TELL ME IF YOU’VE HEARD THIS BEFORE

This time it happened in Columbia, Tennessee. Juan Villa has been in the Maury County jail 11 times. Charges? Let’s see ….. assault, public intoxication, driving without a license, contempt of court .. .the usual stuff. Eleven times since 2001.

Juan’s last visit to the local hoosegow ended last Friday at about 9:45 p.m. Less than three hours later, just after midnight, Juan celebrated his freedom (a friend bailed him out) by raping a 15-year-old girl.

You know where this is going, don’t you? Yup … you got it. Juan is most likely an illegal alien. Yeah .. the county authorities had notified the feds, but the feds were just too busy to do anything right away. They said they would deal with Juan later. Trouble is, Juan dealt with the 15-year-old before the feds could deal with him.

Well see how long Juan stays in jail this time. In the meantime, local illegal immigration advocates are voicing their concern. No .. not about Juan raping this girl, but about the fact that the Maury County Sheriff’s Department has detained about 80 illegal aliens since May. They’re yelling racial profiling.

And so it goes. The endless story.

BRITAIN’S “COMMUNITY COHESION”

I’ve already told you of the new vocabulary in British Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s fight against terrorism … or should I say, lack of vocabulary – no “Muslim,” no “Islam,” no “war on terror.” Fine Mr. Brown. If that is what you call combating terrorism … then it is your country.

But even people who oppose Brown are submitting to this PC rhetoric. In fact, they might be even worse than Mr. Brown himself.

David Cameron is Gordon Brown’s conservative opponent. He’s the leader of the opposition – or in this country we would call it the minority party. As the opposing party, you would think that Cameron would challenge Brown’s policies … wrong. In fact, Cameron wants to censor the word “Islamist” from all political discourse.

And Cameron has what is called a shadow cabinet – basically, his cronies and advisors that he can appoint. Last week he promoted two junior ministers. One of them is Sayeeda Warsi. She’s a Muslim. Fine. She is to be the Secretary of Community Cohesion … whatever the hell that is. So Ms. Warsi is basically the highest ranking Muslim in British politics. Now isn’t that special. Thus far we haven’t been able to confirm any Brits in high government positions in Syria, Iran, or Saudi Arabia.

Now … let’s do a little research on Ms. Warsi. Things come up smelling more like a camel than like a rose. Not only does regularly butt heads with her own party, but she is focused on “community cohesion” … except when it comes to Muslims. She opposed the war in Iraq. She welcomed the election of Hamas. She opposed anti-terror laws. She denies the fact that extremism is a problem for British Muslims. Ms. Warsi says, "When you say this is something that the Muslim community needs to weed out, or deal with, that is a very dangerous step to take." And this is the woman whom Cameron has given the reigns. She’ll steer Britain toward a peaceful nation all right.

MEN ARE YAPPERS TOO

And all this time, you thought that Belinda was the gabby one. Turns out that I might talk just as much as she does! A study shows that there is only a slight difference between the number of words men will use in a conversation compared to the number of words women will use. Men use about 546 words in the average conversation.

See all this time, we thought that women talked more. They got flack for it. They developed a “stereotype.” Oh no! And all this was based on some magazine article that said woman would use 20,000 words per day, versus men who would use 7,000. That’s a big difference!

But guess what … there was no evidence to back that up. Probably some flat-belly who wrote the article for some chick magazine. So these new researchers decided to stick microphones on college students – yes, college students – and record the number of words they say in day. We can only imagine the mindless conversations composed of those words … but hey, at least we’re equal! Liberals just love it when that happens.

I wonder how many times those mics picked up the word “like” and the phrase “you know whut am sayin’?”

IT’S UNIONS, OBAMA

Obama is preaching to the choir. He made a little speech at the National Education Association's annual convention – you know, the largest teacher’s union in the country, ruining the minds of children each and every day with their government indoctrination.

Now what is wrong with this statement Obama made. He was talking about instituting a system of merit pay for teachers, an idea government school teachers absolutely despise. Barry said that it may be possible to: "find new ways to increase pay that are developed with teachers, not imposed on them and not based on some arbitrary test score."

OK .. now just what is B.H. Obama talking about? I’ll tell you .. he’s talking about finding a way to institute some sort of merit pay, but to largely leave it up to the wonderful teacher’s unions to figure out how it will be done. In other words .. more power for the teacher’s unions.

Barack is no dummy. He knows that the teacher’s unions are the most powerful unions in the country, and he isn’t about to cross them. Merit pay? Maybe. But let the unions handle it. Yeah … that should work just fine for the quality of our education. If you listened to the government outrage portion of the Information Overload Hour yesterday, you heard how the teachers union in New York City reward teacher merit. The NYC unions make it all but impossible to fire an incompetent or criminally oriented teacher. These are the people we want deciding on which teachers deserve merit pay. Out of 80,000 teachers in NYC, school officials have only been able to fire two in the past few years. Just two. Union protectionism. These teacher’s unions work overtime to protect incompetency. Now we want to give them a hand in determining merit pay? Are we nuts?

Barack will not be working with teachers to come up with solutions, he will be working with unions. Get it right. But this is what the public thinks it wants. Pay the teachers more and they will do a better job of indoctrinating our children, making sure that they share properly and have no ambition to succeed or stand out.

BOORTZ GOT THIS ONE WRONG ---- WELL, SORT OF ….

Once again I would like to thank the bedwetters at Media Myrmidons for a little publicity yesterday. As with other talk shows, the Boortz show surely does have a promotions budget --- but the Brock/Soros crowd over there at MM sure helps us maximize our PR efforts.

Media Myrmidons gave me some publicity yesterday over something that I said not once, but several times during the show. Technically, I was wrong … so kudos to MM.

Ok … here’s the deal. On Wednesday Jack Kielly, the National Secrity Writer for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, wrote a nationally syndicated column that led off with this paragraph:

“’Scooter’ Libby will serve as much time in prison for lying under oath to a federal grand jury as Bill Clinton served for lying under oath to a federal grand jury.”

That statement is factually correct. The way I conveyed to my listeners what Jack Kelly had written was not. I used the word “convicted” in referring to Clinton. It is certainly true that Clinton lied under oath to a grand jury. Clinton agreed to a plea bargain with independent counsel Robert Ray in which he admitted that he gave misleading testimony to the grand jury. That’s the politically correct way of saying “I lied.” In exchange for the admission, and Clinton’s acceptance of a five-year suspension of his law license in Arkansas and the payment of $25,000 in attorney’s fees, Ray agreed not to indict Clinton for perjury.

Are you following this? Clinton admitted to “misleading testimony”, paid a fine, accepted other punishment, in exchange for not being charged with perjury. By the way, the U.S. Supreme Court later took away Clinton’s privileges as a result of his admission.

The fact remains: Libby and Clinton both lied before a federal grand jury. Neither spent any time in jail. Liberals see that as good for Clinton, bad for Libby. Conservatives see it exactly the opposite.

So … there you go. Clinton wasn’t “convicted.” He just admitted it.

My bad.

IRANIAN TV … FAIR AND BALANCED

I brought you a story earlier this week about the Iranian government launching its own, state-run TV station (because we all know how much dictators enjoy state-run media – and potential dictators, people like Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Lindsey Graham). Well I just thought I would give you a little taste of the “fair” and “balanced” headlines it has run in the past two days.

"America Planning a Coup on Saudi Arabia!"
"Israeli Tank Kills Family!"
"Iran, Land of Religion,"

Sounds like good and honest journalism if I’ve ever heard. And then if you didn’t get enough on TV, you can just go to the website! Oh goody.

One story on Jihad TV contained this line: "Is it really the al Qaeda who launched this attack or is it another interested party framing the Muslim nation by pointing the finger of blame at a terrorist group shunned by the Muslims?"

And did you know that the U.S. and Israel are responsible for the violence between Hamas and Fatah?

Wow, I had no idea! Thank you, Iran for enlightening me.

READING ASSIGNMENTS

Here’s a great article about the British health system and how it has been able to breed such terrorists and go unnoticed.

These Muslim doctors are no threat to the U.S., right? Wrong. Internet conversations reveal that they were targeting a U.S. Navy ship in Jacksonville.

Yeah, a peaceful religion all right … these men are using women and children as human shields in an on-going hostage situation at a mosque in Pakistan.

Darn! Al Gore says he has “fallen out of love with politics.” Meaning: he may not be running for President. But I tell you what, when he decides to endorse Hillary or Obama … you will see every environmental cultist suckling at the teat of that candidate.

Isn’t this sad … Microsoft is upset because U.S. immigration laws are preventing them from hiring foreigners. Here’s a concept – maybe if we stopped educating our children in government schools, we would be able to produce enough talent in the U.S. so that companies wouldn’t have to hire foreigners to begin with!

The Senate is keeping busy, passing all sorts of pointless legislation. Now their main focus is U.S. tourism. Europeans, it seems, are upset because it is tough to get into the U.S. Maybe they should try to just come up through Mexico!

And don’t worry, the House is at it too! The House Judiciary committee will look into the act of presidential pardons. Don’t worry, they are going to include Bush, and Clinton, and Nixon and … hey, look at that, maybe even Andrew Jackson or Adams or Jefferson! What a waste of time.

Now these parents should be proud, because they have one hell-of-a kid who has yet to be wussified by government schools. The 5-year-old tackled a rabid fox during a family cookout, in order to protect his other siblings. I think there should be a Cub Scout badge for that one! This kid hasn’t spent enough time in government schools to know that he’s supposed to cringe and succumb in the face of danger, not get aggressive on us!

The headline of this article is just too good, I couldn’t pass it up: “Fat People are Killing Polar Bears.” What are they doing, sitting on them? Or are Polar Bears choking on lard asses.

A four-year-old girl called 911 nearly 300 times. Police finally found out where she lived by promising to deliver MacDonald’s to the little girl. They showed up all right … empty handed. The little girl no longer has a cell phone.
