NO CONNECTION ... MY A$$

More thoughts about the president's speech at Ft. Bragg on Tuesday evening.  Amazingly, the left now seems to have developed a new rule.  The president is not allowed to mention the terrorist attacks of 9/11 when talking about the war in Iraq.

OK .. here's what's at work here.  The left knows that the American people still harbor harsh feelings toward the Islamic terrorists who killed 3000 of their countrymen on 9/11.  The left also knows that the American people will not have any kind feelings toward anyone with any connection, no matter how tenuos, with the perpetrators of the 9/11 attacks.  Since the left is placing its hopes on any possible electoral gains in 2006 to discrediting Bush's actions in Iraq, they know that they must stand steadfast in their battle to use whatever means necessary, even lies, to make sure that nobody -- and certainly not the president -- is allowed to connect Iraq and Saddam Hussein with Osama bin Laden or Al Qaeda.

The truth is that there is no shortage of evidence that there were contacts between Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden.  We'll detail some of those associations on the air today ... but if you can't listen to the program here's one source you might want to take a look at.  It's an excellent article appearing on the online edition of  National Review Andrew McCarthy makes the case that "It's All About 9/11"  Yes, there's a link there .. but I would not recommend this article to any of you leftists out there who can't handle the truth about this matter.  There's also an excellent editorial on the National Review website, "The Day that Binds" which puts forth the premise that you simply cannot make the case for the removal of Saddam without reference to 9/11.

The troubling question here is in light of all of the documented evidence that there were contacts between Iraq and Al Qaeda .. and the evidence that some of Saddam's henchmen might have participated in the early planning of the 9/11 attacks, why do so-called "journalists" will actually write or state things like "everybody knows that there was no connection between Iraq and Al Qaeda" or "It's been proven that there was no connection between Saddam Hussein and 9/11?  These people have access to the same information that I do or that you do .. information that shows those connections.  They can't plead stupidity.  The information is out there.  It's in the report from David Kay.  It's in the 9/11 Commission report ... it's there, yet it's existence is continuously denied by so many in the mainstream media.  Why?

Well ... let's try to answer the "why."  As I said, it can't be ignorance.  So what's at work here? How about bias?  Could it be that these "journalists" are consciously practicing the "big lie" technique?  Even though they know better, do they constantly make absolute statements such as "Everybody knows that there's no connection between Iraq and Al Qaeda" in an attempt to convince the American people of something that they know full well isn't true?  And why would they do that?  To carry forth an anti-Bush Administration agenda?

You figure it out .. .then let me know.

NEW IRAN LEADER FOUND OUT

73-year-old retired Army Colonel Charles Scott opened up his newspaper the other day in Jonesboro, Georgia and saw the newly elected president of Iran.  Colonel Scott instantly recognized Mahmoud Ahmadinejad:  he was one of the leaders who held seized the U.S. embassy in Iran in 1979 and held Americans hostage there.  To quote Colonel Scott: "As soon as I saw his picture in the paper, I knew that was the bastard.  He was one of the top two or three leaders.  The new president of Iran is a terrorist."

Other former hostages have made the same identification.  One former captive recalls the now president-elect of Iran saying "You shouldn't let these pigs out of their cells," referring to Americans being held hostage.  How nice.  All of this should serve as a reminded.  We are engaged in a War On Terrorism.  Specifically, that war is against radical Islam.  Iran is another enemy in that war, and is one we have yet to deal with.

Soon, Iran is going to have a nuclear weapon.  They may already have it.  That weapon is or will be capable of reaching Israel or even further.  Are we going to allow it?  Will we let Iran threaten the world?  The fact that we now know the true identity of who is running things should make that decision a lot easier.

BILL COSBY ON THE WARPATH

Bill Cosby has, of late,  been the subject of many personal attacks over alleged affairs he did or did not have.  All of this came out only after he dared to criticize the victimology being peddled to the black community by the race pimps.  Cosby actually said people should be responsible for their own actions.  Imagine that!

The good news?  Cosby isn't backing down.  The Cos says he's going to continue pursuing his activism despite the attacks on his character.  He was asked in an interview that aired yesterday if he thought any mistakes he may have made will disqualify him from speaking out about the failures of others.

His reply? "I couldn't care less what you think of me as long as you begin to execute that which will save your children."  The only question now is whether or not people will listen.

They should.

A LITTLE MEXICAN INSENSITIVITY

It would seem that the scourge of political correctness has yet to make it's way down south of the border.  First, you had Mexican President Vicente Fox daring to suggest that Mexicans will do the work that blacks in this country won't.  The race warlords in America were up in arms, demanding an apology.  Jesse Jackson will no doubt be sent to Mexico City to engage in sensitivity training.

Well, the latest uproar is over a series of stamps issued yesterday by the Mexican government.  They show a black cartoon character called "Memin Pinguin."  Black leaders in the United States were outraged!  Jesse Jackson called it offensive.  The NAACP called it a stereotype.

A spokesman from the Mexican embassy got it right in his response: "Just as Speedy Gonzalez has never been interpreted in a racial manner by the people in Mexico. . . He is a cartoon character. I am certain that this commemorative postage stamp is not intended to be interpreted on a racial basis in Mexico or anywhere else."

Everyone in the world is going to begin to think we in the United States are a bit thin-skinned. They may be right.

READING ASSIGNMENTS

Stephen Gordon has a good idea.  Since five Supreme Court justices and that developer in New London, Ct. are so anxious to get their hands on our dirt, let's send them some dirt! You know ... I think I'm gonna do it!

Wall Street Journal Editorial:  Wouldn't it be nice to have some actual constructive opposition to our efforts in Iraq ... or a change?

Do we, as Johah Goldberg suggests, really believe that the only good Constitution is a dead Constitution?

To put the Supreme Court's recent decision on The Ten Commandments into perspective, Ann Coulter offers some other interesting uses the government has had for your money when it comes to free speech.

Happy birthday to Thomas Sowell, who is 75 years young today.  He takes a look at the changes in the world that have occurred during his lifetime.

New London, Connecticut residents plan to rally against the local government that wants to take away their houses and give the land to Pfizer.  The immigrant owners of a strip mall in another town that's being taken away say it reminds them of the communism they left behind.

Despite her attempts to intimidate media outlets, Ed Klein's book about Hillary Clinton is debuting at #2 on the New York Times bestseller list. Among the many revelations in the book: "Hillary never wanted to be a wife.  She wanted to be a president."  Sounds about right.

In other Hildabeast news, she's complaining that the Pentagon
is trying to recruit people to join the Military around high schools, and she wants them to be restricted. At least now we know how she really feels.

Dick Durbin's remarks on the Senate floor did not escape the watchful eye of Zell Miller, who had plenty to say about it.

A widow whose husband was killed in Iraq told George Bush in a private meeting at Fort Bragg the other night not to pull the troops out before the job is done.  Think you'll hear much about this in the mainstream media?  Probably not.

President Bush reminded people what the War On Terror was really about: a war against the Islamofascists that slaughtered 3,000 Americans on September 11, 2001.  Andrew McCarthy has more.

George Bush has fallen in the polls because he has stopped campaigning and retreated into the government.  Dick Morris wants to know where the Bush that won reelection is at.

The mainstream media, particularly CNN was most distressed by Bush's speech on the Iraq war.  The Media Research Center reports. Oh, and David Gergen was offended. Too bad.

THE FAIRTAX BOOK

We're trying to push The FairTax Book hard on Amazon.com.  Two weeks ago we were doing spectacularly on Barnes & Noble.com.  We even went to first place on their bestseller's list for a short while.  Amazon.com has now brought their price down in line with that of Barnes & Noble.  The truth of the matter is that the publishing and bookselling folks pay more attention to what happens on Amazon.com than to other on-line book sellers.  Our rating on Amazon.com will have a direct affect on the number of books ordered by various booksellers.  So ... if you're planning to order a copy of The FairTax Book, NOW would be a good time.  We started out yesterday unranked on Amazon.com.  Last night we were number 11.  Let's see how much further we can move up the "bestsellers" list.  Here's your link.  You know what to do!  Let's get this book into the Top 10! And thanks.  No ... really!  Thanks.  We mean it!
