Do any of these people have TB? No. That doesn't matter. Their lawyers says that just because they don't have TB now doesn't mean that they won't get it many years in the future. This is nothing but a hunt for money. These people aren't the least bit afraid that they're going to get sick. They just figured out that they were on the same airplane with Speaker, and decided to see of they can get some cash out of it yet. This is why we need a loser pays system. If these people prevail; if they convince a jury that their cause is just and they get a monetary award, fine. If not, they should cover every penny of legal expenses incurred by Speaker. They're using the American legal system as a giant lottery, but Speaker is having to pay for the lottery tickets. There is, however, just a bit of irony here. Speaker is a personal injury lawyer. If he weren't part of the story would he be eager to file these lawsuits himself? Get Speaker's side of the story! Andrew Speaker called in to the show today. If you missed it, here what he had to say about this here: download | stream Civil rights activists are attacking NYC school Chancellor Joel Klein's racial integration policies, because he says they are no longer necessary for city schools. According to a 2003 study (conducted by civil rights activists), New York government schools are the most segregated in the country. Activists' solution is to bus student from surrounding suburbs into New York City schools. New York City schools are three quarters black or Hispanic. The suburban schools, well, are not. I'm sure the taxpayers of the surrounding NYC counties would be thrilled to be paying their astronomical tax dollars, and then be forced to bus their children to schools in the city. Just so everyone can be "fair." But Joel Klein might take this approach to the extreme. In Brooklyn, he is allowing for the first all-Muslim public school. It seems that racial segregation is OK and so is religious segregation. The Khalil Gibran International Academy for Arabic and Islamic Culture is a leftwing, Arab/Islamic school, otherwise known as a madrassa. And it is funded by your tax dollars. Let's be clear ... I'm not saying that this is a training center for terrorists. The opposite may, in fact, be true. Just to show what a fair and open kind of guy I am, let's take a look at the curriculum for one of the classes. How would you like to take a class called "Hirabah-Not Jihad"? Here's a brief glance at your syllabus. "The purpose of this activity is to acquaint students with the concept of jihad. The lesson discusses the distinction between jihad as a principle of social justice, and as a military institution entrusted to authorities in society. Students learn about the categories of illegitimate violence in society, namely rebellion and terrorism, brigandage and other forms of mayhem against the public. Students should be able to:
Almonstaser was a public school teacher when 9/11 hit. When her students asked why Muslims and Arabs were behind the attacks she said that it was not really Arabs and Muslims who perpetrated the 9/11 attacks because she, as their teacher, and expert has determined that they could not have been.
Fair enough ... but then four years later she's singing the praises of an organization (CAIR) that was founded by supporters of an Islamic terrorist organization, Hamas? The American Arab Family Support Center (AAFSC) is the main organizer of the school. Their webpage used to read that they are trying to encourage and aid Arabs to use all kinds of taxpayer funded facilities and services to help them "reap the benefits of the American dream". But the real story here is the use of taxpayer dollars to create and fund a school specifically for students of one particular religion. I guess it's OK so long as that religion is Islam. Just try that with a Christian school and see how far you get.
The Senator said, "We need to stress to our children that guns are not toys, but deadly weapons which should always be regarded with extreme caution and handled with respect .. Restricting access to imitation firearms will help to drive that point home." Why can't parents teach their precious little angels about the "dangers of deadly weapons?" Why does the government feel the need to restrict access ... making our children ignorant to the concept of self-protection and the right to bear arms. Violators would face a fine of up to $1,000 and up to six months in prison. So if a child spends their allowance money on a toy gun at a Wal-Mart and he/she is discovered ... do they pay the fine? Do they go to jail? According to the law, parents who give toy firearms as a gift will absolutely be guilty under this regulatory legislation. And what about the cost to regulate this? A few days ago, didn't I tell you about the trillions of dollars the government wastes on regulating its citizens? Perhaps we'll have roadside stands on the major highways leading out of New Jersey ... just across the state line. There New Jersey families will be able to find toy guns as well as fireworks. Oh .. and before we move on. How about little toy soldiers? We had a story here a few weeks ago where some graduates put little green toy soldiers on their mortar boards (those funny little graduation hats) to honor our men and women serving in the war against Islamic fascism. They were made to snip off the little guns these soldiers were carrying. Zero tolerance, you know. Will little toy soldiers be outlawed? If the soldiers are toys then those little guns they're carrying are surely toys as well. The wussification of America continues! Gawd, are these pathetic left-wingers easy, or what? Yesterday on the show I set out to get the people at Media Myrmidons to give me a bit more publicity so that people wouldn't forget me while I was on vacation. They were all too happy to oblige. Here's your link. I wonder what David Brock got George Soros for Father's Day.
Mike Huckabee said that Michael Moore is an example of why the American health system is in the shape that it is currently in. Because of fatsos and people who don't take responsibility for their own health. Huckabee quit smoking and lost 110 pounds (by eating right and exercising) after he was diagnosed with diabetes. Meghan O'Hara, producer of "Sicko," said that if Republicans stopped sucking up to big health insurance corporation then "they wouldn't feel the need to blame Americans for this crisis." Americans are to blame ... Yup .. I'll be gone. Try not to cry too much. The Media Myrmidon folks will be able to cool down their tape recorders for a week. No real Internet access where I'm going, so we're going to stick with reading assignments. Stop by Nealz Nuze every day and Cristina will keep you up to speed on the stuff you need to know, as well as a bit of the unusual. Cristina seems to gravitate toward the unusual. REDNECK SCRAP BOOK Do you think this was set up to combat love bugs? More in the Redneck Scrap Book. READING ASSIGNMENTS
Over 100 people are sick after visiting the "Taste of Chicago." Apparently Chicago doesn't taste all that well. OK .. does this mother sound convincing? When it comes to unruly children on airplanes, I tend to side with the flight attendants, but this one does make you wonder. A large store in Dallas is going to start accepting pesos (that is Mexican money, for all your government educated folks) as a form of currency. More on this whiny argument of "the Canadian healthcare system is much better than America's because it's 'free.'" How in the hell did the Scooter Libby commutation turn into a race issue? The fight to end the Fairness Doctrine is in the Senate. Democrats say this is a non-issue ... yeah, just like the war on Islamic radicals is a bumper sticker slogan. Who does this "peace activist" think she is? She comes to America and then calls for our president (not her president) to be killed?? Yesterday on the show we were talking about the British government forcing its citizens to have less children because of environmental concerns. Well here's another article on the topic ... and notice the fancy language: "population stabilization." And, oh, look at that! It was originally proposed by the UN. Figures! Those of you who think that Islamic terrorists are nothing but radical, religious murderers - do not under estimate them. This article points to many of the high tech capabilities of such terrorists ... particularly their strategic use of the web. This is just heartbreaking. Lawyers and judges in England are going to stop wearing their wigs in court. The white, horse-hair wigs with fancy curls (and can cost up to $7,000) will now only be worn in criminal court. Some lawyers are upset because it gives them "an air of authority." What a shame. A parking space in New York City will cost you $225,000. | ||
