WE'RE COMING BACK TO PITTSBURGH! Just a few years ago The Neal Boortz Show
made quite a splash in Pittsburgh. We helped launch a new FM
talker where our show was delay-broadcast to the afternoons.
In no time at all we were clobbering the Godfather! The
problem was we were beating my hero in the ratings on a radio
station owned by the company that owns The Godfather's show!
Well, you just knew that situation wasn't going to last, and it
didn't. They removed me and moved the Godfather on over. Well .. now we're coming back.
Starting January 2nd. I'll be on KDKA Newsradio 1020, Pittsburgh's heritage radio station, and I
couldn't be more proud. So .. you Pittsburgh Boortz listeners
who have been wondering what in the world happened to me ... spread
the word! Boortz on KDKA on January 2nd! And yes ... the
"Somebody's Gotta Say It" book tour will most certainly be stopping
by Pittsburgh! |
SANDY BERGER EXPOSED
Sandy "Pants" Berger is
back in the news. It turns out the former National Security Adviser during the
Clinton Administration was busy after his little visit to the National Archives.
In fact, immediately following his five-finger discount routine, he
hid
classified documents under a construction trailer. Sounds like an honest
mistake to me. So what punishment did Berger face for his little escapade?
First, a little history to
refresh your memory. Sandy Berger was preparing for his testimony in front of
the 9/11 Commission back in 2003...and was reviewing documents at the National
Archives. It was during one of those visits that National Archives employees
spotted Berger stuffing classified documents into his pants. But now we have
more information. According to the Inspector General's report, here's what
Sandy did when he rolled out of the National Archives:
"He headed toward a
construction area. Mr. Berger looked up and down the street, up into the
windows of the Archives and the Department of Justice, and did not see anyone,"
says the report. Berger then slid the documents under a construction trailer.
He came back later to pick them up. Parts of the report were censored to
protect national security. Now, as outrageous as all of this sounds, I have two
major observations.
One, where is the
mainstream media on all of this? If a Republican had done this...we would never
hear the end of it. Would the media have let them off the hook so easily?
Hardly. Second...and more importantly...what was Sandy Berger up to? What was
he hiding? Why go through all of that effort to hide something? Up to this
point, we don't know.
What we do know is that
Berger was to testify to the 9/11 commission on what the Clinton Administration
did or did not know about any links between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda .. among
other things. Does anyone know what
was in those documents? There had to be a reason
Sandy Berger was stealing top-secret documents and destroying them. We'll
probably never know.
$100
BILLION MORE FOR THE TROOPS
Lots of headlines about
this today.
The Pentagon wants $100 billion more dollars to fight the War On
Terror in Iraq and Afghanistan. They are unlikely to get this much money from
the new Democratic Congress, which is bent on appeasement, strengthening our
enemies, and surrender. Are we prepared to fight and win the war against
Islamic terrorism? Well .. considering the fact that most Americans have
forgotten that we're even at war, I think not.
It's been 5 plus years
since 9/11, and the threat of Islamic terrorism has been swept under he rug.
America has become lazy and complacent. Islamic terrorists can now smell the
fear, and will be ready to strike. They know liberals that are in charge of lax
airport security are their friends. They know CAIR will be there to protest any
life-saving racial profiling that might take place at airports. The time is
right for another strike. And oh, it will happen.
We are currently fighting
the war on Islamic fascism on two major fronts ....one in Afghanistan and the
other in Iraq. Wars cost money. But unfortunately, it doesn't seem that people
are willing to see the cause through to the end. This has thugs in Iraq like
Al-Sadr and Al-Sistani smiling with approval. They know their Democratic allies
in the House and Senate will be pushing their appeasement strategy with full
conviction.
How can we put a price on
defending the United States against the most vicious enemy we've ever fought?
You can't...but don't worry, the Left will. After spending trillions on
throwaway government programs, suddenly the War On Terror is too expensive.
Typical. If he's still alive, Osama has never been happier.
LINING
UP FOR JOBS AMERICANS WON'T DO
So you know those meat
packing plants where all those illegal aliens were busted for identity theft?
It turns out
applicants are lining up to take those jobs. But what about illegals supposedly doing jobs Americans don't want to do? It would seem that
doesn't apply here. You may remember that was President Bush's justification
for his sweeping amnesty proposal for the 12 million Mexican invaders currently
in this country. They do jobs Americans won't do.
But that is not the case
with the Swift Meatpacking Company. The line at one plant was out the door with
job applicants for the new vacancies. These are actually legally employable
Americans this time. They didn't jump the border and commit fraud....they just
want to work. One man showed up with his driver's license, his Social Security
card and a picture of himself as a young Naval officer, just to erase any doubts
that he might be here illegally.
All of this exposes the
lie of illegal immigration: that our economy needs illegal aliens. Wrong. The
price we pay in higher crime, payments for social services and law enforcement
far, far outweighs any cheap labor we might benefit from. So from now on, when
you hear George Bush say illegals do the work Americans won't, just know that
it's a lie.
Illegal aliens do the work
Americans won't do for what the illegals are paid. There you have it. Put that
in your sombrero and smoke it, Mr. President. POT SHOTS
OK .. a word of admiration for Monica Lewinsky.
Yeah ... that Monica. She has now graduated from the London School of
Economics and is interviewing for jobs in Great Britain. I had thought
that she would always be known as the woman who went to Washington to get her
"presidential kneepads." Now that may be a mere footnote to a great
career. Good for her. Do you have any idea what the most popular name for
newborn male babies in the United Kingdom might be? Well ... it's Jack.
Now that's some stunning news, isn't it? But what about poor George?
George has always been quite the British name, hasn't it? I mean, with
King George and all. Well you might be interest in knowing that Mohammed has now moved ahead of George on the list of most popular baby
names in England. That's a warning sign. The Muslim encroachment on
England is increasing .. but remember that there are cities in Europe where
Mohammed is No. 1 on the list of baby names ... so England has a lot of catching
up to do. Kenneth Mott has a full white beard. He drives a
school bus on Long Island. For the past five years he has been wearing a
Santa Hat during the Christmas season. Well .. along comes a parent
who complains. Now you just KNOW that this parent was a female. She
complains that her child doesn't believe in Santa Claus and is offended by the
hat. So the school district orders Mott to remove the hat.
Thankfully, other parents overruled this pathetic woman and the hat is now back
on. God save us from these idiots. It looks like some prudes in the Johns Creek area of
Atlanta will ultimately succeed in getting the "Love Shack" closed.
It seems that they sell sex toys there. That's bad. These same
"citizens" aren't concerned about nearby stores that sell weapons or the stores
that sell DVD movies showing people killing each other. Violence and
killing is OK. Making love is not. Someone has referred to Saddam Hussein as "calm, dignified
and thoughtful." Well, this might seem a little odd ... someone referring
to a mass murderer like Saddam Hussein as "dignified", until you realize that
the person who made those remarks was Ramsey Clark, a moonbat if ever there was
one. AN AMAZING YOUNG MAN
Usually I post hate mail on Nealz Nuze. Let's face
it, some of the emails from listeners who don't exactly worship in the Church of
the Painful Truth can be quite amusing. This time, though, I'm posting
some favorable email. This is from Thomas, a 19-year-old high school drop
out who has more on the ball than most of our young men and women in college.
I just wanted you to read it. Subject: A
little fan mail from a young listener Name: Thomas
Email: xxxxxxxxx@yahoo.com
Message:
Dear Mr. Boortz, my name is Thomas, I'm 19 years old, and live in
Nashville, Tennessee. I am a.. rather big fan of your program, and
agree with you on all points I've heard you speak on, although sadly
I must confess that I have never been able to listen to a show all
the way through. I work with my father [I had to drop out of high
school to do this, as we are undergoing some finical trouble],
cleaning office buildings at night, around the time your show airs.
We listen to you for a little while in the car before we reach an
office, clean it, come back, and repeat for a few hours. But
anyway.. I have something a bit more important to talk about
tonight.
I am a bit concerned about the youth of America. As I've already
stated, I am a mere 19 years old, recently out of high school. While
I was at school, I wasn't a real big fan on politics, because I
never really put much effort into trying to learn because I never
really cared. I saw a few things about national issues, but I never
really quite bothered to hear more, because I was in a more
local-area mind frame, and thought that it didn't really affect me.
About the time I started work with dad, and started to listen to
talk radio did I start to learn how everything REALLY does affect
me, my family, and my friends. So with this fresh knowledge in my
mind, I went back to my friends that I still hang around, and began
to ask a few questions. What I found has started to scare me. No one
seems to give a damn about politics, in any way. They all seem to be
more concerned with their own personal lives to see what's going on
in the world around them. I asked a few about what they thought on
the war in Iraq, and almost all of them were against it, because
they didn't understand it. I seems the youth, America's future are
just so under-educated in the fields that are getting so important
to the fate of our nation. I just wish that there was some way to
reach out to the high-schoolers, the seniors that are almost at the
age to vote, to let them see what you've began to teach me to see.
I'm probably starting to ramble, and doubtfully making any sense, as
it's late and I've just got home from work, and I'm just writing
this off the top of my head. I apologize, and sincerely thank you
for taking the time to read this little note of mine, and I pray you
keep on keeping on. If only the rest of my generation would listen
to you, America would be better off. |
If you want to send Thomas an email just
send them to the
show with "email for Thomas" as the subject and I'll forward them on. REDNECK SCRAP BOOK Today I've sifted through the Redneck Scrap Book archives and pulled out the

Iran is now announcing that it is a nuclear power.
And why are we allowing this? Isn't it time to warm up the bombers and aim
squarely for the reactors and weapons of mass destruction in Tehran? I guess
not.
Ann Coulter and the New
York Times don't seem to be getting along very much these days.
In today's column, she takes on the Times' Frank Rich,
who has been predicting doom and gloom in Iraq since before we even went there.
Barack Obama mania has hit a fever pitch in New Hampshire and Washington D.C.,
where supporters of the Illinois Senator are running ads trying to draft him
into the 2008 presidential race. Quick...can anyone name anything Barack Obama
has done since being elected to public office? Time's up.....oh, can't think of
anything? Darn.
Another kindergartner is being hauled off to jail for sexual harassment.
Well, actually a Maryland 5-year-old is only being accused of an unwelcome
sexual advance...something that will remain in his record for years. Your
government schools at work.
President Bush says there will be no direct talks with Iran
until they suspend their nuclear program. Of course there's no mention of what
will happen if they don't suspend their program. More toothless posturing from
the White House. Oh, but they're working on another UN resolution. Yawn.
Dick Morris says Barack Obama represents the "un-Hillary" choice
in the coming 2008 presidential Democratic primary. He says Obama is
inexperienced and points out that he only rose to power in the Senate after the
GOP in Illinois failed to run a sane candidate against him.
Victor Davis Hanson takes a look at radical Islam around the world
and says you'll find it in more places than you expect. In country after
country, extreme jihadist are striking fear into their victims. So what can we
do about it? Hanson has some ideas.
Time recently named "You"
as its 'Person Of The Year,' rather than a single individual.
George Will says it's hard to take this seriously
and wonders why the magazine didn't pick somebody else.
Things are a bit messy in
Iraq now, and former
New York Mayor Ed Koch....a Bush and Iraq war supporter...takes a look
at the situation. He says we shouldn't take sides in the civil war...and he
does call it a civil war.
Haven't done your
Christmas shopping yet?
Thomas Sowell has a suggestion for your list....how
about buying some books. He points out that you don't even have to leave the
house to place your order....and then gives some suggestions on what to
purchase. I know what you're thinking. You want to attend the
all-star gala celebration of the ascension of Nancy Pelosi to the Speaker's
chair in the House of Representatives. Well, for just $1000 you can be there!
