FAIRTAX RALLY IN COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA

Yesterday after the show I had lunch with Herman Cain and two officials from Americans for Fair Taxation. The purpose of our meeting was .... to eat. Oh, and to discuss the FairTax rally scheduled for three weeks from last night in Columbia, South Carolina.

Here's the background. On Tuesday, May 15th, Fox News Channel will host a Republican presidential debate in Columbia. Since South Carolina is vital to the hopes of every Republican seeking the nomination, they will all be there. We have secured the 10,000 Carolina Coliseum at the University of South Carolina for the rally. The location is virtually right across the parking lot from the Fox News Channel debate. The rally starts at approximately 5 p.m.

It's time to act. The Republicans have absolutely nothing going for them in the 2008 election. The only advantage they have with the brighter voters out there is that they are not Democrats. These candidates need to see that the FairTax is just the type of agenda that can drive people to the polls. And how do we show them that? By showing them that the FairTax can drive 10,000 people to Columbia for a rally.

Since the rally is scheduled for 5:00 p.m., you can easily drive to Columbia from Atlanta and other points in the Southeast, attend the rally, and still be back in your beds that evening.

Within a day or two I'll have a link here with more information on the rally. For now ... just mark the date, and make the decision to become part of the solution. Standing by is no longer an option.

RUDY WARNS OF ANOTHER 9/11 ....

.... if the Democrats win, that is. Giuliani says, however, that if a Republican is elected another terrorist attack can be anticipated and stopped because, he says, Republicans will remain on the offense. "I listen a little to the Democrats and if one of them gets elected, we are going on defense. We will wave the white flag on Iraq. We will cut back on the Patriot Act, electronic surveillance, interrogation and we will be back to our pre-Sept. 11 attitude of defense."

Giuliani also says that the Democrats do not understand the threat of the "terrorist war against us." Uh oh ... did you notice a bit of PC in that statement? How about the "Islamic terrorist war against us"?

Giuliani has much of this right. Democrats will absolutely go on the defense as soon as they can .. and a defensive posture before these Islamic murderers is suicide. Simply put ... we have identify them and go kill them over there before they come and kill us over here. But why allow political correctness play such a role here? The enemy is radical Islam. How can we say we are serious about fighting the enemy if we won't even speak its name?

MODERATE MUSLIMS SPEAK OUT --- AND ARE SILENCED.

Why won't PBS run with this story? There's a new documentary out there called "Islam vs. Islamists: Voices from the Muslim Center." This documentary was produced by moderate Muslims who oppose the Islamist agenda ... and who are willing to actually put their safety on the line by speaking out.

The film was produced with taxpayer dollars --- about 600,000 of them -- and was supposed to be a part of a series on PBS. Now PBS isn't going to run it. And why not? Because the film says that Islamists are working to build a parallel society and a parallel system of laws in the West. The West, for those of you educated in government schools, would include Europe and the United States. The documentary says that the Islamic radicals are intent on enforcing a strict system of Islamic law that would be imposed in selected areas outside of the framework of the laws of that particular country.

So .. as I asked ... why has PBS decided not to run the film? Because, says PBS's Robert MacNeil, it is just too "one-sided." Besides that, it's "alarmist."

Alarmist? Just what is the problem there? If this is the design of the Islamists why shouldn't we be sounding an alarm?

And ... the laugh of the day just has to be PBS saying that they're not going to run something because it's "one-sided."

All of this sure makes us look mighty strong in the face of the Islamic jihad, doesn't it? Here's your story.
