| Friday, July 27, 2007 The Council of American Islamic Relations has decided to continue suing "John Does" that report suspicious activity. More specifically ... suspicious activity that someone believes might be somehow connected to a potential act of Islamic terrorism. Democrats this week magically had a change of heart and decided to include what is being referred to as a "John Doe" provision in the Homeland Security bill. This provision, should it become law, would protect individuals from harassing lawsuits from CAIR and other Islamic apologist organizations if they do, in fact, report suspicious activities. The Democrat change of heart came about when their initial refusal to provide such protections were discussed on evil talk radio shows. Now we have the usual suspects, that would be leftists, whining that this will lead to racial profiling. Give me a big league break. So ... CAIR has decided that it is still going to support anyone who wants to sue John Does. This includes the passengers who are being sued for reporting the Minneapolis six flying Imams.
If people happen to report anyone of Arab decent ... is that automatically considered racial profiling? According to CAIR, the answer is probably yes. Stand by to accept service on your lawsuit. Watch this clip with CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper. Remember, Hooper has spoken in the past of his desire to see America under Islamic law. It's pretty astounding. The guy is pretty glib ... but then he's had plenty of practice. You really need to take a few minutes to watch Hooper BS his way through this interview.
The book is "Camp of the Saints" by Jean Raspail. Here's a brief description from a review on Amazon.com by Lloyd Conway:
Good luck finding a copy of the book. Amazon.com lists four copies available starting at $85.00 a shot. On Barnes & Noble.com they simply tell you that a new copy is not available. None either on eBay. Someone wrote in to say you can get the book here. The Chairman of the FCC, Kevin Martin, says that there is no reason for Congress to pass legislation on the Fairness Doctrine. He says that he has no intention of reinstating it. Fine. But what about when Mr. Martin - a Bush appointee - is no longer in office? What if Hillary Clinton appoints the next Chairman? What is to stop her from selecting from her liberal pool, someone who will assuredly put an end to talk radio? The answer is nothing. So long as Congress does not pass legislation on the Fairness Doctrine.
Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean were border patrol agents. They are now serving 11- and 12-year sentences respectively. Why? For shooting and wounding a Mexican trying to escape after failing to smuggle 743 pounds of marijuana across the border. They are now sitting in jail. Their longest sentence is for "discharge of a firearm in relation to a crime of violence," a violation of section 924(c)(1)(a) of the U.S. Code. The minimum is a ten year prison sentence. The "crime of violence," by the way, is drug smuggling. But there's a catch. Simply discharging a firearm near a violent crime is not illegal. It is merely a factor used in sentencing. There is a lot of legal jargon involved. But basically these guys couldn't use their guns if the Mexican was only committing a drug crime because they are Border Agents and can only use their weapons to prevent border crossing. Does that make any sense? Well, what the hell. We are talking about government here, aren't we?
French President Nicolas Sarkozy says that we should trust Arab countries with nuclear power and that they should have the ability to develop the technologies. Of course, he says it should be for "peaceful purposes" only. Sarkozy says that if we fail to give Arab countries nuclear capabilities, this will cause a "war of civilizations." You mean we aren't already engaged in that war of civilizations? He denies any link between the nuclear deal and the recent release of six foreign medics who spent eight years in Libyan jails. REDNECK SCRAP BOOK Hey, do you think Debra Jackson, quoted here, is a redneck? Hmm.... More in the Redneck Scrap Book. READING ASSIGNMENTS For those of you who think I make all of this stuff up, here is an article in USA Today about all of the accommodations government schools are willing to gives to Muslims. Republican Minority leader John Boehner says Congressional Republicans are back to their founding principles of limited and accountable government. Are we ready to believe that? Here's something you don't see every day. Harry Reid admits he was wrong about the funding of border security. Meanwhile, all but one senator voted for the $3 billion in additional spending border security. Any guesses who it was? I don't know which is worse in this story. The author insinuating that government is the answer to environmental issues or the fact that Gordon Brown blames the floods in the UK on global warming.
A study found that on at least two occasion astronauts flew the shuttle into space while drunk. Did you know that they have a 12-hour 'bottle to throttle' rule? Things are getting ugly between Hillary and Obama. Now they are using each other's language to attack one another. Michael Vick ought to just love this! Thieves stole a 1,000 gallon swimming pool right out of a backyard in Paterson, NJ. Not a drop of water was found. Hollywood is gearing up to film anti-war movies. I guess some things never change. And just in time for election season! The FBI has to shell out $100 million for the wrongful conviction of 4 murder suspects in 1968. This story is for Cristina. Looks like Lindsay Lohan, the celebuslut, could serve 30 to 180 days in jail. OK ... Get the kids out of the room and watch this video from a listener who, for obvious reasons, shall forever remain nameless. For the crafty sorts, make your own pool of blood pillow! And you thought we were disturbed. Spiderman + sex education = ??? A former narc helps potheads avoid trouble with the law. A listener wrote in wanting video of Neal. How about this one? Neal had a little bit of fun with the Fixed Earth people again today. Here's the site he was reading from. | ||
