How about the
inspection of cargo to and from the country? On the oceans, maybe. But
there's that border again. I guess we could seize the assets of companies that
sell arms to North Korea. Would that include the Chinese weapons industry?
Iran next?
The Democrat's catch phrase is one that will surely bring smiles to the faces of Marx and Lenin in whatever corner of hell they now occupy. The word --- or two words, if you will -- for the Democrats is now "common good." Well, at least the Democrats are being loyal to their socialist roots. "Common good" was a catch-phrase for the communist movement for decades, now it is being officially embraced by the Democrats. No real surprise here. Democrat icon Ted Kennedy announced the war on individualism -- using those very words -- many years ago. The idea of the "common good" is completely contrary to the concept of individualism. You either support and promote the idea of individuality, or you ignore the rights of the individual for the good of the whole .. for the common good. So .. here we have the Democrats telling you just exactly who they are, and who they think you are -- not an individual, just one element that makes up the masses. These people and their socialist "common good" theme are dangerous to freedom, liberty and the very concept of the individual. If you're looking for a reason to vote for the free-spending, big-government Republicans, the Democrats and their "common good" theme would be it. Today is the day we're supposed to meet the 300,000,000th American. Officially they're waiting for the 300 millionth American to be actually born in this country .. somewhere around mid-morning. The truth is that the 300 millionth American probably waded across the Rio Grande a few hours ago. Citizenship or legality doesn't count here. Just numbers. My guess? The 300 millionth American will be born to a single Hispanic female. Now ... let's see if I get a big "I told you so" later today.
The report will contain some other interesting details. For instance, last year more than 600 Muslims from places like Syria, Iran and Pakistan, including two Hezbollah members, crossed the border into this country. If we know of 600, that would mean that about 6000 actually made the trip. That leaves over 5000 possible Islamic terrorists in this country. And why? Because we just absolutely refuse to close that border. We'll also learn that Hugo Chavez' Venezuela -- you remember Hugo, don't you? The man Cindy Sheehan just loves? Well Hugo is training Arabs -- that would mean Muslims -- to pass for Latinos. He's providing them with government IDs using fake Latino names that allow them to enter the U.S. undetected. We'll have more on the report when we get our smarmy little hands on a copy. Breaking news just in as I head to the studio. Right wing talk radio (RWTR) is now being blamed for the 6.6 earthquake that hit Hawaii over the weekend. We're also getting information that RWTR caused a miscarriage in Idaho and a minor traffic accident in New Hampshire. Details later. First .. Iraq is a mess. No doubt about it. We did the right thing in getting rid of Saddam Hussein. That policy was developed during the Clinton years. But what do we do now? Sure, things would have been different if the Democrats had been as concerned with seeing our efforts over their succeed as they were in demonizing and destroying George Bush ... but they weren't, and now we have a mess. Just a question here .. nothing more ... but could it possibly be time to put more effort into protecting our culture and our country from the Islamic fascists, and less effort into trying to democratize Iraq?
So what can we expect
on election night? Again ... it's too bad
the Republicans haven't given us something to really vote for.
REDNECK SCRAP BOOK That's one way to keep your trunk lid closed. Another would be to just get the damn thing fixed. More in the Redneck Scrap Book. READING ASSIGNMENTS Latin American has an open seat on the U.N. Security Council, and Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is trying to get it. Problem is, they just can't seem to get past Guatemala, which the U.S. is pushing. That's the last thing we need...another deranged tyrant wielding power at the U.N. Pennsylvania Congressman Curt Weldon is crying foul after the FBI raided his daughter's home, her business partner's office and the offices of their company. The Feds are investigating whether or not Weldon improperly helped his daughter win lobbying and consulting contracts. Weldon says it's politically motivated....but this is a Republican administration. The U.S. population has reached 300 million people. Remember when people were talking about the "population bomb" and how we were running out of resources and room in the United States? Looks like we have plenty of both. And who was the 300 millionth person? Probably somebody that walked across the border from Mexico. Tony Snow says the Bush Administration has been deporting people in this country illegally, but that it's difficult to know who is here legally and who is not. Really? How about just asking them for their green card? In Spanish, of course. It can't be that hard. Gas prices have now fallen to their lowest level of the year, with some places experiencing regular unleaded prices just under $2 a gallon. This is obviously because George W. Bush has pushed the gas price lever in the Oval Office downward. He does control the price of gasoline, at least according to the Democrats and the media. Joe Lieberman continues to lead Ned Lamont in the polls up in Connecticut, but that hasn't stopped Lamont from continuing to attack Joe over his support of the war in Iraq. Lamont needs to do something.....he's running out of money. The NAACP, always on the lookout for problems where there are none, is sending monitors to 10 states to be sure there are no problems at the polls. They're worried about black folks being disenfranchised by electronic voting machines. With political correctness and speech codes all the rage, Thomas Sowell is alarmed by what you can and can't say in America anymore. Is any one person or group above criticism? He also addresses the issue of the fairness doctrine in talk radio. Lawrence Kudlow is calling on House Speaker Dennis Hastert to step aside, and says polls show the GOP is about to lose the House. For Kudlow, the whole thing is a no-doubter...and Hastert has to go. No optimism in this column...the situation is what it is. David Limbaugh says the only thing consistent with John Kerry are his inconsistencies. Going back to the 2004 election, sKerry has contradicted himself...and his latest criticism of the Bush Administration's foreign policy is absolutely no different. How serious are we about fighting Islamic fascism? Well, a lawyer who passed messages from her jailed Islamic terrorist client to his Islamic terrorist operatives on the outside gets 28 months in jail. If she had been caught doing something really bad, like selling marijuana or something, it could have been much worse. There's a proposal on the ballot in Michigan to end affirmative discrimination in the awarding of state contracts. Opponents say if it passes it will be the equivalent of another Katrina. Joe "Anonymous" Klein seems to think that Barak Obama could be our next president. Did you know that there is a Starbucks Gossip site? Well, now you do. | ||
