OK ... now the "parasites-with-attorneys" bit is posted on the Nuze, and that makes it part of the Boortz lore. In the years to come "reporters" will quote that "parasites-with-attorneys" line to show that I am someone who should be ignored, if not reviled. But let's take a look at the definition of parasite from dictionary.com. "Parasite: One who habitually takes advantage of the generosity of others without making any useful return." Well, there you go! Could it be any more succinct? For many, not all --- but many of these evacuees living in these hotels has become a way of life. It doesn't matter whether it's tomorrow, next week, or two years from now, they will resist when the order comes for them to quit sponging off the American taxpayers and give self-sufficiency a try.
George Bush failed to address the problem appropriately yesterday, but this
isn't strictly a George Bush issue. There is absolutely no willingness on the
part of either political party to crack down on illegal immigration. There are
simply too many votes to be had in the Hispanic community. So as a result, our
security as a nation is threatened and our cities and states are overrun with
illegal aliens. California Congressman Randy "Duke" Cunningham held a press conference yesterday and announced he would be resigning from Congress and he apologized for taking bribes from defense contractors. Apparently he thought nobody would notice his mansion, yacht and Rolls Royce on a $160,000 a year salary. Not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. He's facing a maximum of 10 years in the slammer with sentencing scheduled for February 27, but you can bet he'll do nowhere near that amount of time. He's obviously cut a deal and he'll get a reduced sentence. House Minority Leader and aging San Francisco hippie Nancy Pelosi immediately jumped all over the announcement, saying the whole thing "is just the latest example of the culture of corruption that pervades the Republican-controlled Congress, which ignores the needs of the American people to serve wealthy special interests and their cronies." Oh really. Cunningham deserves to go straight to the slammer...but those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Are we supposed to believe there is no corruption on the other side of the aisle? Would Nancy Pelosi like for people to recount the Democratic scandals over the years? Just how many Clinton associates were convicted of corruption? What about the Clinton pardons? Do we need a refresher course on Whitewater and Casa Grande? How about James Traficant....the former Democratic congressman currently sitting in a prison cell for bribery, racketeering and tax evasion? There's plenty to go around. And watch the media on this one. They will go out of their way to point out that Cunningham is a Republican, yet would bury the party affiliation were he a Democrat.
Ted Turner is at it again. He took time out from flipping bison burgers the other day to regale us with his opinions on the war in Iraq. According to Ted, Iraq is not better off without Saddam Hussein. This should come as no surprise. As we have since found out, Saddam Hussein was quite the buddy of CNN for a long time. The TV network that Ted started did their best to hide Saddam's atrocities in exchange for media access. With their sugar daddy sitting in prison, they no longer have the edge. But what has to be most depressing to Ted is that Iraqis are now living in freedom. They now have more clean water, electricity and schools than they did before the war. There have been elections. A Constitution has been drawn up. We have won the war. I guess we should cut Ted a break.....he hasn't been this depressed since the Berlin wall fell and the Soviet Union broke up. Oh, and somebody should ask him if Iraqi women were better off being raped by the Fedayeen. Perhaps what Ted meant to say was that CNN was no better off now than it was when Saddam was in power. That might be quite a bit more accurate!
REDNECK SCRAP BOOK Aww, isn't this sweet? Do you think she said yes? More in the Redneck Scrap Book. READING ASSIGNMENTS The Spanish weasels are selling military hardware to Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez, and the U.S. is threatening to block the deal. Time to put the screws on. How about we put the Miami PD in charge of cracking down on illegal immigration. They're going to be staging surprise raids of hotels, banks and other places...looking for illegals. The Liberal government in Canada has gotten the boot...elections will be held early next year. Looks like the conservative party could come to power. Imagine that! The Poodle is up to his old tricks again. He's accusing the Speaker of the House of calling John Murtha a coward, which never took place. London is gearing up to host the Olympics...and Mark Steyn explains to the city that they'll be paying for it for decades to come. Oh, and the Muslims are building a huge mosque next to the new Olympic stadium. David Limbaugh reports on the latest college to ban religious freedom. In case you're wondering who it is, it's the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire. In today's column, Professor Mike Adams tries to understand feminists. He says the only people who take them seriously are other feminists. He also talks about naked women playing paintball, so you won't want to miss this one. Democrats and the media continually push the idea that 'Bush lied' about the war in Iraq. Cal Thomas says that isn't so, but he does say the Bush administration is responsible for their own declining poll numbers. George W. Bush recently met with the South Korean president to showcase our long-standing alliance with that country. South Korea responded by withdrawing its troops from Iraq. Doug Bandow calls South Korea a welfare queen on the State Department's payroll. The income tax is undermining the U.S. economy. So, why can't we get rid of it? Answer: Power. The income tax code is a power base for politicians and a gold mine for lobbyists. When are the people of the United States going to be heard? | ||
