OK .. SO SHE'S IN
Well, well. Big surprise.
Hillary
Rodham has decided that she's in, and she's "in to win."
Oh goody. The news over the weekend really wasn't that
Hillary is in the presidential race; the news is that the media treated it as
such a stunning surprise. To listen to CNN on Saturday, you would have
thought that nothing was going on anywhere else in the entire known world.
Now was it just me, or did the mainstream media sound positively orgasmic over
Clinton's announcement? The New Hampshire primary is one year away --
unless they move it up. There is plenty of time to watch Hillary and tell
you the stories you won't see in the mainstream media. Let's just cover
the basics: - Hillary Clinton is vicious. There is
absolutely nothing that she won't do to gain the political power she has
been coveting for most of her life. She is a cold-blooded politician
who will take no prisoners in her quest for the presidency.
- Hillary Clinton heads the list of those who
think that America is great because of its government.
- Hillary Clinton believes that Americans get
their rights from government. If you don't know why this is a
dangerous attitude, you probably attended government schools.
- Speaking of government schools, with Hillary
Rodham you can forget the idea of school choice. The teacher's unions
will continue to run the show.
- Hillary holds our military is complete
disdain. Remember, this is the woman who had U.S. Marines in their
dress blue uniforms serving cheese and crackers to guests at White House
functions. When her husband was president there were repeated stories
that Hillary's White House staff showed deliberate rudeness to military
personnel. In one story you've probably forgotten a Hillary aid in the
White House once told a uniformed military office that "We don't talk
to people in military uniforms in this office."
- Hillary tried to implement a health care plan
that would have made it a crime for you to use your own dollars to hire your
own doctor. Now think about that for a moment. How much else do
you need to know? She actually wanted to make it a crime for you to
arrange for your own medical care outside of her great Hillarycare system
using your own dollars. Picture this. You're sitting in a jail
cell. Your cellmate is in there for bank robbery. He looks at
you and says "So, what did you do?" You tell him "Oh
... I tried to hire a doctor with my own money to take care of a medical
problem." That, my friends, is Hillary's America.
- Hillary Rodham is a disgrace to the
institution of marriage. That relationship she has with Bill Clinton
is no marriage at all. It is a political partnership entered into for
the purpose of acquiring and maintaining political power. Nothing
more.
- Hillary has not only tolerated her
"husband's" many trysts with other women, she has been actively
engaged in, and sometimes led, the effort to destroy any of these women who
dared to step forward to complain.
- She is fundamentally dishonest ... almost pathologically
dishonest. Perhaps the greatest example of her innate dishonesty would
be the saga of the Rose Law Firm billing records. The congress served
a subpoena on Hillary for those records. She said that she did not
have them. For two years she denied that those records were in her
possession, and in fact suggested that they may not exist at all.
Then, two years after the subpoena was served, those very records were found
in her private living quarters at the White House. Not only were they
found, but they had her fingerprints and handwriting all over them. In
other words .. she lied.
- Hillary Clinton is anti-individual. When
discussing her socialized medicine plan with a group of Republican
congressmen in 1993 Hillary said "We have to stop thinking of the
individual and start thinking about what is best for society." No
.. she's wrong. We have to start thinking about what it would be like
to have a president who put the common good above individual rights.
Hillary Rodham is part and parcel of the war on individualism.
A bit more about Hillary Rodham and your
health care: Now that Hillary Clinton is officially in the
race, she is choosing health care as her signature issue. What a great
idea...it worked so
well before. By the way, anybody notice how it was warm and sunny out her
office window in her videotaped announcement that she was running? Seems
like that little piece of tape was recorded in advance. Many people have
noticed, by the way. There's late word that the announcement was indeed
taped in Washington last week. Maybe it's a fake tree in the window behind
her. Who knows. But back to health care.
So what is Hillary's health care proposal going to be this time? Things
didn't work out so well 13 years ago when she proposed a government takeover of
the medical industry. Says The Hildabeast: "I will be
introducing legislation to make quality, affordable health care available to
every child in America." What does that mean? just covering
children? It would seem so. Well, according to Hillary...anyone
would be able to buy into her program. And just how much is all of this
going to cost? Naturally, no mention of the price tag. But suffice
it to say that if Hillary Clinton becomes president of the United States, your
earnings will be confiscated to pay for other people's health care. Just
get used to the idea.
And don't buy for a minute this routine that Hillary Clinton only jumped in
because Barack Obama forced her to. She has been planning this move for
decades...and everything unfolding right now is part of that plan. It all
goes back to when she was running things and wearing the pants in her husband's
administration. Except now it's her turn.
Know this. If Hillary Clinton becomes
President Rodham, and if the Democrats increase their hold on power in the
congress, this will be the last presidential election in which talk radio will
play any significant part at all. Though I've been telling you this
for years, it has become clear in the last few weeks that Democrats plan to
destroy talk radio with the resurrection of the so-called "Fairness
Doctrine." See the next item: SENATORS ATTACK A TALK SHOW HOST
OK .. so the Senators are in St. Croix. For
those of you who went to government schools, St. Croix is part of the U.S.
Virgin Islands, and the radio stations on St. Croix are subject to regulation
from the Federal Communications Commission.
There is a talk show host named Roger Morgan at
93.5 FM. Morgan has been actively promoting a recall effort for four St.
Croix Senators because they voted a nice fat little pay raise for
themselves. Now
these senators have sent a letter to the FCC asking that
Morgan's efforts to buy the radio station that carries his show be
blocked. The letter from the senators says that Morgan is trying to
"destabilize the legislative branch of government .. and to promote
divisiveness within the St. Croix community." Just think about it folks. Think about how
politicians will try to use the police power of government to shut down those
who speak out against them. The First Amendment prevents them from doing
this with the printed media ... but broadcasting it another matter. Can't you imagine the Democrats accusing Rush
Limbaugh of trying to destabilize the Congress? If you can't, you're not trying hard enough. MAKING ENGLISH
THE OFFICIAL LANGUAGE
How many times have you called customer service at some bank or airline or
whatever and been told to "press 1 for English?" Notice how over
the course of the past 10 or 20 years, we've slowly become a nation where
Spanish and English are now side by side...as if we live in South America or
something. This trend directly correlates with the timeline of the Mexican
invasion....and with 12 million illegal invaders in this country, businesses
have responded.
But more and more, people have had enough. There is a new
movement afoot
to make English the official language. Efforts have failed in the past,
but not this time. The last time a serious bill was proposed in the House,
it got 160 co-sponsors. Not bad. The bill would require only that
federal funds not be spent on bilingual material. Too bad...I guess it is
a free country...the feds can't do anything about the bank or the airlines or
whomever.
Expect opposition from the usual suspects. But really, it's about time.
English is the official language in the United States and has been for over 200
years. If you're going to come here, you should have to learn the
language. That language is English. You should have to assimilate
yourself into American culture. The fact that taxpayer dollars are spent
teaching people Spanish is an outrage.
Maybe...just maybe something will get passed. It will be fun watching
politicians sweat over the vote.
HUGO CHAVEZ TELLS US WHERE TO GO
Venezuelan thug dictator
Hugo Chavez is telling the United States to go to hell.
That's nice. How about we tell him and his oil to go to hell? That
might put just a little crimp in his wallet, but he would certainly change his
tune. You see, Hugo Chavez exists only because his country has oil...and a
lot of it. We buy a lot of said oil from Venezuela....and that government
even owns one of the large oil companies operating in this country...Citgo.
So they're a big player.
So why would Chavez tell one of his biggest customers to go to hell? The
answer is simple...because he can. He knows he can impress his tyrant
friends around the world by telling us off and getting away with it...because we
need the oil. How about we tell him off? The only way we can do that
is by increasing our domestic production to the point where we don't need his
oil. But the Democrats won't have that....drilling for oil in the United
States is bad to the Left. Energy independence is bad for the left.
So we have to put up with it. Hugo Chavez will continue amassing power in
Venezuela...becoming an all-powerful dictator at the expense of democracy.
These are the people we continue to do business with because we refuse to drill
for oil in Alaska and off the coast of Florida. With Nancy Pelosi and
Harry Reid running the show on Capitol Hill, get used to it.
Each day this week, until we run out of them, we'll look at the most popular myths in science and see how you do at guessing if they are true or not. |
YESTERDAY'S PLAYOFF GAMES
First .. what do I know? I don't live, eat
and breathe pro sports. Enjoy? Yes .. but I know that no matter how
these games go they are not going to change my life, either for the better or
for the worse. They're entertainment. Nothing more.
This is a time of great glee for politicians from
the local to the federal level who want to solidify their positions of power and
privilege. They know that America is consumed with football. It's
all about Indianapolis and Chicago. Time to move on new legislative
initiatives while the public is distracted? But, then, when isn't the
public distracted? Think about all the things that occupy our attention
but, in the end, mean nothing. Sports, Hollywood, the Oscars, American
Idol. Oh .. and let's not forget the great quadrennial presidential beauty
contest. While we chase the latest news about Hillary, McCain, Obama,
Romney and the rest out congress works to centralize even more of our governance
to Washington DC. But back to football. I was rooting for New
Orleans and Indy. Chicago is fine ... I love Chicago ... but I have a
larger audience in New Orleans and have some strong feelings about my friends
there who are beleaguered by a pitiful mayor, an incompetent governor and a
crime rate beyond imagination. Fact is, I'm enjoying sports less and less.
It seems that a thug culture is starting to infiltrate all professional
sports. Basketball seems to be wholly owned by this gangster
culture. Football is getting there. Don't smile. Whatever you
do, for God's sake, don't smile. Remember .. you're supposed to be mad and
bad. You're a victim. Your people are victims. Victims don't
smile. Victims don't' enjoy life. The scowl. A permanent part
of your presentation to the world ... every morning before you go out don't
forget your scow. I know it's just me -- and perhaps I should seek
professional help -- but I just sick to death of the tattoos. These
people look like graffiti-covered ghetto walls. Will I watch the Super Bowl? Probably so
... but it will be for the commercials. I'll be watching to enjoy the
creativity of our free enterprise system, not to watch a bunch of scowling,
graffiti-covered thugs play the "hey, look at me!" game every time
they score a touchdown, catch a pass or sack a quarterback. Boy .. am I a fun sponge or what? So, maybe Vick is innocent and wasn't trying to smuggle a little herbal refreshment onto the plane last week. That's okay, there's a photoshop for that too.

REDNECK SCRAP BOOK A special bus for special
redneck kids. More in the
Redneck Scrap Book.
READING ASSIGNMENTS Now here's an interesting question: Just
when did Hillary Rodham tape her little "I'm in" video?
Hint: Those are leaves on the trees in the background ... and flowers ...
and it's January at both of her northeast homes. Same old Rodham ...
always just a bit dishonest. This thing has been sitting around for
months. This is true Hillary. Everything is carefully rehearsed and
planned well in advance. No thinking-on-your-feet for this girl! Victor Davis Hanson says that nothing can help
the Democrats if they bring about a failure in Iraq. That, my friends, is
exactly what they wish to do. Read
this and see if you want to follow the Democrat plan of surrender. Now here's a good question from Rich
Lowery: "If we were to leave Iraq and it descended into a genocidal bloodletting,
would the George Clooneys of the world favor a new intervention on humanitarian grounds?" Thanks to a listener for this heads-up. A
rather interesting offering from Walmart.com. Golly! I wonder
why the cover art isn't available? Did you know that today is supposed to be the most
miserable day of the year? Yeah .. that's right. Let a bunch of
shrinks tell you that you should be near-suicidal today. My guess would be
this is because your Christmas shopping credit card bills are coming in. How
about some stupid product warnings ... a reminder of a legal system gone
amuck. Loser pays anyone? This from Fark.com So why did Hillary Clinton enter the presidential race so early?
Two words: Barack Obama. Evidently she was more than a bit peeved by his
rising poll numbers and had to jump in and get started. But she's still in
fourth place in Iowa.
Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich says he'll enter the presidential race....but
only as a last resort. He said he's going to try and advance his ideas through
other candidates first. It would make an interesting race if he jumped in.
President Bush's State of the Union address is coming up...so
just what is his record on getting his proposals in the State of the Union
speech actually passed into law? If you go by last year's speech...3 out of
12. All that was passed was the Patriot Act, health savings accounts and
electronic medical records. That's it.
Robert Novak has harsh words for the Democrats' student loan legislation.
He says that it will do nothing to really reduce the interest rate charged on
student loans and will actually make college more expensive. And it will cost
$7 billion dollars. Yay!
Now that we've got The Hildabeast running against the Prophet Obama and several
candidates milling about on the Republican side,
Michael Barone assesses the 2008 lineup. It's actually not that long until
we pick our next president of the United States.
Michelle Malkin calls out the Associated Press on their Iraq reporting. It
turns out they are using a source that doesn't exist...and are even reporting
the destruction of mosques that are still standing. Way to go, AP. Their lack
of fact-checking naturally serves their convenient anti-American agenda.
Dinesh D'Souza has a new book out about how the Left is responsible for 9/11
and in it, he shoots down some of the information circulating out there about
the wrongs committed by the United States. Turns out a lot of it isn't true.
Don't miss this one. And just for kicks, check out
the video
of Dinesh on the Colbert Report.
It seems arrests are up at Hartsfield-Jackson airport for public indecency.
Professor Mike Adams notes that some of the arrests include members of academia
and that's just too good to pass up for a topic in his column. Warning:
contains naughty language that may not be safe for work.
There is a bill being proposed in the state of California that would ban
spanking. Should it be banned?
Debra Saunders weighs in...and says the law would take kids away from their
parents and put the adults in jail. As the Left likes to say, this would
have a chilling effect on parenting.
Star Parker looks closely at the ethics legislation passed by the House and
Senate...and says it doesn't pass muster. In fact, she says it's so full of
holes, she can't stop laughing. The problem with it? It doesn't change a
thing. |
