State Republican honchos from around the nation are going to meet this Thursday. There are 168 members of the Republican National Committee. Thus far 47 of them have signed a petition saying that they will oppose any immigration reform policy that will grant legal residency to illegal aliens. Fine, as far as it goes. Will the petition also state support for spending as much money as is needed to close - tight - the porous border between the U.S. and Mexico? Will the petition support the denial of all federal crime-fighting grants to cities who adopt "sanctuary city" policies with respect with the illegals sucking off their taxpayers? I'm not through yet. Here's some more ideas for the petition:
But .. what the heck. I guess the denial of amnesty to illegal aliens is a start. Maybe they're getting the message.
All together now ..... Awwwwwwwwww. Poor Abu! Apparently there aren't enough soft furnishings in his cell. He also claims to be the victim of prison bullying. Let's take a look at Abu Hamza, a Muslim goon who publicly supports al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden. Not only did Hazma praise the 7/7 British bombings, he is also not all that fond of people who sell alcohol. Abu says: "Make sure that the person who gave him the license for that wine shop doesn't exist any more on the Earth. Finish him up. Give him dawa (inviting non-Muslims to accept the truth of Islam). If he doesn't respect dawa, kill him." He's also upset over the phase "suicide attack": "It is not called suicide - this is called shahada, martyring, because if the only way to hurt the enemies of Islam except by taking your life for that, then it is allowed ... The person who hinders Allah's rule, this man must be eliminated." Golly. This SOB doesn't have any soft furniture in prison. Wait until the New York Times gets their reporters on this one! Wait! There's more! While on trial in January 2006, he accused the Jewish people of being "blasphemous, treacherous and dirty" and said that this was "why Hitler was sent into the world". The al-Maqreze Centre for Historical Studies in the UK says it will do all it can do to help Abu Hamza. They say that this terrorist is being treated unjustly. They are afraid that he might die behind bars. I'm sure a lot of us share their concerns. Meanwhile, it costs over $100,000 per year to keep him in prison. While he sits in his non-padded cell, his family receives about $1,400 a week in various benefits from the government. Oh and don't forget their London home which is worth over a million dollars, and recently got a $50,000 makeover.
The group of scholars calls itself Scholars for Peace in the Middle East. They say that this is an attack on academic freedoms (like this is the first one). In May, the UK's University and College Union voted to debate a boycott. At the conference, union members were urged to consider the "moral implications" of links with Israeli universities. There is no debate in Great Britain as to whether or not to boycott Jordon, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the other Middle Eastern countries who have made a studied practice of rejecting Palestinians and treating them as nothing more than cannon fodder for their war against Israel.
The goal of the project is to find out about 'migrant' workers (aka. Illegal aliens) health habits. So after the illegal aliens finish picking berries in the fields, the students flock to Campo Blanco, a migrant camp in Washington County in order to interview the workers. The students are working with Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center to collect the information about the illegal aliens' medical history, chronic illnesses and pains, the last time they saw a doctor. When finished collecting their data, the students will compile, create a fancy little report and distribute it to the Virginia Garcia center and the state of Oregon. "The information is intended to shape health programs tailored to the needs of seasonal workers." Yeah ... "seasonal workers." Not "illegal aliens". Let's try to be a bit more honest here. The information is intended to facilitate the seizure of wealth from people in this country legally, and then to spend that plundered wealth providing social and medical services to criminals who violate our laws every day they remain in the United States." I'll let you know when they change the language of their proposal.
This tactic is needed because young thugs use the bus stop to go between the mall (located nearby) and other locations where they want to wear their colors and flash their fancy hand signals while generally making a nuisance of themselves. A psychologist at the Criminal Justice Department at Seattle University says that changing the routine of criminals by adding the classical music will throw off criminals' routine. Good enough. Sounds to me like we ought to be playing classical music in prisons as well. REDNECK SCRAP BOOK This tractor action sequence just goes to show that the U.S. doesn't have a corner on the redneck market. More in the Redneck Scrap Book.
READING ASSIGNMENTS Obama is working overtime to avoid becoming a stereotype for black politicians. You know, of course, that the mere fact that I've posted this link makes me a racist. The U.S. is going to sell weapons to Saudi Arabia, and Iran has something to say about that. Shut the hell up, Iran. I mentioned this on the air yesterday, but can somebody please tell me what Barack Obama has ever done? The Alberto Gonzales charade in Congress last week made a decent cover-up for arguably more important information (that Democrats would rather you not know). Our Terrorist Surveillance Program isn't strong enough. Just what our Congress needs ... a big waste of time. Yesterday they were voting on resolutions to make Japan apologize for actions during WWII. Amnesty International is just thrilled. Meanwhile the Iraqi government decided that if you can't agree on legislation, just take a vacation ... until September! Here's an interesting article on liberal bias in academia. A good read now that Ward Churchill's has been sacked. Could it be? An article in the New York Times with good news from Iraq? Congress says that we have an "energy crisis." This Wall Street Journal column says that we are going completely the wrong way with our energy policy. You'll hear about this and more on the show today. The Army is offering a $20,000 bonus for anyone willing to enlist as a quick recruit and ship out for training in 30 days. A U.S. company has invented an umbrella that tells you when it is going to rain. If it is going to rain within the next 12 hours, the handle lights up to warn you! Now in Austria you can sign up to get text messages from the Pope. What's his address? Let's try pope@vatican.com. 23 Fearsome Defense Ministry Logos From Around The World.
