WELL ... WE DIDN'T HEAR FROM AL SHARPTON

We never did hear from Al Sharpton this morning with an OK for us to proceed with the posting of our program notes and to go ahead with the show. We tried Jesse Jackson also ... perhaps this morning was the day he takes his love child to school. So ... we've decided to just take a chance and post these notes without the "Reverend's" approval. Cross your fingers everyone!

WRONG AGAIN ... I JUST CAN'T GET ANYTHING RIGHT.

Well, another Boortz prediction down the tubes. Yesterday I said that CBS would fire Don Imus after his show today. Well, they didn't wait. Couldn't stand up to the pressure. The fired him yesterday afternoon.

When the history of this whole affair is written we'll see that the biggest mistake Imus made, other than uttering his ridiculous comment in the first place, was to add to Al Sharpton's aura of legitimacy by groveling before him on his radio show. Sharpton is a race hustler. That's it. One issue ... race .. and exploiting the sense of black victimization for his personal aggrandizement. I absolutely believe that Al Sharpton is a man with blood on his hands. His role in instigating racial violence in the Freddie's Fashion Mart incident and the Crown Heights riots has been largely ignored by the media. So here we have the spectacle of the management of CBS falling to their knees to lick the boots of a man who's words very well may have helped to send innocent men to their graves. You're really looking good, CBS.

This is only the beginning. Sure, Imus is a liberal. You can measure the depth of his vapidity through his endorsement of John Kerry for president. Some of you have asked how in the world I can say that this is the beginning of an all-out push to damage or destroy conservative talk radio when it was a liberal who bit the dust. Simple. Imus was sacrificed. A "proof of concept" exercise, if you will. Now the left knows that race hustler Al Sharpton can move large corporate mountains with his racially charged dialogue ... so it's time to use him to go after the real nemesis -- talk radio.

Sharpton is feeling very impressed with himself, I'm sure. Yesterday he told an anxiously awaiting media that; "It is our feeling that this is only the beginning. We must have a broad discussion on what is permitted and not permitted in terms of the airwaves."

Yup .. you heard him. "What is permitted in terms of the airwaves." Big Al is just the man to decide. Somewhere soon Sharpton will sit down with some cronies to review the talk radio landscape to figure out who needs to be the next to go. In the meantime he'll give some lip service to the cause of cleaning up rap lyrics, but know this ... talk radio is the target. Conservative talk radio. Liberals can't succeed at the medium ... so it must be destroyed.

Silver lining? I think there well might be. Perhaps hundreds of thousands of people -- maybe much more -- are going to be tuning in to their local talk stations to see if the situation is really as hideous as Sharpton and his sycophants allege. Leftist websites are going to drive even more people our way. What will these people hear? They'll hear logical and fact-based arguments against the anti-individual, anti-liberty cult of liberalism. They'll hear ideas and concepts presented that they haven't previously been exposed. They'll hear information about Democrat schemes and dreams in Washington that will make their blood curdle.

Here's just one example: Read the mainstream newspapers and listen to liberal talking heads on television and you'll soon generate a burning hatred of those evil people who constitute the mysterious "richest Americans." Listen to talk radio and you'll soon learn that a huge percentage of these people vilified for their income levels are actually the small businessmen and women of America .. and that they are considered to be rich because all of their business as well as personal income is reported on their personal income tax returns. You'll learn that these people -- the people targeted for huge tax increases by the left -- actually provide between 70% and 80% of all jobs in America ... perhaps your job. And then you're going to start wondering what a tax increase might do to them ... and to the people who work for them.

This, of course, is not healthy for liberals. There recourse is to shut down these channels of dangerous information. Sharpton is showing them the way.

Just a few more thoughts .... I want to make sure to give Sharpton and his goons as much to go over as possible.

You would have thought that "Rev." Sharpton and Imus would have gotten along famously! After all, they have the same hairdresser. (Ohhhhh. That's not a racist statement, is it? I mean ... after all ... one of them is black and one of them is white.)

I see that Obama had to chime in and call for Imus to be fired. A little late to the party, weren't you Barack? I guess he just couldn't sit back and watch that fool Sharpton suck all of the oxygen out Barackobamamania.

Rutgers Coach Vivian Stringer says it's time to "go forward and let the healing process begin." Healing process? What healing process? I'm not buying any of this nonsense that the Rutgers woman's basketball team was egregiously hurt by Imus' comments. Tennessee wins the championship and Rutgers gets all the publicity. It wasn't the Tennessee girl that were allowed to sit before the national TV cameras a few days ago. And how many of you can name the Tennessee coach? Let's face it .. the only people really, genuinely hurt in this episode are those connected with the Imus show who are now going to lose their jobs. Maybe those were the people Stringer was talking about with here silly "let the healing begin" comment. (Uh oh. Stringer is black ... I think ... and I just called her comment "silly." Do you think I should resign?)

Message: I am a liberal democrat but the firing of Imus is wrong wrong wrong. I think that all the sponsors that quit him should be boycotted. I am just a retired factory worker from Dayton Ohio so my voice would not get far. yours would you are the only talk show host i like besides Imus please get the message out to boycott these sponsors . ps my father has already started e-mail to boycott staples and he is an elderly gentleman who loved Imus also a democrat we are not all bad	Message: Neal, I'm traveling in Miami and my rental car has Sirius radio. As I'm flipping from station to station, I ran across a lady talking about the Imus situation. She then proceeds to spend around 30 minutes complaining about Neal Boortz and your attack on everything she holds dear. Specifically her undying affection for terrorists and under achievers. You were called a multitude of names (racist, white supremacist, nazi & so on - maybe she should be fired?) and she said that you owed her $5,000.00 for something that happened on Larry King. She really sounded upset at you and just couldn't get past your differences. I believe her name was Randy Rhodes. Way to go! It's very interesting, if a conservative disagrees with a liberal, the conservative usually respectfully agrees to disagree. However, if a liberal disagrees with a conservative, they HATE YOUR GUTS! All of their self acclaimed "peace and love" go out the window and they become bent on the total destruction of their target. Keep up the good work and keep moving. A moving target is hard to hit.
Message: Imus unfortunately made himself a mark, but to lose his job over another thoughtless remark; give me a break. In confirmation to one of your callers today, as a black male, I am wondering to what scale the backlash will be from "white" America. Jackson and Sharp ton's constant calls of racial injustice will fall on deaf ears and only diminish their effectiveness as "civil rights" leaders as long as they ignore much larger issues and chase self promoting ones." Let he who is without sin ..."
Message: Wow, you get some hateful email. I guess that is what we have come to in America. Taking down Talk Radio won't be as easy as the left thinks...20 million (Rush listeners) Americans can make a lot of noise. You keep speaking the truth and we will keep listening. We are behind you! Thanks for all you do.	Message: Hi, Neal. Am concerned that after what happened to Imus (even though he made a very stupid stupid remark) a variety of people will start going after talk radio. I am worried that if you go, the fair tax will go. I hope hope hope that doesn't happen.
Message: Neal- What you said about the Liberals taking down the Conservative Talk Shows couldn't be truer. Your poignant analysis is thought provoking and unfortunately the harsh reality. Rush, Sean, and yourself are very much targets and need to prepare for some very tough times in the near future. Most of all Sean, he is the bastion of all things Conservative. Not only does he have the medium of "Hate Radio" but he is one of the Flagships of the most dangerous threat to Liberal Control of the Media, Fox News. One you broadcast from the south. After all most Racism, Bigotry, Prejudice, Discrimination and, Narrow-mindedness are according to some liberals best known and practiced in the south. Two you boldly practice the first amendment to the United States Constitution. Third you support the Fair Tax which set "their people free" from their dependence on the Federal Government. Also the Fair Tax will stop the Tax and control that liberals Crave, hunger after, yearn for and, require. Last you are a libertarian. You are therefore a greater threat to liberals than conservatives are. As one of the spokes persons for the Libertarian cause or movement you should be the next to go.
Message: Your survey is an interesting one. It seems the majority think they will go after the Big Kahuna. Personally, I think they go for the easy target--Michael Savage. While I may agree with many points he makes, he throws a lot of unnecessary verbal bombs. However, Neal, gird up! It would be no surprise if they make you, Laura Ingraham or Mini-Savage (Mark Levin) the target thinking you are "minor players" that they can use to damage conservatism. While you would waste Olberman, Paula Zahn or any of the other liber-lemmings in a fair fight, the mainstream media coverage will not be fair or balanced. Imus-gate may be just the opening the Left needs to launch their attack on talk radio. It doesn't matter that Imus is a Big Lib. He has major political enemies on that side who have never forgiven him for his shots at Clinton at the infamous dinner. It will not be relevant that Sharpton and Jackson have actually gotten people killed with their rhetoric. Four legs good, two legs bad. Logic and reason will have a hard time winning the day.	Message: You are correct. The conservative "Talk radio show hosts" are being set-up and picked off-one by one. If it were not for Don Imus, you would be my favorite talk show host. Admittedly, Imus is an acquired taste--such as strange cheese and ouzo. But once one is tuned-in, he is straight on the mark. A bit like "Some Ones' Got to Say It." Imus is pretty much gone. The next one they will be after is Rush. And the next is. . . be afraid, be very afraid. Jessie said this morning "I want to "detoxify" the public airwaves. And we both know what that means. Hang in there and keep-up the good fight. Until Imus comes back, you are my favorite Talk Show host.
	Message: You are a f---ing a--hole and a liar. You are a hateful bastard that needs to be tied to a stake and burned alive.
Message: Neal, once again you are spot on correct. Watch out, i fear for our freedom, and I fear for your job. This liberal equivalent to duct-tape-over-the-mouth will be the death of this once proud and fine country.	Message: Imus is gone, and you're next.

FEMA FLUSHES ANOTHER $40 MILLION

Remember when the doom and gloom crowd was predicting a record-setting hurricane season in 2006 because of global warming? It didn't happen. What a surprise.

Today we learn that FEMA had to throw out $40 million worth of food last year because they ran out of refrigerated warehouse space. What a waste of everything. That could have paid for quite a few empty house trailers and debit cards for "refugees" to spend.

So what happened? FEMA, stung by criticism that they didn't deliver supplies fast enough to those affected by Hurricane Katrina, put into position all this food in case another hurricane came along. It never happened....and so it all went to waste. Add this to the $900 million on trailers that were never used, the $1.8 billion spent on hotels and cruise ship rooms...well, the list goes on and on. Oh ... and don't forget the hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of ice FEMA stored in Florida last year. Senator Joe Lieberman called it a senseless waste of taxpayer money...no kidding.

And just where is the outrage against the global warming crowd that predicted the record hurricane season? Maybe we should charge them the $40 million for all the food that was thrown out.

The District Attorney who persecuted the 3 Duke LaCrosse players for a rape and kidnapping that never took place has apologized...sort of. "To the extent" that he made judgments that later proved incorrect, he says. Hey...it could happen to anybody, right? There goes the law license.

So with Don Imus erased from the airwaves, the next question that is going to be on a lot of people's minds is this: just what are you allowed to say on TV and radio? Time magazine has a piece out today that attempts to answer that question.

Here's an interesting phenomenon....many illegal aliens are actually filing and paying taxes. It turns out that if you're in the country illegally, you can still get a Tax ID number...and the IRS handed out 1.5 million of them last year. Should we still deport people that pay taxes? Actually, it's not really even up for debate...since we don't actually deport illegal aliens anymore.

Don Imus was just the beginning...the left is now continuing its all-out jihad against talk radio. The group Media Matters says it's time to clean up the rest of talk radio...and names several supposed pushers of hate speech, including yours truly.

Here's a shocking announcement: the FCC is not expected to take any action in the Don Imus matter. But the complaints are still expected to undergo the normal review process...however, I guess we do still have a First Amendment. For now. Give Sharpton time.

Ann Coulter says Don Imus should apologize to the girls at Rutgers University and that's it...nobody else. She also points out that Imus could have called her a ho instead...and there would have been no problem. Although she specified "flaxen-haired ho."

Now here comes Hillary Clinton...inserting herself into the Rutgers/Imus controversy. She's going to be making a speech there on Monday. Would she have been making that speech had the whole Imus thing not blown up? Of course not.

Charles Krauthammer says the troop surge in Iraq is working...and to see it, all you have to do is look at Baghdad. Not that it matters to the surrender-obsessed Democrats. It doesn't matter how well we rebound in Iraq...it's just not on on their agenda.

Pat Buchanan calls Don Imus' comments unthinking and stupid, but that's about it. He also compares what was said on that show to the endless slandering of the three Duke Lacrosse players for over a year...for something they didn't do. Where's the outrage on that one?

Wow, was this guy lucky or was someone watching out for him?

Some government officials down in Louisiana aren't too happy with Ed. I wonder why?
