IS THIS GOING TO BE ENOUGH TO FINALLY WAKE US UP?

What you're seeing in the Middle East right now -- the fighting in Lebanon and in Gaza -- are the direct and predictable result of Israel's demonstrations of weakness.  You do not show any sign of weakness to  Islamic fascists.  They will revel in it, and will then attack to press their perceived advantage.

Israel pulls it's citizens and settlements out of Gaza.  This Israel does as a show of good faith and an inducement to the so-called "Palestinians" to react with a concession of their own and move toward a lasting negotiated peace.  After the Gaza pull out Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert remarked that Israel was "tired" and wanted to work harder for peace.  Another sign of Israeli weakness.  "We're tired.  Please leave us alone."

So ... Islamic terrorists in Gaza build a nice little tunnel and use it to attack Israel.  They kidnap an Israeli soldier.  Hezbollah Islamic fascists in Lebanon conduct a similar attack from the North.  They kill several Israeli soldiers and kidnap two.  These were clear-cut acts of war against Israel, and Israel is responding.

Newt Gingrich says that we and the rest of the world have to come to terms that we're in the middle of what he calls World War III.  OK, he and I have a bit of a disagreement on that.  I believe that the Cold War was World War III, and we won.  Small point, so I'll bow to Gingrich on the World War III category.

It's been said that this World War, sometimes called the War On Terror, has an enemy that is difficult to define.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  We know who the enemy is in this world war: it is the savages who practice radical Islam.  We know exactly who they are and we know exactly where to find them: Iran, Syria, Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in the West Bank and Gaza strip.  Let's also be sure to mention the Wahabbis of Saudi Arabia and a good number of professors in American colleges and universities.  This isn't rocket science...it's never been more clear exactly who the enemy is and where to find them.

So what should we do?  It's time for the United States, Israel and whoever else values freedom and our way of life to eliminate radical Islam once and for all.  The time to speak of toleration, negotiations and appeasement is past.  Israel tried this route, and we clearly see what it bought them.  Nothing but misery and death at the hands of the wonderful, peaceful religion of Islam.

Radical Islam needs to be eliminated from the face of the Earth.  This must be done militarily, not through any more failed negotiations.  Anything short of total annihilation of Islamic fascism is unacceptable.  The radical Islamic government in Iran should be toppled and its leaders exterminated.  Same with Syria.  Israel should be fully unleashed and supported in an effort to eliminate Hamas and Hezbollah.  It's time for them to breathe their last breath and be rewarded with their 72 virgins -- or 72 white grapes, as the case may be.

Unfortunately, that's not what's going to happen.  The pro-appeasement forces in the United Nations, Europe and the American Democratic Party will call for a halt in the fight before the enemy has been erased.  Once again Israel will have come close to destroying her enemies, only to be sold out by the world community.  Too bad.

Inside Israel we have leftists marching and demanding an end to Israel's military moves.  The appeasement left is pulling out the same mantras perfected by the left in this country.  They're detailing the deaths of women and children, and calling for even more negotiations.  Never mind that the negotiating has been going on for more than 50 years.  Any rational observer can quickly see that the radical Islamist position on negotiations is that you negotiate to buy time, you kill to take the advantage.

One idiot protestor in Israel told a reporter "I think that Israel should negotiate with Hezbollah and Hamas and release Palestinian prisoners in exchange for the hostages.  This way this story will come to an end."  Yes --- Israel has it's share of leftist idiots too.

This world cannot exist in peace and prosperity as long as we approach radical radical Islam with a politically correct, Mr. Nice Guy hand-off game plan.  Israel realizes what's at stake here, Americans need to be reminded.

DEMOCRATS PUT A NAIL IN THEIR COFFIN AD

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee pulled its controversial ad which depicted flag-draped coffins [video] of fallen soldiers.  It was typical of the Democrats...they've never had a problem in the past exploiting our war dead for political gain.  So they took the ad down, which they probably planned on doing anyway...after they got their free publicity.

In a time when pundits are predicting a big political victory for Democrats this fall, they still can't get it together.  The party has been taken over by the anti-war left and there doesn't appear to be any going back.  With radical leftists like Nancy Pelosi, Howard Dean, Harry Reid and John Murtha running the show, what do you expect.  This is the kind of extreme liberalism that doesn't win elections.  On the contrary...it's the political ticket to nowhere.

To confirm this, you need look no further than Joe Lieberman.  A mainstream Democrat who is in the process of being run out of town on a rail because he supported the war.  Here's the difference between him and most of the other linguine-spined Democrats who voted for the war in Iraq: he's still sticking to his position.  Yet they can't get rid of him fast enough.

So the coffin ad is gone.  What will they think of next? Give them time.

HOWARD DEAN'S LATEST TIRADE

Ultra-leftist moonbat and Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean M.D. gave a speech Saturday night at San Diego State University.  In it, he made some interesting accusations.  He accused the Bush Administration of being weak on national defense and of not doing anything about the current situation in the Middle East.  Weak on national defense? A lot of people accuse George W. Bush of a lot of things, but that isn't one of them.  Let's take a closer look, shall we?

Said Dean: "You know, people say the Republicans are tough on defense. How can you be tough on defense if five years after 9/11, Osama Bin Laden is still at large, the Iranians are about to get nuclear weapons, North Korea's quadrupled their nuclear weapons stash....."  Hmm....that's quite a list of charges.  Let's look at the Bin Laden one first.

Remember when two 500-pound bombs wasted Zarqawi in Iraq last month?  As most of the country celebrated, Democrats came out and said Zarqawi was just one man...and that it wouldn't matter much.  Well, that doesn't square too well with their constant harping about Bin Laden, does it?  After all, Osama is just one person, isn't he?  Isn't it more important to crush the entire organization rather than just one man, like the left said about Zarqawi?  It would appear your theory is taking on water, Governor Dean.

Oh..and Iran is about to get nuclear weapons.  Hmm...how did that happen?  Who was in office when radical Islamic terrorists took over Iran?  Who allowed it to happen?  A Democratic president. Strike two.

As for this North Korea business, that's the most galling.  Wasn't it in 2000 that Madeline Albright went to North Korea to meet with Kim Jong-Il and make a deal with him?  That's right...he was supposed to stop pursuing nuclear weapons, wasn't he?  Oh, and didn't your hero Jimmy Carter have some role to play here as well?  That one really worked for us, didn't it Dr. Moonbat?

It's a good think a Democrat is not occupying the Oval Office right now.  Their policies of appeasement would no doubt be causing even more death and destruction.

A LISTENER GETS IT!

There is no reason why anyone in America should consider themselves poor. There are so many opportunities here in America. I moved here in '89 from England with $2000 in my pocket. I joined the military, became a U.S. citizen and now i own my own company. As for the economy and gas prices, i don't see rickshaws at Wal-Mart or row boats in the waters around Destin. Just parking lots full of new cars, trucks and SUV's, and shiny go-fasts in the bay. So if you think you are poor, get of the couch, turn off the TV and go sell your strongest talent God gave you!

Orlando FairTax Rally Saturday, July 29.

Hillary Clinton has finally figured out the obvious: focusing on issues like abortion and gay marriage are doing nothing but inflaming the conservative base.  She is warning Democrats that they are wasting their time on such issues.  In fact, everyone is wasting their time.

Newt Gingrich says we are currently engaged in a World War, and its time for the politicians in Washington to realize it. He further goes on to say that the U.S. needs to Iran and Syria on notice about their involvement with Hezbollah.

Speaking about the war in the Middle East, Hillary Clinton came down on the right side...she says Israel, like any other country, has a right to defend itself.  Of course, just like her husband when he was in office, her support is subject to change.

Lawrence Kudlow says people the world over shouldn't be criticizing Israel
....we should be thanking them.  It's about time somebody defends freedom and democracy in the Middle East.

The 2000 presidential election here in the U.S. was a close election.....so was 2004.  Michael Barone notes that the recent election in Mexico was also a squeaker and he wonders if close elections are the future.

With Joe Lieberman on the ropes in Connecticut, Robert Novak tells us that Joe is resorting to emphasizing how much he's brought home the bacon to his constituents.  Will the strategy work or backfire?  Read on to find out.

Mark Steyn was watching Larry King the other night and noticed that politician after politician supported the idea of sending a special envoy to the Middle East to settle things.  Steyn says it is precisely this kind of thinking that is causing problems.

Ralph Peters has a great take on the war between Hezbollah and Israel.
He says that just when Israel starts to make headway in stamping out Islamic terrorism, the world saves the terrorists.

Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum is in political trouble this election cycle...and George Will checks in to see how Santorum is going to win a third term.  Oddly enough, he is trying to emulate a former Senator you may have forgotten about.

The head-butting of one soccer player to another at the World Cup made a lot of headlines.  Suzanne Fields looks at what happened and says that while what the player did was wrong, it's being blown out of proportion.

Fasting ... Moonbat Style!

For all of you who just love government schools.  For all of you who think that you are fulfilling your obligation as a parent when you ship your child off to be educated by government agents .... dare you read this?
