asked that you read the letter and have
yourself a good chuckle. Well, as you can see, I have re-posted Ranelli's
letter on today's Nuze. I the second box I have posted the contents of a recent
email from Democrats.com to Democrats such as Ranelli across the country.
Now ... just read and compare. As you can see, Frank Ranelli is another
"cut-and-paste" Democrat who seems to have a bit of trouble expressing his own
thoughts. First ... Ranelli's letter | Time's up Editor, Naples Daily News: Thanks to the Downing Street Memos, we now
know President Bush's invasion of Iraq in 2003 was based entirely on lies.
Iraq had no stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction or al-Qaida ties,
and Bush knew it. Bush had no plans to rebuild Iraq after his
invasion, but to build permanent bases there to control the oil fields for
his own profits and corporate backers. Two years later, Iraq is a bloody
quagmire and in utter chaos. Because of these huge costs, a $200 billion
deficit and counting, the majority of Americans now oppose the war. But
Bush unyieldingly refuses to admit his mistakes or discuss a timetable for
withdrawal, ignoring a request by 82 Iraqi members of Parliament and 123
members of Congress! In addition, Bush and his neocon,
conservative Republican pals in Congress have taken away many of our
freedoms, including the passing of the Patriot Act. This unconstitutional
act that directly violates the Fourth Amendment, includes a "sneak and
peek" clause that allows the FBI to enter your home, without a warrant,
search it, remove items and not even tell you they were there or why! Think about it. Is this the type of
president we want representing "we, the people" as the Constitution
mandates; or do we want someone in the White House who is honest, working
for the common good and not wealthy corporate America and his own personal
agendas and religious beliefs? It's time we all wake up and demand change!

- The war has tripled global terrorism, not reduced it
- Military retention and recruitment are down, making America weaker
Because of these huge costs, the American people now oppose the war by
59%-39%. But George Bush stubbornly refuses to discuss a timetable for
withdrawal - ignoring a request by 82 Iraqi Members of Parliament! On Thanksgiving Day 2003,
Bush snuck into Iraq to deliver a fake turkey to our troops. On
Thanksgiving Day 2005, Bush should end his "turkey" of a war by starting

I wonder how many other newspapers in this country printed
a letter from some cut-and-paste Democrat from these very same talking points
