AMNESTY BILL ---- DEAD ????

They had a little test vote in the Senate late yesterday ... to see of they could get the votes necessary for cloture and bring the amnesty bill to the floor for a vote. Not enough votes .... so the amnesty bill was withdrawn. Withdrawn for now.

The Democrats immediately went into defense mode. The media has been reporting for weeks that this bill was belonged to Ted Kennedy and John McCain. McCain was distancing himself from the bill earlier this week ... so that pretty much left Kennedy hanging out there alone. So here comes Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to tell all the world that this bill actually belonged to George Bush.

What an amazing tactic! When the bill is born you brag about the bipartisan nature of the bill and showcase your icon, Ted Kennedy, as a major mover and shaker behind this wonderful effort, and then the bill falls on its face. Suddenly it belongs to George Bush. The problem is that the government educated myrmidons of this country will buy Reid's story. He knows it.

This whole affair is particularly distressing to Democrats and the left because it presented them with clear evidence that the right is not dead. Perhaps they thought they dealt a death crushing to conservatives with last year's elections. Maybe they thought the death blow could be delivered with the election of President Rodham next year. Now we have conservative America standing up to this transparent Hispandering bill -- this amnesty bill -- and the support started to erode.

Do you know that they couldn't even manage to pass an amendment that would have eliminated illegal aliens with criminal records from the amnesty provisions?

Speaking of criminal aliens. I suppose it didn't help things this week when some illegal Mexican .. a Mexican who had twice before been deported .. got drunk, stole a car and killed a man in a grinding collision. How many people are killed by illegal alien drunk drivers every day? Some studies put the number at around 12 or so. Nice going.

Politicians who see these illegal aliens as a great source of future political support aren't going to give up. Don't go to sleep on this one. This bill is coming back.

PARIS HILTON -- PATHETIC LITTLE RICH GIRL

My favorite new description of this worthless female? A "Celebutard." Perfect. Describes here in every way.

Well .. the celebutard went home from jail yesterday ... home to her Hollywood mansion to serve the remaining portion of her sentence under house arrest. Apparently she had a rash. Maybe a pimple. Who knows? What we all do know is that this was celebrity justice at work.

Just how does celebrity justice work in Los Angeles? The celebutard was in jail for exactly 4.330 minutes. Do the math. There are 1440 minutes in a day. That means she was in jail for 3.007 days. But wait! She actually got credit for serving five days! How did that happen? Easy ... she showed up at the Los Angeles County Jail at five minutes to Midnight on day one, and left at five minutes after midnight on day five. She gets credit for serving each day though she was only there for five minutes.

Chuckie Schumer is going to love this. He loves to slam tax cuts for high-achievers by holding out Paris Hilton as being the best example available of a wealthy American. He talks of tax cuts in the context of this pathetic creature. Hundreds of thousands of men and women around this country work their tails off in their small businesses to live the American dream and become successful. A recent American Express survey showed that two-thirds of small business owners from Chuckie Schumer territory plan to take as much as a weeks vacation this year. In the South that figure is 57 percent. In the North Central states only one-half of small business owners say they will manage a weeks vacation. These are the people who drive this country, not Paris Hilton. These are the people who provide the jobs, and these are the people who are reviled for their wealth. They report all business income on their personal tax returns ... and Demotards (ah ha!) celebrate raising their taxes and comparing them to Paris Hilton.

Poor little girl. Did you hear that she cried throughout the night at this jail? Did you hear that she kept repeatedly pushing the medical emergency button? Awwwww. Don't you feel sorry for her?

Her release from jail yesterday was an incredible black eye for our criminal justice system. Be a celebrity. Be white. Have blonde hair ... and the law just doesn't apply to you. Be sentenced to jail, come down with a rash, cry all night, and you get to go home.

Why is this idiot anything more than an object of ridicule?

Maybe there will be good news today. The judge who originally sentenced the celebutard to jail has ordered that she be picked up in a Sheriff's black and white squad car today and be brought back to the court. If this piglet isn't slammed back in the jail to serve the rest of her sentence then we have to admit that pretty much everything they've been saying about celebrity justice and white privilege is true.

TERRORISTS TO USE US COURTS

Fine, Democrats, have it your way. The Senate Judiciary Committee approved a bill yesterday, which will allow Guantanamo Bay detainees to challenge their imprisonment in US federal courts. Basically, terrorists can go through the US court system with the same rights as a US citizen - like little ole' you and me.

The bill passed without debate.

Republicans just gave up. They put down their political weapons and said, "Ok guys, let's just let them have Guantanamo." Are these the kinds of Representatives you want in office - the kind of people who will not fight for the basic ideals they believe in? Whimps. Not even a damn word on the subject.

Oh and thank you to RINO - that's Republican In Name Only - Senator Arlen Specter for voting in favor of the bill. You were the only Republican to vote for it. Congratulations. You maintain your status as King of the RINOs.

Why aren't our soldiers afforded the luxury of the US court system when captured by terrorists? Oh that's right! Because we are fighting terrorists. Because they have absolutely no regard for any one who does not bow to Allah. While terrorists get treatment in our court system, this is what Al Qaeda does with its prisoners.

But Democrats (and Arlen Specter) will continue to cry "poor terrorists." Any chance to undermine the United States.

You do understand, don't you, what this shows the Islamic terrorists? It shows them that we are weak. That we are losing our resolve. More goat's milk toasts in the caves of Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran are on tap for today!

U.N. SCANDAL

Corruption at the United Nations. Any political body is just bound to be caught up in scandal. This one is pretty ballsy.

A former U.N. official was convicted of helping a friend get $100 million worth of UN contracts. Why would he be so generous? In return, the official got a major discount of two luxury Manhattan apartments and cold, hard cash. Sanjaya Bahel, of India, will receive a penalty of up to 30 years in prison.

His buddy, Nishan Kohli, also testified to bribing two U.N. officers with nights on the town, including strip clubs and prostitutes in the hotel room.

Must be nice to work at the UN ...

Oh and the United States funds the U.N. and its specialized agencies with more than $1 billion annually. More than any other country. That money has to come from somewhere ... your tax dollars!

Bush is losing American support because of immigration reform. But guess what? Democrats are too. After giving Democrats the Congress, Americans are realizing that Republicans aren't the problem ... it's government. Period.

What does it even mean to be conservative these days? President Bush and '08 candidates are sending mixed signals.

This is exactly what we need. At a time when we should be closing the borders, Bush decides to make it easier for people to travel to/from Canada and Mexico.

The stem cell bill passes Congress. But Bush will veto it anyway.

Ever heard of the word "McJob?" Apparently it's a dirty word associating McDonald's and boring, low-paid lobs with no future. Sounds about right! But McDonald's wants it removed from the dictionary.
