| Friday, September 29, 2006 Bush said: "Five years after 9/11, the worst attack on the American homeland in our history, Democrats offer nothing but criticism and obstruction and endless second-guessing." He's right. Dead on. Democrats have offered no real strategy for fighting Islamic fascism. Well, unless you call withdrawal a strategy. Cut and run. Pull our troops out of Iraq. Give the Islamists a stunning victory over the world's greatest military power. That's the strategy. Just how do you think that one would work out for us? The Democrat's response? Well .. Bush hasn't caught Osama bin Laden yet. Well, guess what? The Allies never captured Adolf Hitler or Tojo during World War II. Does that mean we didn't prevail? After the Germans were routed did the "loyal" opposition in this country start screaming that we hadn't captured Hitler yet? Fact is, we never got him. He managed to take himself out before we could get to him. I guess that means we failed. Of course the Democrats are still pounding on that National Intelligence Estimate .. .you remember, the one that says many radical Muslims got ticked off when we started killing radical Muslims .. and so they came to help out. Funny how the Democrats don't seem to mention the fact that that very same National Intelligence Estimate says that if the US prevails in Iraq it will mean a huge decrease in Islamic radicalism. The Democrats don't want to mention that because they don't want to prevail in Iraq. See how easy this is when you just stop to noodle it all out? No matter what,
Republicans have one issue that they know the American people trust them on:
national security. By allowing themselves to be drawn into a debate about
terrorism, Democrats have taken the bait. They're being forced to debate an
issue on which they cannot compete. Karl Rove also knows that the Democrats
have no plan for Iraq. Their idea of cutting and running is about as popular as
the war itself is. They have no solution because right now there is no better
solution.
I hate to say it .. but Carter is becoming a disgusting example of the American appeasement, peace-at-any-price idiot left.
By the way, according
to a lot of reviews, some of them from conservative commentators, 'World Trade
Center' is a good movie. But back to Stone's comments, made in Spain at a film
festival. And isn't it odd how
often they chose to make their anti-American remarks on foreign soil? So there you have it....terrorism, it can be lived with. Perhaps that could be a new slogan for the Democratic party. Start making commercials...print the signs...there's only 5 weeks to go. Just imagine Nancy Pelosi signing off each national Democratic ad with that slogan! Here's your bumper sticker!
Just in case you
thought Oliver Stone had stopped being a certified moonbat because he made a
patriotic film, now you know better. The more things change, the more they stay
the same.
Well ... I'm not so sure about you, but I learned differently. I was taught that you built character by getting up, dusting yourself off, repairing the damage, and wading right back into the fight. How many times was Abraham Lincoln defeated in his quest for public office? As I remember, Lincoln lost at least four elections before he finally was elected President of the United States. But you don't have to look as far as Abe Lincoln to understand the value of perseverance. Your own parents, especially if they were part of the World War II generation, could also give you a lesson or two; and hopefully they did. Well .. that brings us to the Oscoda, Michigan high school football team. The Oscoda Area High School is, according to Rexford Hart, the principal, the "home of the mighty Owls." Mighty? If you will look at the athletics page on the Mighty Owls website you will see that there is no mention of football. And just why would that be? Well, that would be because the school officials have decided to cancel the football season. The Owls, it would seem, weren't so mighty on the playing field. The Oscoda Owls played four games, lost badly, didn't score a point, and then gave up. That's it ... they just gave up. Well ---- to be fair --- they were TOLD to give up. After the first four games the Oscoda School Board decided to cancel the remainder of the football season. They forced these young guys to quit. The football players didn't like it, and either did their parents, but the school board decided that they just weren't going to win, so they needed to quit. Forfeit the remainder of the games. Besides, they might get hurt.
So .. what is the lesson learned by the members of the Oscoda Owls football team? In fact, what is the lesson learned by virtually all of the members of the Oscoda Area High School student body? This is one of the easiest lesson plans in history. So simple. One word. QUIT Don't' get up. Don't come back fighting. Don't dust yourself off and wade back in. When the going gets tough, quit. When the road gets rough ... forfeit! No more sucking it up around here! We're the not-so-mighty Owls! Beat us and we'll stick our tails between our legs and slink off.. High school is a learning experience. The students at Oscoda high school have just learned to give up. REDNECK SCRAP BOOK Redneckmethodsofhaulingareaboutasplentiful as mailboxes. People are noticing
that the bills in Congress authorizing military tribunals
omit many rights that criminals are entitled to under our legal system.
Good. The Islamic terrorists we are trying under these tribunals don't deserve
anything more than we give them.
