The Brits have identified 19 of the Islamic terrorists who had been plotting to blow up as many as ten airliners over the Atlantic ocean. Let's see now: What do we have here! Why ... and I hope you're sitting down here, because this is certainly very shocking --- every one of the 19 people who have been arrested thus far were men. They were all younger men, anywhere from 17 to 35 years old. Oh ... and every one of them had a Muslim name. Many of these terrorists were British born. British citizens. Most of these are believed to be children of Pakistani immigrants. So, there's that European problem with Muslim immigration raising its ugly head again. Reports are that two of these bums were converts to Islam. What else stands out here? Well, there were no 78-year-old blue-haired grannies on the list. There were no families traveling with children. There were no young mothers with children in tow. There are many absurdities in the way we are trying to keep Islamic terrorists (remember, "terrorists" is only half a word) off airplanes. I remember one particular DEA agent who was allowed to board a commercial flight in the U.S. with his gun ... but not before the security official confiscated his nail clippers. Our enemies here are intelligent and cunning. When we refuse to profile at airport security points we look stupid and vulnerable.
Ill-advised? How can a term that is so fundamentally correct be
"ill-advised?" Since when does speaking the truth require restraint? Just about every
terrorist attack in the last 30 years has been committed in the name of
Islam. That's their public relations problem, not ours.
Yesterday morning, hundreds of lives-- maybe thousands -- were saved, many of them innocent American lives. It should be a time of great relief....of gratitude toward the British government for foiling the plot along with anybody else who contributed. Politics should be the last thing on anyone's mind. But not the leaders of the 2006 Democratic Party. Oh no. Enter Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, intrepid leaders of the left side of the aisle in the Congress. They issued a statement: "Today's news is an urgent reminder that we must make America safer and the world more stable. We must implement the strong recommendations of the independent 9/11 Commission to improve airport security screening at checkpoints." Fine. Nothing wrong with that. They could have left it at that. But oh no....they couldn't. Because you see, Democrats (except Joe Lieberman and Ed Koch) have an addiction. That addiction is called Bush-bashing. It has no known cure. They can't stop. So just as the next 9/11 is thwarted, the Democrats decided to take shots at our commander-in-chief. Harry Reid said "This latest plot demonstrates the need for the Bush administration and the Congress to change course in Iraq and ensure that we are taking all the steps necessary to protect Americans at home and across the world." Ahh yes...they can't let go. So to sum it up, the foiled terrorist attacks yesterday happened because of George W. Bush, just like everything bad that happens everywhere. Blame it on the administration. Typical. I suppose the appeasement party thinks that these attacks would not have
happened if Saddam Hussein had still been in power. REDNECK SCRAP BOOK We're starting to assemble quitetheassortmentofredneckmailboxes. Here's the latest. More in the Redneck Scrap Book. READING ASSIGNMENTS For the listener who complained that we never show dignified African Americans on boortz.com, we present the Dignified African American Male Gallery Charles Krauthammer says Democrats who think Ned Lamont's victory in Connecticut is some sort of anti-war victory against Bush need to brush up on their history. He says this is the Vietnam template in action that left Democrats in the political wilderness for decades. So how is the Muslim community faring these days in the court of public opinion? A new Gallup poll says that 4 in 10 Americans admit being prejudiced toward Muslims. Gee, I wonder why? That same amount think Muslims should be required to carry a special ID. Ouch. Dr. James Dobson issued a statement condemning Mel Gibson's remarks, but asks the question: aside from apologizing profusely, what else is Gibson supposed to do? He doesn't live in Connecticut and he's not a Democrat, but columnist Christopher Ruddy says he will be making a donation to Joe Lieberman's independent Senate campaign. Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich has some advice for Israel. The plan should be to destroy the enemy, not contain it. If only the Bush Administration would subscribe to this theory. Former New York Mayor Ed Koch, always one to speak his mind, says George W. Bush and Tony Blair deserve credit for standing with Israel in its fight against Hezbollah. The same cannot be said for various other Euro-weasels. This latest terror plot involving Pakistani Muslims in Britain is exposing a larger problem, says Stephen Schwartz. It turns out the million or so Pakistani Sunnis in Britain are some of the most radical Muslims in Europe. This week Thomas Sowell has been carrying a series of columns on the proliferation of studies and what they report. He has found that you can make any study say whatever you want. Today he weighs in with the third installment in the series. Ann Coulter weighs in on Joe Lieberman's defeat in Connecticut and opines about what did him in. She also says Democrats don't oppose the war on terror because they hate Bush; she says it's the other way around. Oliver North calls out the America-bashing Israel-haters at the United Nations ...and says if they would simply follow their own charter, the world would be a better place. | ||
