Well now ... let's see. Some slow-spreading cancers kill, and some Muslims kill. Do you see the problem here? I sure don't. Last year in London we had bombers in subways. Fifty-two were killed. Earlier this year a plot was foiled to blow up airliners en route from the UK to the USA. In the past week there have been three fizzled car bombs. Does anyone see the attacks abating? Sure doesn't look like that to me. Islamic radicalism and violence is spreading .. and, like cancer, it kills. Cal Thomas had it right. CAIR, though, would very much like to Imus Cal Thomas. They're urging calls to the radio station on which Thomas made his remarks and, taking a cue from Media Myrmidons, they're putting names and phone numbers on their website for people to call and "express concern." Why not call CAIR and express some concern?
Come on, folks. WAKE UP! Read that last statement again; the one from Omar Ahmad. He's no small-time CAIR operative, my friends. He's the Chairman Emeritus! Here, let me help you by highlighting his comment just a wee bit. Tell you what ... I'll put it in red, the color of the blood that Islamic radicals spill wherever and whenever they can --- then I'll enlarge the type. Then I think I'll tuck it away in a box. Maybe it will attract some attention.
Every single newspaper in America that gives a flying you-know-what about this country, and that regularly act as conduits for CAIR and their phony over-emotional hand-wringing over perceived slights to the wonderful, peaceful religion of Islam, should run this quote in red, and in a box above the fold on the front page of their next edition. Yeah, I know. Fat chance. If you really want some insight as to what this CAIR crowd is all about, take a look at the "Action alerts" on the CAIR website. You'll see that the first one (as of Wednesday afternoon) was a request that Muslims and CAIR supporters call WTOP-FM in Washington DC to protest Cal Thomas' "Islamophobia." To CAIR, a concern about Islamic terrorism is "Islamophobia." Now ... look at the rest of the action alerts. They also have "incitement" alerts. Take a look. See if you can find one single action alert where Muslims are asked to call anyone or take any action to protest an Islamic terrorist attack or any statement made by an Islamic leader that could be considered as expressing hatred of or calling for violence against America or Americans. See if there is one "incitement" alert listed for any remarks by Muslims directed at non-Muslims. I went back through over one year of these alerts ... and found nothing. Someone out there is trying to kill us. Some people out there are trying to destroy our culture and our very way of life in this country. These people don't care who they kill -- women and children and just fine - to achieve their goals. CAIR is trying to protect these people; to convince the American people that they don't truly exist. If you're still in the mood for calling ... how about calling your local newspaper the next time they quote a CAIR spokesmen and ask them why you had to read this stuff on Nealz Nuze.
Simply put ... Brown is wrong. There was common traits among the terrorists who launched the attacks last weekend. They were all Muslims. Not one Anglican, Jew, Catholic or Baptist among them. We almost had another common element ... most of them were physicians. They were acting in the name of "Allah." They were fueled with hatred for the Western societies in which they openly practiced medicine, prayed in freedom at mosques existing next to churches and temples, and were allowed to openly practice their religion in peace. Don't hide it. Identify them for what they were. Identify then with the ideology that drives them. Muslim! Islamists! Now here is a shining example of European passiveness. This is a quote from a London citizen: "They're focusing on terrorists as criminals, rather than people of a religious persuasion." Say what? My God! Are these people asleep over there? These bloody wannabe killers are just common criminals without any real religious motivation behind their acts? What's going on here? Well .. .I'll tell you. The Muslim presence in Great Britain, as well as the rest of Western Europe, is so strong that the Brits are just flat-out afraid of riling them up. Who knows, they might do something really ugly if we keep calling them out. This is a superlative show of weakness. Now we see why the Brits will continue to be attacked by these Islamic murderers. They're afraid to acknowledge the real problem .... I mean, good Lord, it might offend anyone. Now here's a fancy headline, "Those who cure you will kill you." Here's a better headline, "Muslims who cure you could kill you." Oops, didn't mean to offend. Maybe I can get CAIR on my butt.
Isn't that terrible of the President? How dare he show physical exertion in public? It's blasphemy! Apparently jogging, according to French society, is "un-French, right-wing and even a ploy to brainwash his citizens." Wow ... maybe I should have run the Peachtree Road Race - Think of how many people I could have brainwashed with my salivating "right-wing," "un-French" pace down Peachtree! The French are suspicious that jogging is for self-centered individualists such as the Americans who popularized it. Did you get that folks? Now, if you want to throw on your jogging shoes, not only are you more American than ever, but you are also self-centered! How can a country be so completely screwed up? Is it any wonder that the Germans go right through these people like brown sauce through a goose any time they get the urge to do so? Now let me explain this to you. This is French logic, at its best. Actually, we are going to let Alain Finkelkraut 'splain it to you. She is a philosopher - similar to a talk-radio host ... wouldn't you say? Well Alain says, "Western civilization, in its best sense, was born with the promenade. Walking is a sensitive, spiritual act. Jogging is management of the body. The jogger says I am in control. It has nothing to do with meditation." And there you have it. Your body is not yours to control, got it? Yeah, try telling me that when I have a bowel movement I need to control ... is that un-French too? Jogging .... Just too "individualistic" for the French candy-asses.
That according to his mommy, Margaret Benoit. She wonders whether her son would still be alive if federal agents had been more aggressive when they discovered the professional wrestler was buying large quantities of steroids. Yep, you read the correctly. Forget personal responsibility ... just blame the government! It is the government's fault for not stopping him. It is the government's fault for not being more aggressive and trying to run her son's life -- telling him what to do, what to eat, what to drink, and what steroids to pump and not pump. Say, Mrs. Benoit. Maybe you are to blame for your son's death! Clearly you taught him nothing about personal responsibility. You, as his parent, did not teach him about how drugs could not only affect yourself, but your friends and family too. And did you, as his own mother, try to stop him? No. Maybe if you had taken responsibility for your own son, and been more "aggressive" with him, you would still have a son, daughter in-law and grandchild. Does this give the rest of us a ready-made excuse for our addictive behavior? It's not our fault! It's the government's! The government should step in here and stop me! Who do you think I am? An individual responsible for my own actions? What kind of a right-wing, self-involved, jogging monster are you? Hey ... I shouldn't have to tell you this, but it is not the government's job to regulate stupidity ... there are not enough tax dollars in the world that could handle that job.
Oh yeah .. it's not like I didn't tell you it was going to be this way. Hillary always likes for every one her public appearances to be carefully scripted and choreographed. No surprises. She doesn't think fast enough to handle the unexpected. When Hillary campaigned for her New York Senate seat the media and the supporters were manipulated so as to make her look good at every turn. Well, now it would seem that the New York Times is getting a bit upset with all of the structuring. One NYT reporter, Patrick Healy, has complained to fellow reporters about being excluded from some Clinton campaign events. Not just him, but all of the media. Here's your story. Get used to this treatment, Mr. Healy. Hillary is going to be around for quite a while. You think things are bad now --- wait until after she's sworn in. READING ASSIGNMENTS Victor Davis Hanson (incredible writer) offers his thoughts on the revolt over illegal immigration. An excellent John Stossel column about a conversation with Michael Moore. Moore apparently doesn't understand that government is force? How could someone not understand this? We may have forgotten this over the last month. Perhaps the Islamic terrorist attacks in London and Glasgow over the past weekend prodded our memory. Terrorism ... ISLAMIC terrorism ... is still the number one issue. Read this from Daniel Henniger. And just how would the people of this country react to another (inevitable) Islamic terror attack? David Ignatius has some ideas. Jack Kelly gets this one right about Bush's decision to commute Libby's sentence: "'Scooter' Libby will serve as much time in prison for lying under oath to a federal grand jury as Bill Clinton served for lying under oath to a federal grand jury." Music sales are off ... again. Seven years in a row. Who knew they were still making music? It's all rap and urban yodeling. Now that amnesty is dead (for now), what does this mean for the assimilation of all those millions of illegal aliens left in this country? Better assimilate now, before the border is closed and you can't hop back over to Mexico when times get tough. Generally I don't like Fourth of July articles about "our great nation" ... but Thomas Sowell makes a good point that Americans take their lives for granted, being more concerned about where Paris got her interview outfit she wore on Larry King, than preserving our freedom as individuals. Ok, so now it is time to close the border. Let's do it. Bush and Congress know that is what the people want. Secure the border and stop the flood of millions of criminals. Some liberals out there will have you think that London is "winning" its war against Islamic extremism because of its "open society" and "liberal values." Would they still feel the same way if the plots had actually been successful? Environmentalists in California are whining because Arnold's plans to combat aren't going quickly enough. So they are quitting ... I am assume to go and hug a tree, because that is a logical solution in the eyes of an environmentalist. Russia and the US still can't agree on missile defense in Europe ... looks like that lobster dinner up in Maine didn't really do much good. Anyone interested in attending the Wahhabism conference this weekend? They are seeking young professionals, particularly students, to join in their fight to either convert or kill non-believers of Islam. Sounds like a peaceful conference to me! (Ugh.) Aww ... people in New Jersey are upset because their government refuses to spruce up the graves of signers of the Declaration of Independence. People really need to get their priorities straight. Let's call it sexist and move on! In Italy they have opened an all-female beach. Why? Because, to quote one Italian woman, "[men] are such a drag." Here's some luggage you'll have no trouble spotting at baggage claim. | ||
