Paris, France is suffering more riots. The latest fad seems to be burning busses. With few exceptions, the news reports will tell you that the rioters are "disaffected youths" or "immigrant youths." Those exceptions? They'll tell you that these "youths" are all Muslim. Yup, there you go. The wonderful, peaceful, gentle religion of Islam strikes again. Oh ... by the way, the very fact that I'm pointing out to you that these lawless rioters are Muslims constitutes "hate speech." Hans Blix -- remember him? The former UN chief weapons inspector? Well good ole Hans is telling us that Iraq would have been better off under Saddam. Let's see; mass graves holding tens of thousands of bodies; rape rooms; torture chambers; tens of thousands killed by Saddam's chemical weapons. Yup, I see Hans' point! What a brilliant man! Exxon Mobile has posted a $10 billion profit for the third quarter of 2006. Can anyone tell me how much profit Exxon Mobile earned on every dollar of revenue? No? I thought not. OK .. so George Bush signed a fence authorizing a 700-mile-long fence along some portion of the Mexican-U.S. border. BFD. Now the fence is "authorized." Hey ... I'm "authorized" to buy a private jet if I care to. There's a small problem. Money. I don't have the money to buy a private jet, and Bush doesn't have the money to build that fence. Authorizing is one thing. Let's see when the congress steps forward and actually appropriates the funds to get it done. By the way, the fence is about 1400 miles too short .. and it isn't electrified. Let's fix that. James Webb is running against George Allen in that hotly-contested Senate race in Virginia. Webb, it seems, is an author. He writes novels. Fictional novels. Now George Allen is using excerpts out of those fictional novels to slam Webb. Who do I want to win there? Allen. But give us a big-league break here! It's fiction! Can we get to an issue that actually means something to the voters here? Gay marriage? It's back on the table again .. and people are upset. I'll believe that people want to save the institution of marriage in this country when they start rejecting these Hollywood libertines who have made such a mockery of the institution. It's Hollywood that is destroying marriage .. not gay couples in loving and committed relationships. So .. you want the Democrats in power in Washington? Wait until they manage to work the magic of imputed income on that home you've owned for so many years. Oh ... and are you ready for a lump-sum tax to be placed on your retirement accounts? It's reported that some Israelis see a downside to the Democrats controlling our country. Golly! You think! What could the possible downside to Israel be to having our country controlled by peace-at-any-price appeasers who won't even recognize that we're at war against Islamic fascism? Perhaps those Israelis need to start talking to their Jewish friends in the U.S. who will, naturally, vote overwhelmingly Democrat.
Hans Blix was the guy
who was the chief weapons inspector in Iraq, sent by the United Nations to find
Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction. Blix failed, of course, just like
everyone else who came before him (that wasn't kicked out, by the way.) Of
course, Blix has since spun his failure as a result of just needing more time.
If only he had more time...he would could have proven Iraq had no WMD's and
saved us the trouble of going to war. Yeah right. By the way, did you know
Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction and that they have been found?
Just throwing that in.
Actor Michael J. Fox is
responding to the allegation that he played up his Parkinson's disease for a
Democratic political campaign commercial.
In an interview with Katie Couric,
Fox says that he wasn't off his medication when he shot the commercials. In
fact he says he was too medicated. Fair enough, but that's not really the
point. Look ... I'm not what
you would call a hunk, yet I go on television. So I don't get mad when
people react in horror! If I don't want to get slammed for my bald head
and the scars on my nose ... I'll stick to radio. REDNECK SCRAP BOOK Okay so clearly this is not in the US of A, but I'm betting there's an expat redneck behind the wheel of this minivan. More in the Redneck Scrap Book. READING ASSIGNMENTS A new Fox poll shows that Democrats have a double-digit lead when it comes to likely voters. The lead over Republicans is 11 percent, but this is a generic poll. Not good for the GOP. It's easy for people to say they're upset with George Bush over Iraq, but the real key is whether or not they take it out on their specific, local member of Congress. We'll see. Republican In Name Only, Rhode Island Senator Lincoln Chafee says he didn't vote for George W. Bush. Wow...what a surprise. Why would he? Chafee is as far Left as they come...a complete liberal that is probably himself left of Hillary Clinton. A Muslim cleric in Australia is enlightening us as to how Islam treats its women. He said that women who don't wear their Islamic headdress are like "meat that is left uncovered in the street and is then eaten by cats." How nice. Donald Rumsfeld is taking on the media...telling them to back off over Iraq and the demand for a withdrawal deadline. He says people should just back off and relax and that the situation is complicated and difficult. He's right, but it makes for entertaining press conferences. President Bush has signed the 700-mile border fence bill, saying the United States has not been in complete control of its borders for quite sometime. No kidding. Now how about signing a bill to cover the other 1,200 miles of the border and then sign a bill actually deporting illegal aliens? Meanwhile, many are doubting when or if the fence will ever be built. Dick Cheney is causing quite a stir. The VP said this week that simulated drowning of terrorism suspects was a "no-brainer." Of course the media and the Left, being the Islamic terrorist appeasers that they are, are quite upset. Too bad. Conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer says Barack Obama should run for president in 2008. However, Krauthammer says he will lose...but that will put him on the path to the presidency. How does Obama win by losing? Read on to find out. One little fact that gets lost in the shuffle is a lot of the Democrats running for Congress and leading in the polls are doing it by pretending to be Republicans. Jonah Goldberg says the national Democratic Party has no agenda...and it shows. Ralph Peters says he can pinpoint the exact moment he lost faith in our war in Iraq. It was when the prime minister of Iraq demanded the release of Muqtada al-Sadr's deputy. Peters says we should be killing al-Sadr, not being nice to him. And now, courtesy of Mona Charen, 13 reasons to vote for the GOP on November 7th. 13 reasons! You know, that's a bit of an unlucky number...if you're superstitious. At any rate, to get you started, the number one reason is the economy. Scary video of the day: Famous Japanese competitive eater, Kobayashi, takes on his, er, BIGGEST opponent yet. | ||
