REDNECK SCRAP BOOK

There's a little disagreement as to whether or not this is really redneck. Help us decide! More in the Redneck Scrap Book.

READING ASSIGNMENTS

A third terrorist is charged in the failed car bomb plot in London and Glasgow.

House defeatocrats officially declared defeat last week when they voted to pull troops out of Iraq in four months. All of this, just to appease anti-war peace-nuts and get votes? We are empowering our enemies like never before ... not to mention undermining every life that has been lost in our war against Islamic extremism.

An amendment, which would have prevented the reinstatement of the Fairness Doctrine, failed in the Senate on Friday.

Senator Joseph Lieberman reminds us of our vulnerability. "Now is not the time to let down our guard against terrorists," he says. Will other defeatocrats please listen to this man!

Michael Moore's "world of we" vs. America's "world of me." What's so wrong with valuing individual freedom, liberty and a sense of personal responsibility? Nothing, Michael.

Is Israel going weak on radical Islam as well? Israel is granting amnesty to 75 percent of wanted Fatah terrorists (people who killed innocent civilians, including 22 school children). The terrorists promise to stop participating in terrorism. And we trust them because ... ?

The Taliban killed six girls coming home from their government run Afghan school. I point out "government" only because this is the Taliban's genius way of protesting the government ... by killing government school children.

Are Clinton and Edwards scared, or just too high up on their liberal high horses? They want to limit the number of people who can participate in debates to only the "serious" candidates. So much for the little guys.

And speaking of Hillary, here is a little article about our future president. Seasoned political analysts say she will win the primary, but more than just conservatives seem to dislike Mrs. Rodham.

An article appearing in a mainstream media newspaper actually defends Bush's presidency ... this might be a first.

Related to mainstream media: a Rasmussen poll recently taken shows that 39 % of Americans actually recognize liberal bias in the media. The exception was FOX News.

Here's an interesting article analyzing why doctors and engineers would likely take to radical Islam. Researchers say the link between the two is not shocking.

Some global warming news for Belinda. Australia experienced its coldest June since 1950. Where is all the evil CO2 now?

Another al Qaeda videotape emerged yesterday. (Shockingly) bin Laden calls for jihad and glorifies those who act as martyrs in the name of Allah. If the tape is real, it will be the first tap released in over a year.

How's this for government education. The UK has decided that children will no longer learn about Winston Churchill, one of the most famous historical figures in history. Instead, they will learn about other important topics such as global warming and the dangers of drugs.

Parents of the year: a couple starved their children because they (the parents) were too busy playing video games to feed them. I have a feeling this will somehow be blamed on the government, rather than these hideous "parents."

If there is a market there is a way. Germany is launching a TV station devoted entirely to 24/7 coverage of aging, death and dying
